It was great working with WES. From the initial review and quote of the project, working with JJ, to the communication from the front office and the installation. They knew we were hoping to get A/C in as quick as possible and called as soon as there was a cancellation to move us up two weeks! The installation was very smooth, they even assessed our home's layout to shorten the A/C line by going a different route than other companies had quoted. This worked so much better, more efficient, and looks better on the home as well. Great customer service and care to do this. When any issue arose during install, which was few, they let me know right away and got things taken care of with no extra charge to me. Overall a great experience and the products are working great!
Cris provided excellent, considerate and very efficient service, not only on his initial service call, but also on his return visit to replace a part on our generator.
It was a 2-day install. The installers came unprepared on day one and did not bring some of the material like pipes to complete the work for the 1st day and they left early by 2.30PM. They started at 10AM approximately essentially working for about 4 hours. The next day they had to rush and finish the job to compensate for the 1st day. As a result, they stayed late till 8pm thus rushing the customer with the filling out the paperwork, providing them walkthrough and answering questions. They were fatigued (though we offered food and drink), lacked energy by end of day and this affected how they did the closing with the customer (me) - it was not a good experience, and they could not answer some of the questions related to the thermostat and heatpump etc. The thermostat installer failed to install the WIFI adapter, and I identified their miss and called them in the next day to install it. Also, they left no proper documentation/manual for the thermostat. The thermostat they provided is a cheap kind and technologically inferior to the one I had before which was a much better quality WIFI thermostat. Now I am concerned about the longevity of the furnace and heat pump. The sales proposal was ambiguous - it did not list that a Carrier equivalent model for heat pump will be installed and also it did not mention that a wired adapter will be used for the thermostat though it claimed WIFI. Usage of wired adapter makes calling a WIFI duplicitous. Also, the post-sales support from the salesperson was frustrating and quite tense.
My furnace quit working during a cold spell recently, my neighbor came over to look at it and was able to tell what was broken but not fix it. I called Washington Energy Service that Saturday night and was called back quite quickly. They were able to schedule service for the next day, Sunday. Pat Carr came when he said he would and promptly identified the broken part. They carried parts in their trucks but not for my Heil furnace. When I explained I had a recently hatched baby parakeet in the house he said that one of the brands he had was very comparable to the Heil. He pulled the part from my furnace and did a visual comparison and felt it would work. He installed that new part and with fingers crossed, turned on the furnace. It came on perfectly and he did a thorough check to make it was perfect and would do the correct job. I was so grateful that he was willing to try with a very similar part and that it worked. Had he not done that it would have been a least a couple days to get scheduled for a repair with the Heil part. My baby parakeet has grown up into a fully feathered young bird, thanks in part to Pat Carr. I certainly recommend the service of Washington Energy Services!!
Price gouging!!! We have a 1,300 SQ ft home that currently has oil heat. We're getting solar panels and wanted to add a heat pump. The heat pump costs $4,000 but they quoted us $30,000! We already have ducts throughout the home. New electric panel. Should be a very easy install so why they're trying to charge an additional $26,000 to install is just insane! The estimate wasn't itemized so we can't see what the extra costs are for. Another company quoted us $12,000 but have a 3 month wait for installation. As we already have a very good air conditioner, we can wait and save the $18,000. I've heard from others that they are some of the most expensive energy companies around. Stay away!!!
This review is particularly about the lead service tech, Pat Carr. Kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He fixed up our system while it was under the 1-year warranty and three separate parts broke. Appreciate his quick work and general knowledge.
Before the pandemic, we got our estimates for a full HVAC system (AC/Furnace/Air filtration/Thermostat) and Generator from Washington Energy Services. Then the pandemic happened which caused supply chain issues that hindered us from obtaining the products and equipment we wanted. Charles, our sales representative, gave us his word that he would do everything in his power to make sure we got the system we preferred, and he made it happen! Charles went above and beyond to meet our needs and preferences. He brought us the absolute best installers in the business. Roman, Pavel and his assistant, who were in charge of the HVAC system, along with Daniel and his assistant, who installed the Generator. They all did an amazing job planning, organizing and implementing a super quality, white glove installation, along with some added customization which was simply genius. They were very meticulous about every detail and didn’t leave any stone unturned. They were also very friendly and answered all of our questions and concerns. Despite the challenging circumstances Charles and his staff and all the admin contacts from Washington Energy Services came through for us. Their knowledge, expertise and customer service are second to none. They are stacked with talented professionals and have amazing customer service. From top to bottom they are the absolute best and I highly recommend them to everyone!
We hired Washington Energy to re-side our 85-year-old house with Hardie siding. We talked to 3 companies, all Elite Preferred Hardie contractors. Even with a special promotion, WA Energy was the priciest of the three, but it was worth it. We chose them because the sales process felt consultative and thoughtful, and they use in-house crews. We had a great experience, and the end product is better than we even hoped for. Massive credit and thanks goes to the crew - Brian, Ramon, and John. We kind of miss them now that they are done, they were so pleasant and easy to work with. They were gentle with our garden and landscaping and really cared about the work. They explained our options and came up with creative solutions to go above and beyond expectations (a house this old has all sorts of secrets under the old siding). For example, they discovered that the space around the windows was not insulated, so they added foam. They fixed some funky duct work and added small details that really make the house look great. Thanks to Dan as well, who came out several times to check on the job and talk about tricky solutions.
In March 2022 I was pre-approved for an $18,000 order and for installation in July 2022 of a Daikon A/C Split System Heat Pump from Washington Energy Services. After months without update from my sales rep, my system was suddenly not available, a victim of ongoing supply chain issues and the order was cancelled in late 2022, when I did finally reach my sales rep. The sales rep claims he was trying to call me for response and next steps with the delays of my unit and this never occurred! In March 2023, I just tried to re-schedule a site assessment through their office and also made a call direct to my sales rep, to review available equipment for order and to schedule immediate install. The sales rep will not return my calls. He and his office at Washington Energy Services are clearly ignoring an urgent request from me for updated sale and likely with an increased cost of $20,000, for immediate order and installation! Best of luck to anyone else out there…
Great help and care of customers. Installed an AC and sub panel. Install was done well and worked with me on placement of piping.
Woke up to no hot water. Called WES as they had installed the heater. They came out the same day and fixed the problem within minutes. Cris was a friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled technician. Not only would I recommend WES to anyone, I intend to hire them for upcoming door and siding projects.
WES installed new windows throughout my home. The proceeds initially was smooth. I felt like the sales rep listened and knew exactly what I was looking for. When it came to installing the windows I was extremely disappointed and the resolution offered costed me more money out of pocket. When asked if a rendering of the custom windows could be provided I was told no- so I relied on conversations and pictures sent to WES to confirm the style and pattern of grids I was looking for. When the windows were installed they were all wrong. The windows that were meant to have higher low e coating were in the wrong area of the house- resulting in the windows of the front of my house having dark tint when they were to be installed in the back of the house. The pattern of the grids were wrong and every window installed had scuffs, scratches and were missing pieces. WES solution was for me to pay to fix only some of the problems and left me with scratched windows and a bottle of touch up paint. The sales rep who originally was helpful was extremely rude and dishonest.
Everybody I dealt with were great from beginning to end. The duct work performed by the team is a work of art. I'll be calling them for any HVAC need I can think of moving forward.
Patrick and Diego removed our old heat pump and installed our new ductless heat pump(s), they were extremely efficient, didn't get in our way or bother us at all, were very kind and polite, a pleasure to have around. If we need any work like this again, we hope they come back! Update: Pat Carr came out to help with some system errors, wonderful job explaining that it was user error causing it, and a detailed rundown of how the system works and how to use it correctly, with the wifi option and smarthome setup we have set up. We couldn't ask for better service than we get from WES.
I just had WA Energy Services install a heat pump onto my furnace. They quoted far less than some of their competition and the salesman was a lot more efficient with our time than others we talked to. Everyone I interacted with was extremely professional - the lead installer (Vlad) was really great to work with. Everything was clean and perfectly back to rights when they were done. Installation was completed on time, looks fantastic and works very well. Thanks!
I haven't written a review since 2015 and wasn't going to review this company but decided it was something I wanted to do. All I can say in a word is "NO!" Unbelievably negative experience. I am so grateful that they didn't do more damage to my has than what was done. I kind of had a bad feeling when they showed up to my house and then things just snowballed. Bottom line. I'm going with another company in the Seattle area. there are lots of really good companies. Olsen Electric, Gene Johnson, Ballard home heating. try someone else. their Yelp reviews are bad. I am also contacting L&I and BBB. Best of luck to whom ever is readying this.
We had a gas fireplace installation. The guy who came out to give a quote was very pleasant. We waited about 6 months to get the funding to do the installation, and they said the price had gone up by $1000. We asked if they would honor the original estimate which they did- called it a managers discount. However, little did we know that they would downgrade what we had chosen so that we what we thought we were getting- a fireplace with a brick background- ended up being a black box. When I called to explain that we had chosen the Supreme and were lead to believe it included the brick interior- we were told that was a markup and would be an additional $450. Also, because they shut our gas line off on the day of installation, our water heater pilot had gone out- leaving us without hot water later that evening and into the next morning. We couldn't get the pilot lit, so they sent a technician out the next day. It just seemed a bit sloppy that they didn't check that before leaving- since after all - they are an energy company. The product itself seems solid- but we are not happy with the misleading quote and lack of attention to detail. When we called about these things- the office person seemed a bit dismissive. In retrospect, I wish we had gone with Sutter Home and Hearth since they seem very transparent and detail oriented- also gas fireplaces is all they do. I have a feeling we would have had better service.
I've had them install my forced air gas furnace and my tankless water heater. You will pay a bit more, but the quality and the warranty on work was worth it. Easy to work with.
Although Bryan arrived earlier than our original scheduled afternoon time, but he did provide high quality services, and our heat was restored quickly. We're very satisfied!
We love our new furnace and AC! Install was timely and went smoothly. Great job by Hector, Anselmo, and Vlad, as well as the electrical team. Left our garage tidy. Very pleased with the whole experience. Worth every penny. Recommend highly!
