Quick service, a little pushy on getting the new unit but explained well why it's best to get a new unit and provided a 0% 5 year financing. Plus we received cookies in the mail shortly after getting the new unit.

On June 15, 2021, Barnes rep visited my home to repair my AC system. On his report he stated, Found D/S (downstairs) compressor not running, compressor overheated cooled with hose, check motor starter-good, wiring-good, one lead has been replaced before could not get compressor to run at this time. Found U/S unit low on Freon, added 1.5lbs. I didn't see him add any Freon. He charged me $242.36 for running water on my compressor. Before he left, he made a comment, it might come back on and I will send someone out to price a new system for your home! So, on June 16, another rep from Barnes AC came out to check the unit and to give me a quote. He gave me a price for a Lennox 3 ton 16 seer gas heated system for $5,564. I didn't feel comfortable about my system being totaling inoperable so, I decided to call Ball's AC. Once Ball's rep came to my home to check the AC, he immediately noticed that my breaker outside was turned "off" and that my valve cap was missing that released all of the Freon from the unit. This is the report from Ball's rep found breaker off to outdoor unit, and valve cap removed recently. Turned breaker back on after testing for short to ground and system came on. Tested "REFRIGERANT LEVELS" and the unit was low. Customer stated, Had different company out yesterday to service unit. Added needed refrigerant and replaced cap. The bottom line is this. I didn't need another system....I needed refrigerant added and my unit is working great! Always get a second opinion, it could save you thousand of dollars! I forgot to add, I reported this to the BBB.

Stay away. Keep looking. Highly unethical. Borderline illegal price gouging. I will report to DA too. You charged me roughly $200 for a $7 part I found online. Couldn't you have been happy with $100 charge for your $7 part? I have a family to support too! You literally took school clothes from my kids, Mr Barnes.

I was charged almost $500 without explanation or a receipt for the charges. My ac was never fixed but they made sure to send out a salesperson. They followed up with me to tell me i was wrong about how I felt and then I was laughed at and told I needed to handle it like grown up and shouldn't have left them a bad review. I still never got a receipt and they also removed a part they replaced to only still charge me for it. A apology and a refund for the part taken back is in order.

They sent a quote. I had options. Each was explained to my liking. They made the appointment date and time. Called that morning in the way and arrived on time. Care for my property was perfect, cloth on floor, careful with walls, etc. The techs explained all and worked efficiently. Awesome response and customer service. The techs were professional. Can't really commit on work because they refuse to come work on unit because they did not install unit. Seems like that's a good way to run yourself out of business. After all you can't install every unit out there. Things break and go out on units. Seems to me you wanna grow your business you would want to work on other peoples stuff do a great job and have a customer for life. Guess not. So I got a quote from you 6 years ago. Along with two other quotes as I always do. Fosters Heating and Air and Tillman. The lowest price got the job. 6 years later a pump goes out that I'm happy to pay for. And your office says you don't work on units you didnt install. So either you Sir or your staff is lying. Don't really care which all I know is it was a simple case of calling to get ac service which you guys declined to provide. Which is your right to as is my right to post what I think about your business. I called you guys first because you had good reviews on working on mini splits. I'm sorry you were butt hurt cause you didnt get install job 6 years ago.
