Ryan Inc is by far the most professional team in the industry. Prompt, neat, responsive!! I highly recommend this group. I am now going to use Ryan to install a mini-split a/c.
I originally chose Ryan to install a new ductless mini-split system in my home because they were certified by two of the manufacturers of systems I was considering. Patrick Ryan was knowledgeable about the systems and financing options, and listened carefully to what I needed. Cost estimates from every company I spoke with were almost the same. I'm delighted with Ryan's work, and my entire experience. Everyone (and there were *many* people involved in estimating, planning, obtaining permits, scheduling, and installing) was pleasant, informative, and helpful. I was consulted and kept informed at every step. The work was neat, and a little quicker than expected. And the use and maintenance of the system was thoroughly explained.
I live in Cranford in a 97 year old house that relies on window unit air conditioners every summer. It's a pain to install/remove them every year so, after much research, I decided to hire a company to install a Ductless Mini-Split System that can be installed without having to open up the plaster & lath walls inside this old house. These "heat pumps" are primarily high-efficiency air conditioning units, but they also provide heat in winter. It turns out that the State offers a lot of incentives (like, up to $2,240 in my case!) and there's an interest-free payment plan -- all through my utility company's website (PSEG). After interviewing four PSEG-approved companies, I hired Ryan Heating/Cooling (of Union) to install the system for several reasons: Ryan's price was reasonable; their suggested placement plan for indoor & outdoor units made a lot of sense; they install Mitsubishi equipment, which is apparently one of the top 2 brands in mini-split systems; and the salesperson (Patrick Ryan, a co-owner) was amazing. I have rarely met a business person with such integrity, professionalism, reliability and demeanor. To be honest, he was 50% of the reason for choosing his company. His crew installed 1 unit outdoors and 4 units indoors (each about the shape of a 1' x 3' breadbox - kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms). They did a superb job and left me no mess to clean up each day -- during the 3 day installation (about 7 am - 3:30 pm). They even removed an old wall air conditioner, took it away, installed new drywall and did an excellent job of spackling over the seams. Their team leader communicated with me all day long, keeping me updated. The ~8 crew members were absolutely incredible ... knowledgeable, efficient, super-nice and extremely clean and respectful of working in someone's home when it's raining and muddy outside (they wore boot covers). Since I like DIY projects, I learned a lot from the crew over those 3 days; they seemed always willing to share know-how.
The Ryan team is great to work with. They are extremely knowledgeable in developing the full heating and cooling system and responsive to our needs for maintenance.
Conversion from Oil Heat to Gas Heat Combo Navien Boiler - great investment, tankless, hot water in 30 seconds and great for heating as well, great savings on the gas bill as well.
I purchased new Daiken HVAC for my condo from Ryan and had them install it. Initially had many doubts and question about my options, but with Ryan I had access to real engineer who physically came into my place to analyze the space and provided professional recommendation/advice on the type of unit I need. They were very accommodating with time and quick in getting the Job completed. Based on my interactions with other piers in my building, they all speak more favorable of the service Ryan provide compared to other competitors.
After trying numerous companies to maintain our old HVAC we discovered Ryan services. They always came in emergencies in a timely fashion and fixed our failing system in a professional manner. While they mentioned we needed a new system, they never pressured or pushed us on the issue. Whenever they came they fixed the problem at a reasonable cost. So when our system finally died we decided to call Ryan to buy a new one. The owner was very friendly and informative on the different systems and options. He answered all our questions, making our decision on a system very easy. When it came to installation, all the work was done quickly and all workers were very professional. We are very pleased with the system we chose and find Ryan very easy to work with. We highly recommend Ryan. It is a company with integrity and they will fulfil all your HVAC needs.
I've worked with Ryan Inc. for over twenty years (and two addresses) and I have always been more than pleased with their services. So it was no surprise when I contracted with them to install a Ductless Air Conditioning system in my home. They put in the time and effort on the front end to find and cite the units and the compressor. The actual installation went very smoothly - the Project Manager Sonny and his crew were great - very professional yet friendly - a perfect combination. Dishonest and out to take advantage. I had a leaky water heater which they didn't know how to fix and claimed I needed an entire new system and gas line. Another plumber was able to fix the leak in an 1 hour and has been running fine since.
Ryan Inc has a professional and knowledgeable staff. While they were in my home, I asked a lot of questions about what was being done to my heating system and why. Not once did I feel like I was bothering or being a nuisance. i would definitely recommend Ryan Inc.
I have used Ryan for over 15 years. They are incredibly professional, responsive and skilled. I purchase their silver maintenance plan which provides twice yearly regular service; this has kept my entire HVAC system working well throughout the years. When I have had equipment failures, due to age or flooding, they were quick to help and make the appropriate repairs or replacements. I highly recommend them!
Just completed Oil to Gas Conversion, after years of living in my home. I was very much afraid to do this conversion. From converting the old burner to gas and the removal of an underground oil tank, Ryan's team kept me up to date every step of the way. Manny did my install and the guys with him were incredible during the install process. They covered up my floor, took out the old furnace, brought in the new one, had heat that same day and they picked up everything as if they never came. I am so thankful for them and everyone in the office that put my worries at ease. I take care of my wife who is disabled so the budget and the service was hands down the best. I will continue to use them and I highly recommend them for there high quality service and especially to fit within my budget! Thank You
The staff is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. My prior hvac company installed the duct insulation incorrectly and only provided a 1-yr warranty. Ryan Inc. provides a 5-yr warranty and fixed the problem quickly and at a reasonable cost. I am now having them inspect why there is water underneath my furnace. I would highly recommend Ryan Inc.
Was recommended this Entity by Willdan Clean Energy who was getting a grant from the NJ State . They installed 2 lower grade air conditioners . Extremely poor service . Rude . Paid for service contract . Could not even abide by the same . Sent untrained repairmen to fix the NEW air conditioners. Charged me additional fees under the pretext that there was always a new problem!!! When asked to help correct the wrong and erroneous repair performed by his repairman , stated they don’t service our area anymore !! Charged me for a service contract for a hot water gas heater when I don’t have one except an electric Rheem When asked , they stated , it does not matter Now the 3 limit switches are not working The filters they replaced are also worn out DONOT trust this entity Money grabbers under some pretext or the other .Totallly diasappointed customer
We used Ryan to replace our steam boiler, install a chimney liner and converted us from oil to gas.The whole process was professional and efficient from the estimate to the install. Patrick is very thorough which we appreciated since we had just bought the house and we had concerns with our old system. The day of the install they had a large team come in and complete the work. They were all very professional and a pleasure to work with.
Chris their plumber with “30 years” of experience told me that a gas leak is not a big concern! I hired them at the beginning of August and work was just completed at the end of September. The girl the office says she will call back and never does, tells me that paperwork has been filed with the town that never was. The only nice part about this company is Patrick but I’m still waiting for his phone call about resolving the work that was poorly done.
20 plus years of using this family run company. Work included renovating an old system to make it work more efficiently, maintain a new building system, replace motors and thermostats and installation of new roof top units. All the while a courteous, friendly, and a responsive team. A 5 star company. They have also done electrical and plumbing work. One stop shopping for all building and home needs.
We have used Ryan Heating and Cooling for close to 30 years and for two homes so far. They have installed all my AC units along with maintaining them over this period. This along with converting my oil furnace to a high efficiency gas unit in my old home. In my new home, their crew guided me accordingly to convert to a tankless water and heating solution with great efficiency. We couldn’t happier with that upgrade. This past year- a generator for piece of mind. Totally happy with all the work they have provided over the years and have also referred them to other friends who are equally satisfied.
I'm a huge fan of the Ryan team, they've replaced or upgraded all of my mechanicals over the last 5 years including, hvac, full house water filtration & softener, reverse osmosis filter for ice maker & drinking water as well as on demand hot water system. They are an extremely reputable firm and stand behind all the work they do. Their customer service and responsiveness is excellent...I wish I could say the same for the scores of other tradesman that we use :-) I'd like to give special recognition to Allen Strauss (hvac) Crestina (office) and Chris (master plumber).
