Great service. Mr Nathan S. was very helpful, thorough and respectful on his visit to my unit on a hot July evening. No excuses, just quality care. Will go back to Schneller Knochelmann if needed.
We used Schneller Knochelmann for a full HVAC replacement at our home. John M. came out to our house and checked out our existing system and ductwork and then walked us through various options. We got quotes from various companies and John was easily the best person we worked with. He was very transparent and not pushy at all during the process. Once we decided on a system, some guys came out a few days later and got it all installed. It's been running great so far and it came with a great warranty plan in case we do have issues in the future. We would definitely recommend Schneller for HVAC work.
They never returned my called after 3 attempts on scheduling an appointment (1 online and 2x by calling). Ironically, I have used this company twice in the past with good experiences.
Great service from the tech who came out to look at our problem. Thorough and made sure we were 100% happy before he left.

Chad B. is an awesome guy! He came out for the quote. Knowledgeable, friendly and great teacher. I now have a better understanding of plumbing stuff! Although the plumbing issue had gotten worse the very next day and you all were not able to come out, I appreciate and thank you for your outstanding customer service!!!!
Had the sales guy cone out and running BOGO Furnace AC and it was not. I was not home during installation my wife was but she said the burned something I can see the burn marks on our utility room floor. There is litterly air coming out where the evaporator coil is. This system the sheet metal isn't even close to being air tight. No duct seal. They DID NOT replace the line set (we went with this deal because our old ac leaked refrigerant) what if the line set has a leak? It's to cold to turn on the AC for that long to see. We went with Knochelmann because family run business and seen the reviews. We paid over 12k for a BOGO and feel we drew the short straw. Also she said one of the guys was sick coughing all over and not covering his mouth inside our house. I see the good reviews but I guess we are one of the exceptionals. Hindsight looking back I would go with another contractor. Imagine buying a brand new car and old parts are under the hood? Be careful and make sure you do your home work. I would of taken the day off to be here if I knew all this. My wife and I are dissatisfied for the price, end product, and the non professionalism.
Called in this morning to get a quote on a new water heater. Was told they'd be out today. Called again just now, 9 hours later, to find out they scheduled me for Feb 22... They insisted on coming today over the phone even though I advised it isn't an emergency and could provide no timeframe for the visit. A bit upsetting.
Came out to our house to provide an estimate of 3000 to hydrojet our clogged output line. Didnt even look at the access pipe. Rotorooter quoted 1400 and Gardner Plumbing came out, quoted, and water jetted our line in 40 minutes for 950 one hour after requesting estimate. Took videos of our sewer pipe and showed where the tree root clogs were.We were all fixed up in an hour. I question if Scheller Knochelman is a business you can trust. I have my doubts.The Schneller rep said it would take all day and promised he was being honest and up front. May God have mercy.
We have been using Schneller Knochelmann for several years now. We pay a small monthly fee, that gives us 1 free heating & 1 free Air Conditioning maintenance per year. They are a family owned business and it shows by how they treat their customers. If we ever have a problem, question or concern, they always respond quickly and follow thru. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful family owned company. The only regret we have is we didn't start using them 30 years ago.
Came out with broken equipment, came back 2 hours later with more equipment. Could not fix it told me it would be $447 for a inspection. After 10min they told me they would call me back a few days later.. called me back and told me they couldn't do the job horrible company, bad communication, outrageous prices.
Never called back after speaking to answering service 3 days prior. Arlinghaus was here and problem fixed in less than 12 hours after initial call.
I called Schneller and Knockleman for some plumbing issues Scott and Dan came out fixed my plumbing issues and pipes They also put me in a commode and sink downstairs so I don't have to climb steps 2 to 3 times a night !They are Truly Plumbing Wizzards!!They did a Awesome job they went above and beyond They were Efficient Polite Kind and Treated me like Family! They Truly touched my Heart ❤️!I'm a Happy Satisfied Repeat Customer 😃👍♥️
Didn’t use them but charging $725/hr to plumb a gas line which involved running 3.5’ of pipe from an elbow to a T plus shutoff valve is insanity. I’m certain the plumber maybe gets 10% at best of this pay. I’ll go for a real plumber not an HVAC company since my other quotes were 1/3 the price.
Andrew* was our tech and he was really great! Paid the $99 fee for the diagnostic fee and coming out to the location, and then charged $50 for the repair (which was using a wrench to tighten a loose pipe). It was a gas line, so it was something that I didn't feel comfortable messing with as a homeowner, but I feel the $50 surcharge on top of the diagnostic fee was a bit much, given that he was here for only 20 minutes. Most companies I've worked with in the past would've allowed the tech to waive the fee for a simple fix like that. I'm glad the issue was fixed, but I most likely won't be using their services again.
Very friendly service but I thought the cost excessive for what amounted to less than an hour of work. $435 total to fix a slow-draining kitchen sink. It did take the 75' auger which is longer than what I have, but the effort didn't warrant $336 plus $99 service call fee. Just my $0.02.
They came back in June to fix my dual kitchen sink pipe from leaking. They did the repairs fast. Unfortunately, the sink pipe on the other side decided to come loose three months later. They came back out, same team, fixed the pipe and didn't charge me a second time. I really appreciated that!
Recently had a plumber come out from Schneller and Knochelmann due to a leaking garbage disposal. The tech charged me $324 to replace the flange (a $25 part at most) which took him approximately 30 min all said and done. After reaching out to get an explanation of this predatory price I was credited $99 for the service charge. If my math is correct this comes out to about $400 per hour of labor... Pick someone else unless you want to get fleeced.
This is the most professional sales & service business I have ever used! Every step of the way they were responsive, prompt, communicative, reliable, and above all courteous and friendly. The employees seem to love what they do and feel valued in their company, and that shines through in their concern for the needs of the customer. Once you engage with Schneller Knochelmann, you will receive reminders, updates, and follow-ups during every step of the process via phone, email, or text depending on your preferences. The site visit to evaluate my needs was very thorough, as was the follow-up to present the quotation. I upgraded my AC to a heat pump to reduce my heating oil costs in the winter as the price of oil rises. I was slotted in for installation very quickly, and the installation itself went fast and smooth. The installation techs (David & Tyler U.) were extremely respectful of our home and communicated with me as the homeowner in a respectful and professional manner. The quality of the installation is outstanding. I could not be more pleased with this experience! After installation, I needed help understanding how to configure the new smart thermostat. Schneller Knochelmann sent out Eric M. right away to answer my questions. Not only did he get the thermostat set up the way I wanted it, he also checked my existing air handler and made an adjustment to the blower speed to optimize it for cooling and heating. He also did a follow-up pressure check on the new heat pump and found that it needed a little bit more refrigerant to be perfectly balanced. We recently bought a home. After living in the home for a week we realized our AC was not working at all. We called several different HVAC companies for quotes on replacing the entire AC system. We ended up choosing Schneller & Knochelman mainly based on our conversations with Dylan Baine. In our opinion out of all the companies we spoke to, Dylan was the most thorough. He took his time during the inspection, looked at everything carefully, and explained what they would need to do step by step. He informed us that they could replace everything and that we would have working AC but that we would also need to increase the size of some of our ducts in order to maximize its efficiency. We really appreciated this because in several other consultations we had had with several other companies no one mentioned duct work or how we could make the air work better with just a few small changes to the ducts and at a minimal cost. Schneller & Knochelman we’re not the cheapest by far compared to several other companies we received quotes from however they offered several different payment plans/ financing options that made something very expensive more affordable for our family. We also received a 10 year warranty on parts & labor as well as a 1 year maintenance agreement as part of our deal. We felt like we made the best choice and got the best value for our money. They were very professional & friendly on install day. The technician’s names were Mike Grube & Brandon I believe. They took their time, and before they left explained everything to us in detail. They were very patient when we asked a million questions about everything (this is our 1st home purchase ever) and I really appreciated that. A few days after the system was installed we noticed a bunch of condensation on the ducts downstairs. We called Schneller & Knochelman late at night and explained to them the situation. They sent someone out the next morning (at no cost) and the technician was wonderful. His name was Jer
