Quality of service went down, but prices went up since Stan's took over. I miss the old Texas AC Specialist.
I hugely appreciate FRANK, the actual repair person who came after the estimate. Honest, knowledgeable, kind and skilled. Solved my problem quickly without an attempt to upsell me at all. Ask for Frank M. He's terrific. I also appreciate the terrific woman who answered my call at the main office and who was also extremely helpful....be careful with anyone else there tho. Very.
I've used Texas AC before for plumbing and had a wonderful experience with Blake but my AC experience has been a nightmare. I called to have someone come out to look at a broken ac and was told a technician would call ... 2 hours later I call back and the same story. I call in the morning (after they find no information about me calling the day before, twice) and they assure me someone will be by from 5-7pm. At 7:30 pm no one has shown up so I have to call again. Larry (not the tech) sends me a text saying they are at a call and I am the next person ahead. At 8:30 pm he tells me he is on the way. It is now 10:00 pm and they have not finished another job nor will they be done for another 2 hours. I understand it's summer and it's busy but there were ZERO apologies for anything and this is day two of no AC In 100 degree weather. I will not be using this company again.
Admittedly, they had to come out twice, but they honored their work and the second visit they didn’t charge me for a thing. The serviceman, Frank M, was very professional and knew his stuff. My AC is working like a champ. If you call, ask for Frank and get it fixed right the first time. Thank you!
They responded quickly to my call to address the problem with my AC unit, and both technicians who ended up helping me and got it running again were courteous and professional. Thanks, keep up the good work!
Eric and Carlos came and replaced my mother’s entire air conditioning system this last Thursday and they were wonderful. Very polite and super neat; they left no mess at all. Both were knowledgeable and quick with their work. They were also very helpful and patient with us showing us how to use everything. We would definitely recommend and use them again in the future.
I used Texas AC & Plumbing when my AC went out. A tech by the name of Bill came out. He was friendly and had my AC up and running in what seemed liked no time. I would definitely recommend this company for all AC and plumbing repairs.
Frank did a great job and explained to me what I need to do monthly to take care of ac unit. He is very knowledgeable and thorough.
When I called for an A/C tune-up, I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to schedule me within 48 hours. Frank was my service guy and he was polite and thorough and explained to me everything he was doing. I'm surprised the whole process was so easy. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends!

Our A/C went out Memorial Day weekend and we were scrambling to find someone to come out and look at our unit. These guys not only got to our house in less than 45 min, but they sent their best man Frank to take care of us. He worked quickly, professionally, and made sure we understood everything that was going on. As a homeowner, there is nothing more I appreciate than a company who strives to meet customer needs quickly and honestly. Will definitely be calling back should any other issues arise.
We have been using Texas AC & Plumbing for over 5 years and they have always been excellent to work with! They are priced fairly, are prompt and I have never had an issue. Beyond that both their technicians and office staff are great at communicating what is going on so you never have a suprise!
Extremely professional. Came by in the evening to see the problem and returned in the A. M. To complete the job. Would definitely use and recommend the plumber and company again.
The service was excellent. I called the answering service early in the morning before they were opened and I received call soon after they opened. The air condition person ( Frank) came promptly and worked diligently to fix my unit. Very professional!
Texas A/C installed a new A/C unit - what a terrific experience! James is super knowledgeable, provided a range a recommendations, organized the onsite team and crane rental (condo building, compressor on the roof.) The installers were great, very fast, answered all of my questions. The office staff were great, called to make sure everything went well and emailed the invoice, receipt and warranty information right away. I highly recommend this company!
Anytime I’ve needed something, they were quick and fixed it for a reasonable price. Frank and (a plumber I can’t remember the name of, sorry :/) were super friendly and knowledgeable. Will continue coming back!
This company is great to do business with. Great customer care, reasonable prices and very knowledgeable staff. They went above and beyond for me, keeping my old failing system operating at no cost while the replacement one was on order and then did a great job installing and following through helping me navigate the complex rebates world. Highly recommend them A++
Check the yelp reviews first. Very disappointed. Moved into a house with propane with two furnaces installed by TX AC Specialist in Summer 2016. Unfortunately, the installer never added the propane conversion kit to change the units from natural gas to propane when they put in the new systems. No notice on units and no documentation was made. And TX AC specialist never came back or followed up to complete the job. The house was unoccupied for 2 years so the issue went unnoticed. New owner buys the house. Unbeknownst to him, the kits still aren't installed. Tries to run the heat, but it won't get warm. Calls TX AC Specialist who inspects and confirms the issue is that the kits weren't installed, and now soot has coated the inside of the units. They are ruined. And, the TX AC Specialist technician says running the units in their sooty condition is a fire hazard - creating a danger to the inhabitants. Instead of taking responsibility for its mistake of not adding the kits, the company is now charging the owner $2400 to replace the two (barely used) furnaces. To top it off, the person on the phone blamed the customer for not knowing the units couldn't be run without this problem happening. He claimed he's never had this problem, that someone else would have "messed with their systems" to turn them on, and it wasn't his responsibility to let anyone know about the hazard. He said the company was "too busy" in the summer to add the kits that he had right there in his office. The company set up these systems to fail, and created a fire risk by not adding the kits at installation. It's frustrating when companies do not take responsibility for their mistakes. Do not use. -------------------------------------------- UPDATE: The service manager called and apologized. He agreed the situation wasn't handled properly. The repair charge was reduced.
Quick and friendly response. The technician that came out named Ross was super helpful and cool. Problem resolved. Will definitely use these guys again in the future should another problem arise.
