After nearly a week of my landlord searching for a company to repair our central air, I made a call to Brian’s company. They responded quickly and had it fixed within an hour of my call! On top of the quick service, it cost less than they even originally quoted me. Absolutely 100000/10 and will forever use!!
I am very pleased with the quick response and professional service from Mount Vernon Heating & Cooling. Josh arrived on-time and quickly diagnosed a large leak in our system that required repair and recharging of refrigerant. He showed us where the issue was and explained what he would do to get things working properly. We are quite pleased to have our A/C up and running again. Thank you!
Easily the best service I've had. Called very last minute after my AC went out, Josh was here within the hour and took care of everything easily and professionally. Answered all my questions and was very helpful. Highly recommend this company.

Wonderful crew and family. Had my furnace replaced yesterday and they did a great job without breaking my bank or yanking me around.

They figured things out pretty quickly and fix the problem fast.
Not responsive to calls, had to reschedule 3 times, no heat in my house after he came out and looked finally after 3 rescheduled and showing up 6hrs later than time scheduled said he would be back with parts another day and to contact him, been trying to contact for 4 days and I can't even get a response from his cell or business Review is based on my tries to contact and keep in touch, I do not feel the compassion I showed for the constant rescheduling was worth having to go without heat in my home with a child, my situation was explained to before coming out and when there we did speak on things getting put to code and done safely, my poor review is due to the attempts to contact for 4 days and never hearing back and Temps getting below freezing and as I said, child in home. I did wat was asked and got things up to date wen he asked me to do so before he came back out and when I tried to contact him I could not get ahold of them at all and never got a call back on messages left to even communicate about the job I hired to have done. Angry responses about poor reviews is also not good to have in a business, as I said my review is based on the lack of contacting and keeping me updated and communicating more on the project of converting.
This place was absolutely wonderful! They came and fixed my old furnace that I thought was a goner. I didn’t have to wait on a super long waiting list like most places I called. The pricing was very affordable and they were all super friendly. I highly recommend and I cannot thank them enough for all the hard work they did!

I called them to do my annual maintenance on my furnace. I want to be prepared for winter with my old furnace. They arrived a early for the appointment which I just loved! Earlier is always better! I hate waiting on someone. Really good, efficient, friendly, trustworthy people! Reasonable price which I really appreciated. I definitely will be using their service in the future! I am so impressed. They just made my day!
Marissa and here dad Brian did a remarkable job getting the AC running they were very fast and efficient and prompt and offered a great rate will definitely be using that company again.

They were great! We needed a new ac unit and they had it installed fast and they were very professional.
Giving up weekends to help others in a time of need is a tough sacrifice that most self-employed contractors will not do. That is not the case for Brian with Mount Vernon Heating and Air. I called him late Saturday afternoon with a blown capacitor and he was here Sunday morning to change it out for me. He answered on the first call, was in and out in under 15 minutes, and charged me normal time instead of weekend rates! Thanks Brian, for your help, and I will be reaching out to you again for future endeavors.
THE BEST IN TOWN! This company is HANDS DOWN the best in the Cedar Rapids area (or anywhere!). I had a competitor Master Pumbing, Heating, and Cooling out the day before who told me I needed an entire new system, my fan was shot, capacitor toast, everything was supposedly bad. They charged me $250 and claimed the unit was working, but it was immediately clear that it was not. They tried so hard to FORCE the upsell (they are sales people at the other - not honest people). I did not let Mount Vernon know this - just wanted their opinion. They were in and out of the house in 30 minutes, cooling is working great, says the unit has plenty of life left. Guess what the problem was....the guys from Master Plumbing hooked up the wiring wrong during their supposed "repair"! How is that possible? MOUNT VERNON IS HONEST - the other guys are a scam! I'm in MN and this is a rental property so easy to take advantage with me so far away - this is the most honest guy in town - do not waste your time with anyone else. A++ THE BEST IN TOWN!
I called several companies on a Saturday during a heat wave when our AC stopped working. Brian called me back and arrived at my house within 20 minutes and had the AC fixed and running in no time. On top of that, he charged us regular rate. He has definitely earned our business going forward and all I can say is Thank you Brian. This is the way business should be done!!!!!!!
