Smart Air installed our unit in 2010 and we can recommend them without reservation. We have no complaints about any of different service people who have come to our home over the years, but I believe that Chase, who came today, was really in a class by himself in terms of communicating well and inspiring confidence in his expertise.
Ac went out Friday, called a bunch of places (going down the google list) and Smart air was the first to actually respond and came out same day! Said they needed a part and would send quote and were back out yo fix in no time. The tech was super friendly, knew exactly what he was doing, sent detailed emails of issues and fixed everything so fast.
Have worked with Ambrose and Jacob. They are both very helpful ✅

My AC unit stopped working during a stretch of 100 degree days. I was able to get an appointment within a day. They identified the problem and fixed it quickly. Our technician was Austin, he was professional and knowledgeable. Great service.
Our AC went out days before my wedding and Smart Air not only installed a brand new unit in less than 24 hours, but Ambrose helped me navigate a claim on my home warranty for it. They did a great job on the unit and the customer service was great.
I received quotes from multiple ac companies and I found Smart Air to be the best option for my family. They listened to my concerns and offered an affordable and simple solution, which worked! Others wanted to upgrade my system for 15k+. I also purchased their service plan to take advantage of the system cleaning and check up. Both gentleman(big shout out to Jacob Maupin for waiting out the weather to clean my outdoor components) who came to my home were thorough and informative with their work, while also treating my space with care. Can't recommend highly enough.
I will recommend everyone I know to Smart Air! Our AC went out during a heat wave and many HVAC companies simply stopped answering their phones or returning calls due to the high volume of requests. Smart Air, on the other hand, answered on the first ring and had a tech out within a day! They scheduled an after-hours appointment for us (LOVE that they offer these), but had a cancellation ahead of us so went ahead and sent tech, Austin, out early. Austin was super friendly, knowledgeable, and QUICK. He had all of the parts on him and was able to fix everything within ~2 hours. He even followed up with an email containing pictures of all of his repairs. Great service all around!
I've used this company for awhile, and am impressed each time they come by. I recently had Jacob Maupin help me out with diagnosing and fixing a difficult coolant leak, and highly recommend him!
We had our quarterly maintenance today and our service technicians were thorough and professional as always. Shannon is always a delight to work with in the office. We have used Smart Air for over 12 years and they have always provided great service and skilled technicians. The techs were VERY thorough in checking all our A/C systems and then clearly, professionally, and patiently relayed their findings and recommendations.

My parents AC was not cooling last night and Smart Air was able to visit their house today after a cancellation. Jacob Maupin was the technician and he was able to assess the issue quickly and get the AC cooling again. My parents indicated that Jacob was professional and very helpful - thanks to Jacob and Smart Air for addressing the issue so quickly on this very hot week in Austin!
Smart Air Cooling & Heating was able to make an after hours service call, same day and within 1.5 hours. They arrived timely and diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. We were very happy customers!
Nothing but good experiences with Smart Air. We’ve used them for service as well as new A/C / Heating installation and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Everything is spelled out clearly in black and white as well as explained thoroughly and any “issues” are promptly addressed. Special shout out to Ambrose for being super detailed oriented. I appreciate that as some who notices the finer details and can really appreciate when a company and their reps do as well. This is what separates the amateurs from the pros. When the time comes to add a/c to my shed/office, they’re the first and only company I’ll trust.
Smart Air has never let us down over the nearly 2 years we've worked together. I had a place I used, but they became aggressive with upsells and impersonal with a call center. Overall I developed the feeling that our needs weren't super important to them so I looked to move my business elsewhere. SmartAir has always done great work and has ALWAYS been very responsive. There are still upsells, but I feel like the company ultimately values and respects its customers. Ideally any company only wants to solve problems its customer has. Sometimes the service seems rather expensive for what it is (especially our last issue), but the bottom line is that there is a great team who is communicative, available in person - including the owner, including outside of business hours, and the issues get solved. It's kind of hard to tell up from down right now with inflation wreaking havoc, but hopefully our last experience was a one time thing and over time I find the price worth it over a longer term.
We asked for assistance with a non-working thermostat, which the technician promptly fixed without ordering a new one. Excellent service
