Peter arrived before scheduled, took his time with inspection and described what he was doing. Also scheduler and dispatcher VERY accommodating and professional.
The two gentlemen that showed up today were very professional & knowledgeable! Walked through each step with us to get our AC working again after no AC for 2 LONG days! We signed up for a yearly plan that has lots of important prevention extras that can help us in the future! Great company!
The worst experience with home repair ever. Run far away! 1. Horrible call center - overbooked, then didn't tell us. We had to call back to find out we were moved out to 5 days later! With no A/C! Also, someone said that they would waive the service fee, but we later found out they had no authority to do that. Also, another person was very rude and basically told me to deal with it. 2. Overworked dispatch - these ladies were nice, but had no idea where techs were, when they were coming, why they were multiple hours past the call window 3. WORST FOR LAST - Unethical/incompetent/ techs - the tech was there for 5 minutes and quoted $2500 for a new compressor. Later that night we got another person to come, and they replaced the capacitor for $100. Everything is now fine. This unethical, incompetence is why I never plan to use Home Depot services again.
Extremely Disappointed with the Service from [ARS/AC Company] Despite Spending Over $13k - Legal Action May Be Necessary I am writing this review with profound disappointment and increasing frustration over the service provided by [ARS/AC Company]. Despite investing over $13,000 in a new AC unit, the system has been plagued with problems since its installation two months ago. Despite my persistent efforts to resolve the issue, the company has displayed a complete lack of professionalism and urgency in addressing the problem. I have made eight calls to [ARS/AC Company], each time reporting the ongoing malfunctions and seeking resolution. In response, I have been given empty promises that a manager would promptly contact me to rectify the situation. However, I have never received a call from any manager, leaving me feeling ignored and undervalued as a paying customer. Compounding my frustration is the substantial amount of money I spent on this new AC unit. A purchase of over $13,000 should have guaranteed me a reliable and efficient system. However, the continuous problems with the unit have subjected me to discomfort, particularly during the sweltering summer months. It is disheartening to think that a company would neglect a customer who has made such a significant financial investment in their services. The lack of accountability and disregard for customer care demonstrated by [ARS/AC Company] is wholly unacceptable. By repeatedly promising a manager would contact me, only to fail to follow through, they have shown a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Their actions have left me questioning their professionalism and integrity. At this point, I feel compelled to pursue legal action to ensure my rights as a consumer are protected. It is unfortunate that it has come to this, but [ARS/AC Company] has left me with no alternative. I will be seeking legal assistance to address this matter and hold [ARS/AC Company] accountable for their poor service and neg
There is a significant disconnect between the ARS scheduling department and their dispatch. I sat in house all morning and afternoon long for a 10am to 2pm appointment and not only no one showed up but also no one called me back to reschedule. After several requests for a status update (@1:30, 2:30pm and 3:30pm), the dispatch eventually called me @4pm just to let me know that they are overbooked and requested for rescheduling. A well-run business should be able to either not overbook to begin with or if there are unforeseen delays throughout the day, notify their customers and reschedule as soon as possible (and within the allocated window) so that the customer does not have to wait for 6 hours and ruin his or her day. I have been an ARS customer for more than 15 years, but my more recent service experiences with them have left me completely unsatisfied to the point that I am considering switching to another plumbing/cooling service provider.
Technician was rude and judgmental. He gave a very poor diagnosis and his final words were best of luck to you. I will never use ARS again and have been a customer for years.
Peter is a tremendous technician. He worked on my house 6 years ago and was here today. Great job both times. We have had nothing but good experiences with ARS
ARS was called to install a new mini-split in the front bedroom. When they arrived they determined that all I needed was to increase the air flow to that room. They installed a larger duct and doubled the return grate, allowing me to return the mini-split for refund.
I was very happy with the professionalism and helpful attitude shown by Michael and Ramon who worked on resolving the issue of dripping condensation into the wall. They worked in the attic in 100+ deg temps and outside in the sun. They showed up on time and were very resourceful. I have used ARS in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
I contracted a water heater through Lowe's. ARS contacted me within 5 minutes & arrived promptly. The salesman was efficient and personable. The installers called me next day before they arrived. I was impressed with their knowledge and work ethic. Install was seamless and work was quality. I would highly recommend them.
Service Techs Albert & Richard were very professional and efficient aswell as friendly. No complaints on their service at all. Quite a different story with the scheduling. Scheduling staff is perhaps the most disorganized I've ever dealt with. When I called with AC issues, I was initially booked for next day. So I take off work to be available only to be called the next day and told that a tech wouldn't be available until 4 days later. Quite an adjustment in 105 degree heat.
Joke of a company. Called because we had a blockage in the sewer line. They have a $69 special. They get there and say because its a duplex its somehow not residential and try to charge $369 just to look. I told the dispatcher it had a unit number when I scheduled. Total bait and switch. Don’t waste your time with this company
Unreliable on their scheduling. They didn't show up or even called me that they won't show up for two days. And, then on the third try they wanted to come pretty late unannounced when I was not at home. They scheduled someone to come to my house the next day between 9 am and 1 pm and no one showed up neither I received any call. This company is just playing games. Don't waste your time. Now, I doubt their quality of work.
Troy was informative and helpful. He gave me his professional opinion and I appreciate that. He explained everything thoroughly and I feel confident with the care of my unit.
The lack of communication from the home office to the team is alarming. We were sent the ‘wrong’ team at our first meeting that told us basically everything needs to be changed out. As they were getting ready to leave, there was a lot of time spent on the phone trying to figure out why they were sent, setting up a time to send the ‘comfort’ team and mansplaining. The second team arrived late but thankfully told me that the original quote given to me by the earlier team was irrelevant and that my system was fine. Main point of contention is that our previous a/c repair man was out and had done a plaster on our unit, your team RIPPED it apart, leaving residue everywhere (did not clean it up) and when they put it back they never patched the work to the original status or apologize for the mess. We will have to get our previous guy out to REPAIR what A/R destroyed. Overall, I spent a total of three hours waiting for them, listening or waiting for the final verdict.
Gentleman came out yesterday, checked the pressure on my system and today it’s still doing the same. At the time he showed up the system was cooling properly. The system seems to stop cooling when away from the house. I have to reset the thermostat each time when I return home to get the system to begin cooking
They have a deal for a $69 main clean with camera. I called to schedule my apt because my kitchen sink was backing up, even after a different company came to clean it twice. I explained this to the scheduler and talked about the price deal I saw online. The guy showed up, told me the price online was only for the sewer line outside. To clean the kitchen sink without a camera it would be $400. He said I probably have grease caked up. I told him I had already had it cleaned 2x. And that we were vert cautious with putting grease down the sink. When I couldn’t explain the type of snake used or how deep the previous plumbers went, he made me feel less than intelligent. I asked if we could start with the main sewer line and the $69 special to see if anything was wrong there, he said no. He said had to start with sink and that we had water damage under sink. No service was performed and I asked him to leave. I called and asked to speak to a manager, explaining the situation. They said they would dispatch a manager, but I have not heard back.
Don’t recommend them. They have replaced my entire AC unit for my two story house to replace 13YO original AC which was still functional. However, the new AC went out in 3 years and I called for the repair but they have cancelled/rescheduled the appointment 5 times and took them 5 days to come while outside temp is 107degree. Plus, on the 4th day of waiting, they have never showed up and sent me an invoice saying that the AC was fixed with replaced parts. This is fraudulent and illegal! I called to check the status and no one responsible could be reached and the job was listed as complete. The call center representative said that they claim 24hour service but 24hour is only call center and the actual repair is only available during work hours and managers leave after 5pm. The QA manager that I contacted finally helped me but it still took 5 days and dozens of calls before getting to her. The labor cost $400 for 5 mins repair while the parts are under warranty. Overall, painful experience. No benefit of having them replace the AC unit when they do not prioritize the customers who spent nearly $10k for it.
Well, they installed a brand new complete Payne unit just 3 years ago. And it started having issues even last year maintaining the temperature against the thermostat set point. Today got a technician from them who found the system low on Freon. They were going to charge for the Freon saying that the parts were only warranted for a year. In my opinion, that is a rip off. Freon is supposed to be a part of sealed system, and should not just leak within 2-3 years. They said every system leaks, and has to be refilled every year. I happened to have another unit without any issues with Freon leaking over time and specially this soon. So, I would rather pay someone else to come in and charge for the Freon instead of paying them for a brand new system not properly installed.
A day after the summer solstice, in a string of +100 degree days, our AC started acting up, not cooling the house. On a rec from a friend, I called ARS Austin and they had an appointment the next day (+). A really friendly (+) tech, Peter, came out and diagnosed (+) and fixed (+) the problem very quickly (+). What was really great, when it was time to talk about "service options," he quoted me one figure and didn't try to sell me on a bunch of other stuff (+). The only snag was, I got a call that he was on his early in my appointment window, but after 2 hours, he still hadn't arrived (-). I called the office, and they tracked him down and gave me a new ETA, still within my appointment window. Overall, a very good experience!
