I love these guys! I had my AC installed through them and I only have them look at anything related to heating and cooling. They are respectful, kind, personal, ontime, and efficient. They also respond right away! My AC was only blowing hot hair in late June and with 3 cats and a ferret, that wasn't going to fly. Contacted them the day of the issue, they responded so quickly, and then they were out to take a look the next day and it was fixed!. Cannot reccomended them enough and my pets adore them! Emil and his partner were great!
Sam from MP Heating & Air was responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. At the end of a long day he took the time to diagnose and fix our AC all while explaining every step. I can’t recommend Sam and his company enough. Highly recommended!
MP heating and cooling company is God sent. They are marvelous and simply the best company in town. They go beyond the call of duty to meet your demands and needs. I am glad that I use them for my heating and cooling needs. I will always recommend them to anyone needing heating and cooling services.
Sam and his team did a fantastic job on my AC install. I told him I was ready to move forward and they were there two days later. They included two years of filters, WiFi thermostat, two years maintenance, and more. They did an incredible job on the rock/bark presentation as well. All the other bids I received (Home Depot included) said they would only install AC if I replaced my older furnace too. They explained to me how it’s a “left/right brain” and it had to be done at the same time. Sam informed me they were just trying to upsell me and it wasn’t necessary. Honesty and integrity go a long way. You won’t regret hiring them for your HVAC needs.

I called Sam on Saturday, our hottest day of the year so far because my AC decided it was a great time to die on me. Sam fit me into his busy schedule for a next day service appointment. On mothers day no less. Came out and fixed my ac SAME DAY!! blowing colder than ever. This will be my go to spot for all future heating and cooling maintenance and issues. Competent HVAC team who were very responsive to our needs over a Christmas weekend. No one else answered my calls and these guys not o my answered but spent 15 minutes on the phone helping me troubleshoot the problem. They came out to do the repair the next day. Two mo the later, the furnace shut down and I assumed the repair had been incomplete. They came out readily and made another repair without even charging me, even though it had nothing to do with their first repair. Also very nice guys with good senses of humor. Highest recommendation.
Can’t a say enough good things about this company and Samuel. Our furnace went out the 1st night it dipped into the high teens, low 20s. We were worried that no one was available till next day or 2. Samuel was here by 2 that day and not only fixed the problem, but will be coming out next week to correct whoever’s installation job it was that caused our furnace condenser drain pipe to freeze. Highly recommend MP Heating and Cooling!!! We will be sticking with them from now on for all our heating and cooling needs!
Sam came to our rescue last week! Our 40 year old oil furnace died the week of Thanksgiving. Once we decided to replace the system with a heat pump, Sam was out the next day starting the install! His team was awesome, and he chose a great system for our needs. We couldn’t be happier with the price and the service and we were very hesitant, got 2 other quotes from larger companies and just enjoyed Sam and his team’s presence and their way of doing business.
Do not hesitate to go with MP Heating and Cooling for your HVAC needs! They do an excellent job during installation and are incredibly responsive when you have follow on questions or issues—even years after initial installation. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Sam literally came to the rescue for us after a company contracted by our home warranty company failed to fix our furnace after two visits by twice misdiagnosing the issue and stretching out our frozen tundra nightmare for 23 days. When Sam went upstairs to turn on the thermostat, he shouted out that he couldn't believe how cold it was. Not only did he squeeze us into a ridiculously busy schedule in a matter of days when the previous contractor was saying they couldn't return for nearly two weeks after their second failed visit, Sam took 20 minutes tops to correctly diagnose that a clogged condensation tube was tripping off a pressure switch. He cleaned out the tubes, made sure everything was up and running -- and even played with our frozen 16-year-old dog while waiting to make sure everything was working. My house is heating up nicely right now after 3 weeks of the thermostat dipping into the high 40s! Can't recommend Sam and MP Heating and Cooling highly enough. These guys are literally super heroes of furnace repair.
Wonderful family owned company to work with. Not only are they my go-to HVAC company to use on my own home but my go-to recommendation to clients and friends. They have helped numerous of folks I know in a pinch, exceptional service from beginning to end. Highly recommend!
Sam and crew helped us replace AC and furnace which were both 26 years old original units! They helped us out in a real jam and did it while we wee out of town to boot! They have financing options but that is a third party lender and make sure you pay the correct amount in the 18 month time period and it will be interest free. Thanks so much again, we are so grateful!
After 44+ years as a real estate broker, I finally met the best HVAC company anywhere in the Portland Metro area! Sam was quick to respond and repair our A/C unit on one of the hottest days in Portland history. He came on Sunday! Completely dedicated to the kind of customer service of yesteryear, he cared about our situation and us. He was engaging and help us better understand our system. What a true Godsend! This is the company to call!
On Friday night of the current heat wave , our AC unit crashed. I figured, being the weekend, and being sure there were others besides myself in the same boat, I was in big trouble. I started making calls on Saturday morning. The more publicized dealers in town were either closed, would “call me back”, or were willing to schedule me a good 4 weeks away. I found MP Heating and Air Conditioning in a Google search, saw the excellent reviews, so I called. No answering service or receptionist, my call went directly to Sam, who after hearing my sob story told me he could squeeze me in the next day. Needless to say, I was not only thrilled, but stunned. He not only showed up at the start of the appointment window, but his expertise and professionalism were off the charts. He truly loves what he does, and it showed in his workmanship. Our AC is up and running and it’s glorious. Thanks Sam.
