My furnace was blowing cold air, I called Ed’s Heating & Air around 8:30 PM (well after hours) and he talked me through troubleshooting steps until the issue resolved and we had heat. He even used FaceTime so he could see my set up and provide better support. I had called other heating companies before reaching Ed’s and none of them provided phone support or assistance of any kind, some didn’t answer their phone and the house was getting cold prior to reaching Ed’s. Excellent service, experience and expertise! There are good people and exceptional businesses out there and Ed’s Heating & Air is at the top of that list.

Dec 23rd. '22 we had a heating issue in the house on a sub-zero morning and Ed came through without missing a beat by helping me troubleshoot my Bryant Heater over the phone. Why over the phone? With the crazy cold weather, he was too busy to come out in person. After I explained the model of Bryant and what I had already done to troubleshoot, without pause he easily pointed out a couple ideas that he would have tried if he could come to our house. He even asked me to call him back after my cursory troubleshooting. Sure enough. Within 5 minutes I found the blocked trap Ed described I might find. A quick call back to him and a couple more tips, I had the trap removed, cleaned and reinstalled. Tada! The furnace was working like new again. Ed could have come out and eventually charged me $200-$300 dollars for what turned out to be a relatively simple fix, but he didn't. He took the time to fix this over the phone. Serious kudos to Ed for helping on such short notice. Thank you. A Woodbury gem. He'll get my next call when the furnace acts up again.

Above and beyond! I called Ed on a Sat evening expecting to leave a message, but he not only picked up, but walked me through a pretty involved "smart thermostat" installation. He was knowledgeable with my older furnace and knew exactly how to get it up and running. I felt confident when I hit the switch to fire it back up and it's been running perfectly! I woke up on a Sunday Morning a few weeks ago and we had no heat. I called the large company that installed my furnace they said They said they had no one working on Sunday. I went on line and found Ed’s Heating. Ed was here in Woodbury and would be out within the hour. He showed up on time. He determined that my old furnace needed to be replaced. We agreed and scheduled the new installation in two days. The installation was completed and heat was restored. The installation was well done and it looked perfect, his price was reasonable. We had heat again!!!

👍🏻👍🏻LIFE SAVER! ! We had a furnace problem, the heating wasn’t working. And Ed was such a pleasure, he instructed us over the phone in process of fixing our problem. And it turned out to be a simplest task for us to handle!! Ed gave us very reasonable price estimate if he had to come to our house personally to fix the problem. He even educated us about things to do in the future to avoid like problems. And now we don’t have to freeze at night. 🔥😌 — Extra story —————————————————- I’ve called several other “Heating and Cooling” services/companies before I reach Ed. Most of them tried to rip us off: their strategy is to come to our house and do a diagnose, which will cost us about $100 ~ $225 plus repair service fees. Some were charging $195/per hour and some were lower. They all refuse to provide an estimate of their service. (Mmhmm. Nope.) Ed is WONDERFUL! 👍🏻 I would definitely go to Ed again if we ever have any other issues with our furnace. (Or anything else as long as it falls under his expertise :)

Overall the service was good but a little disappointing that we paid $100 trip charge even though we live in Woodbury which is same city as business plus $100/hr to look for problem to no avail. He did eliminate many basic possibilities, determined we had weak airflow, and gave us notice that the next items to review would be more extensive in time and cost. Thus we stopped at that point since our unit is old. It looks like another provider would have only charged us $98 for initial trip and one hour review. Ed did work quickly so I did not have a problem with the $100/hr rate. Dec 2021 Update: Called 5 different HVAC contractors and Ed was the only one who would give me a price estimate over the phone which I greatly appreciate. Even telling other contractors exactly what the issue was they refused to quote anything only stating they would give me a quote onsite. Props to Ed. Have updated my stars to 4 and will likely try him again.
