Bigelow has been my furnace maintenance company and oil company for the past 45 years! They have always responded to emergencies promptly.The service people are terrific, as is the personal service of the owner and office staff. Can’t say enough good things about them.
Tony, the senior tech was knowledgeable, persistent and creative in fixing our 35 year old Amana furnace. The initial Bigelow tech, made an initial analysis and said, "Well, Tony will want to take a look at this". Sure enough, Tony came by a couple of days later and did some further analysis, but, of course the original part wasn't available BUT Tony found something that maybe he could fashion into a suitable replacement. He ordered it and after a few days, He came back with a small box and a BIGGER box. The smaller box had the replacement relay, don't know what the bigger box had (fortunately, because I'm sure it was much more expensive). Tony then spent couple of hours, trying to determine how to reroute the circuit logic for the furnace so it would complete the heating cycle. His persistence paid off in the end. Fortunately for me, since my wife LOVES the old furnace's performance and I was worried about my longevity if he couldn't. He also explained that the furnace was at the end of support life. So I'm going to hope that Tony is able to continue to provide his top notch service to us of making a silk purse out of a pig's ear. By the way, we have also used Bigelow for our AC needs and the techs who responded then were also as knowledgeable.

We have had the good fortune to have as an oil supplier, one of the best service oriented firms around. Bigelow Oil has been a provider to my mother for over twenty years and a provider to tenants and myself for almost as long a time. Every time I call the office, I feel as though I am a friend more than a customer who Nick immediately recognizes and welcomes me as though I was at his door greeting me to come in. As many who read this review know that the first person you speak with when calling a business can make or break a business relationship. But this goes even further into the company. When I speak with the lovely woman, Julie, who deals with billing and sometimes scheduling and customer service - I am greeted as though she is speaking to someone she is happy to hear from. (Usually those who call "billing" do not call to say - how thrilled they are with the invoices they receive, and therefore it is unlikely she who deals with those who may be confused, concerned or need clarification. Julie is refreshing, a joy to deal with and is patient with questions that may have obvious answers - that I may have overlooked. Nick, Julie is what my Armenian grandmother used to call a "diamondt". Then there is Scott, one of Bigelow's service techs who usually services our equipment. Scott is one of the few techs from the many companies we deal with who explains precisely what may require tweaking, why and how - and identifies the parts on the equipment requiring replacement. I appreciate the time and consideration he spends doing so, something I value a great deal. I tend to ask questions -"the whys and wherefores" - I want to know what I am buying and what in fact is the problem and how one will resolve it. Some tech's and customer service people "sort of" explain; some cooperate; and some make me work too hard to understand what's require and what took place. The folks at Bigelow oil have been keeping my home toasty since 1978! That's over 40 years of keeping my tank full, my oil burner in tiptop shape and showing up quickly and at odd hours if something went wrong. Customer service couldn't be better. Why would I go anywhere else?!

Bigelow provides customer service beyond comparison. Oil deliveries are always on time with the best prices around. We had immediate response to a service call and the technician was dispatched and at our home within an hour and repaired our boiler The office staff is professional, kind and courteous. We highly recommend them!!
Bigelow Oil is consistently a pleasure to do business with. They are responsive, their work is high quality, and the employees are very professional. When my furnace was acting strange right before my vacation, they made sure to have someone out to my home to check it within hours to ensure that I didn’t come home to frozen pipes. I highly recommend their services.

We have been very satisfied with the services provided by Bigelow Oil & Energy these many years. We usually pay for our heating oil at the beginning of the heating season. Bigelow delivers that oil as it is needed reliably and cheerfully. The fact that I can pick up the phone at any time if I have a concern and speak directly to the owner, Nick is very reassuring and always gets results. We highly recommend Bigelow Oil & Energy.
We have been customers for about 14 years and the quality of the service is such that we are never tempted to switch to another service provider. Once a technician came out at midnight(!) when we returned from a holiday abroad to a freezing house. All part of the annual service contract. Everyone is always pleasant and helpful as well as very knowledgeable.
It's a plesaure working with the team at Bigelow. They provide excellent customer service and solve heating problems quickly and confidently. I highly recommend this business - great service, great products and great values.
They're a great, reliable and professional business to work with. They've been so responsive and helpful when our heat has gone out! Also, they designed a work around to connect our Nest thermostats to work with our old boiler, which was great. We highly recommend Bigelow!
Just want to give a shout out to the Bigelow Energy crew. From the office to the field staff they are all top notch! Bigelow has handled all of our heating and cooling for over 17 years. We have never had any issues resulting in emergency service and I give credit to their preventive maintenance that identifies any issues before they become a problem. As a busy family, it is nice to know our climate control systems are in good hands!
Bigelow oil has consistently delivered my heating oil on time and at a fair price. Service personell are courteous, knowledgable and prompt.
I have used Bigelow oil for over 50 years with my Dad. At one point, they were servicing three multi-family properties. Their service has been outstanding. Their customer service has been even better. Bigelow works with me on everything and I would recommend them highly.
