Absolutely amazing!!! My AC went out Wednesday and they accommodated my schedule and came to my house by Friday (even during a super busy time the squeezed me in). Excellent prices and super friendly. I highly recommend these guys for all your heating and cooling needs. Thank you guys so much, your service was very much appreciated!!
If you are looking for a great HVAC team, this is the one. Quentin came out same day, within a couple hours of my call. He was professional and friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and even let me look over his shoulder as he diagnosed and found a solution for my problem. Best pricing and service I could ask for. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. Thanks for being what a service company should be!
First off I would like to thank Proficient Heating and Cooling My service person was Quentin himself the service was excellent in and out in less than 15-20 minute's. He made me a priority and I can appreciate that. I called and couple hours the same day he came right over and fix the problem. I really appreciate that and the price was very very affordable I was scared I was going to have to come out of some of my mortgage money but nope he made it very reasonable for me. My air conditioner went out last night. Called Proficient at 8 am this morning and Quentin was here by 1 pm . He quickly diagnosed and repaired my air conditioner. All this was done at a great price. I am so happy I went with them. I won't hesitate to contact them again in the future. This is the company you want for all your heating and cooling needs. You will never be disappointed.
Mike was awesome! They came right out and it was fixed within two hours!! Don't go anywhere else. These guys rock!!
Very professional and customer-oriented. I have called them on a few occasions when my central air unit decided to act up. They always ensure that someone will assist me within24 hours and keep their promise. I have never had to wait for parts or materials for days. When they start a job, they finish it. Their technicians are very professional, courteous and friendly they explain everything. I have had the same tech come to my home on both occasions. I wish I remembered his name because he deserves the recognition. I can honestly say that I have used another company for years. When they could not deliver Proficient Heating & Cooling delivered both times, they have gone beyond my expectations. From this point forward Proficient Heating & Cooling is the company I will use going forward, no exceptions!
Edit: Still the best in 2022! The BEST heating and cooling company in southeast Michigan. We have used Proficient on two different residential properties, once in Redford four years ago and again at our new home in Canton for new A/Cs. Each time, professional, responsive, and beyond expectations. Quentin knows how to run a business and treat his customers with outstanding service. Installers were exceptionally friendly and respectful of our home. Give Proficient a call before any other HVAC company (especially those who advertise everywhere...) you won't be disappointed. Coming from a repeat customer, you will be too! ---------------- Original Review: This HVAC team is the best in S.E. Michigan. They are certainly proficient, but also incredibly kind and honest. We have had them over twice. Once to install a new AC in 2018, and again recently for a tune up for AC. Writing this review for the last visit which was phenomenal. Kevin, the tech who came out to tune our AC, moved around his schedule to work with mine (I work until late afternoon, and he was nice enough to come out later than anticipated). He checked our AC, which didn’t take long, but he also cleaned and tuned our heating unit! Something he didn’t even have to do, but since the AC was quick (new unit) he wanted to assist. In addition, I pointed out a gap in the intake vent and he was happy to patch it up for us (no charge). He also gave good advice to extend the life of the HVAC units. Definitely looking out for his customer and value for the dollar. No up-selling, no BS, just honest good work. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to install or service any HVAC system in the metro Detroit area.
Well Quinton was texting with me online at about 7am Friday June 3rd 2022. He told me he was in office so I could call. I did and told him that a guy came out the day before and said I needed a new A/C unit. Not only was his quote cheaper then the rest. He was going to be able to do install a week later!!! Well he called me up and asked if they could come today!!! The same day!!!! Now I’m sitting in my house with no more humidity and cool!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! You will be getting a call from us when it’s time for a new furnace and ANYTHING else for that matter!!! The hole team are very professional and very good with all my questions and so understanding they had to repeat things to me!!!

My air conditioner quit working on the hottest day of the year. I called for an appointment expecting it would take at least a week. To my surprise Nicole said there was a person in my area and they would be out ASAP. That was at 12:38 p.m. My unit was fixed and the service man Mike was gone by 3:32 p.m. This was 1 day after the holiday weekend. I was so impressed and thankful. Nicole was very nice and efficient on the phone. When Mike came by he also was very nice, professional and courteous. He was also very knowledgeable. I now have a new HVAC Company. I cannot say enough good things about Quinton who runs and owns this company. I called him at 10am and he was at my house by 11am which I know is luck based on availability. However, his expertise and professionalism would’ve been worth the wait. Most important thing to me besides getting my heat running on a 20 degree day, was his honesty and more than fair pricing! I will definitely be recommending him to all! Thanks again!!!
My heat went out a few days after closing on a house. They came out same day to try to get it running. Had to get a new furnace and they were quick to install it. Great customer service and they make the customer a priority.
We couldn't be happier! After our former heating and cooling company had no definitive answers, a co-worker highly recommended Proficient Heating and Cooling. Nicole was pleasant and helpful when I called, and Quentin arrived later that afternoon despite being busy in the frigid temps. He agreed that the furnace needed to be replaced, but he also diagnosed the issue, setting our minds ease with the replacement. The next day Quentin arrived right on time to introduce our technicians Mike and Cole. They had the job completed 2 hours earlier than expected and they were personable, professional, and very neat. Kudos to you all at Proficient. What a great thing to be able to support a local family business that clearly cares about their customers. In over 60 years we have used the services of many electricians, carpenters, plumbers, roofers, etc. Of all of them, Proficient Heating and Cooling, stands far above them all. His business can only be described in superlatives, honesty, integrity, ingenuity, perseverance, dedication, and knowledge. Where others with slick advertising and promotions have charged us $90 for a house call, only to tell us that our furnace was more than 14 years old so they could not repair it and they would have to install an entirely new system, Proficient Heating and Cooling quickly, efficiently, and expertly fixed the problem and had our furnace functioning perfectly within an hour. Thee guys are amazing. My A/C went out on a 90+ degree weekend. When I said I wanted a whole new HVAC system they actually got my A/C running until my installation date. Then they replaced my furnace and A/C in one day. They also added a humidifier and fixed several vent problems for me. All at a great, GREAT price. I highly recommend this company!
This company is Great! Quentin got back to us within the hour and sent two of his guys to fix our AC on a really hot day! Josh & Colton were awesome very professional and had us back up and running in no time. I would recommend them to anyone!!
Quentin and his team installed a new furnace and mini split air conditioning unit at my house, I couldn't be happier with the price and service that they provided! The team worked very hard and clean and were very friendly the whole time they were here. They also took the time to explain to me how the mini split units worked as that was all new to me. Proficient Heating and Cooling is a Great Company.Quentin come to my house and gave me a Honest and Fair quote compared to the big name companies. He said his guys would be here at 9:00am and they were in the driveway at 9:00am. Josh and Justin got to work and did a great job removing and installing my A/C system.
