Mack was my technician and was very professional and very knowledgeable and very nice would highly recommend him for any job
Hopefully I am leaving the review in the right spot since the technician told me of the merger with Precision Today. I scheduled an annual A/C unit tune-up and was satisfied with the experience. My technician was Ricardo Gomez from Precision Today and he was very professional in explaining my A/C unit and expected lifetime it has left since it is an old model. I wanted to get ideas of what it will cost to replace my A/C unit so I can start saving for potential future expenses and he provided me with free estimates and explained the process in detail should I decide to replace the unit. He definitely was very patient with me since I tend to ask a lot of questions and appreciate his exceptional customer service.
Exceptional work and exceptional customer service. Update 3 years later April 2023...something has DRASTICALLY changed with the customer service here. I had someone come out to do a clean and check on my AC. It's a carrier unit less than 5 years old that they installed. The tech first calls me out to take a look saying...YOU'VE GOT A PROBLEM repeatedly! KEPT SAYING IT IN A SINGING TONE! Who does that? Then he kept going on and on about how it's so bad. Then walks me around to look at other units in my area. He extensively kept saying yours is really bad due to salt. He says, I am honest. I replied, folks who are honest doesn't say they're honest. Then says, I am a Jesus man, I am honest. I replied, genuinely honest folks don't talk like that. My AC has been working fine. If something goes awry and Dykstra doesn't honor my warranty, I will sue! This tech was the slimiest I've ever encountered with Dykstra. No way could a fairly new unit go from being fine to needing a new one witin one year. Especially, when it was covered and we barely had any snow. He said, I am recommending a replacement. I had another AC unit in the same spot for 17 years that ran before it had to be replaced. So how does a brand new CARRIER UNIT only last four? PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT I HAVE IT CHECKED ANNUALLY BY DYKSTRA AND THE ONLY THING THEY SAID LAST YEAR WAS COVER THE TOP. Lastly, he took pics of other units in my area without having ANY IDEA how long those units were there saying...they're all bad but yours is worse. SMH. And even if I get a new unit, wouldn't the same thing happen if the damage is due to salt? When I challenged him about what he was telling me, he go nasty and indignant which is a sure sign of a shady person.
NEVER use this company. They installeda brand new AC unit in my condo in 2019. I purchased the condo in 2021 and it wasn't working. They told me I had freon leaks and needed a new compressor. When they came to install the compressor they couldn't remove the unit, so the owner told them to saw the unit in half and sell me a whole new unit. That sounded ridiculous to me and I told the owner no way. Fast forward to this spring; I called an in dependent contractor out, and all I needed was sealant for the leaks, a d there was absolutely nothing wrong with the compressor. SHAME ON YOU DYKSTRA. You lied to me every time I spoke to you and tried to sell me a new air conditioning unit I didn't need. How do you sleep at night knowing how you're scamming people?
Was having issues at the end of last year with the A/C. Our 130lb Malamute was not happy about that! Should have called then. So with summer approaching we called Dykstra! Our family has used this company for the 29 years we’ve lived in Midlothian. That should say enough. But we just had to comment on yesterday’s service tech Todd! He did a thorough inspection locating the issue immediately. Explained why our unit was acting up at the end of last summer. Went through the details of the repair. Checked for warranties, which gave us options. Can’t say enough about Todd. Great personality, professionalism, politeness! We want to thank Todd and Kalluk says thank you too!
I've dealt with this company in the past and present. Got both brand new furnace and AC unit..Just recently got my ac maintenance by Todd who is very professional and awesome. Had him in the past as well.I highly recommend this company and most importantly the tech named Todd.Good job buddy and thanks for all your input
Came out bent over to my furnace made some grunting noises about how old and terrible it was and then said I need a new furnace well we know how much that probably cost. That's real cute. So I went out and bought a $12 apart from Home Depot and my furnace works I'm sure glad I didn't get bamboozled by the Crooked heating company
Called for normal maintenance. We never had a problems with our boiler. Now our boiler is flooding our basement! I don't know what Dykstra did but they created a problem. WISH WE NEVER CALLED DYKSTRA. Update 12/12/2022 you have not attempted to reach out I have evidence s.
Shawn was outstanding...efficient and great at his job... very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease....use Dykstra when you are need they will come through... always
Tried to sell me a new furnace. Called for a second opinion. I needed a hundred dollar switch repaired and not a new furnace. In addition to trying to scam me they scheduled a surprise follow up visit. Stay away from this company.
Very rude customer service rep Diane when I called to report no heat. She didn’t care and told me there were others with no heat too… instead of reassuring me someone would return my call in a reasonable time. It took 2 days for a response with below 0 temperatures and they only returned my call after I reported them to Carrier. Jennifer, manager was good to work with after she found out about my negative experience. Carrier corporation would rather “replace” every part than provide a new unit as indicated under warranty. After they replaced EVERY part they finally replaced the unit which took over 2 weeks of no heat on and off. Missed my vacation and several days of work. Pendant no to see what happens next….. They installed a Carrier furnace 1 year ago and will not return my calls to repair the unit under warranty. They were told the problem and the part is on backorder - a known problem with this unit. Warranty states they MUST replace the unit if the part is not available in 3 days. I reported them to CARRIER..... I am elderly, disabled and no heat for 2 days and this was reported to them and they don't care !!!!!
We just had Dykstra Home Services out to bid on the replacement of our 30+ year old heater and AC compressor (goodbye faithful old friends). Zack gave a very thorough bid and was patient while I talked through many details and asked questions. After reviewing the other 3 bids I had received, I chose Dykstra for their honesty, professionalism and skills (pricing was great too). Ray and Victor showed up within two days and were among the best techs I have ever worked with (these guys should make the honor board or something). Both were super professional, down to earth and extremely talented. They refused to let me buy them lunch and insisted on working through the day to complete our major project. After reviewing their work, I would hire these two on the spot in my old job (I worked with HVAC techs daily). I cannot emphasize enough on how happy I am with Dykstra and its employees. A must for any HVAC projects you may have. Great job and 5 stars!!!
Todd was great from the moment he walked in the door. He is very friendly and his customer service was excellent.
I’ve had the pleasure of having Assim as our tech. He was very professional and very experienced. Assim answered all my questions and his work was clean and respectful in my home. If and when I need a tech to come out, I will always ask for Assim.
I DO NOT recommend this company. It is currently 57° in my house. I had a new furnace installed on December 10. This is the SECOND time the heat has failed. I am waiting for them to come fix it today. Terrible service.
Todd was extremely nice and solved our issues. He was respectful and kind and went above and beyond to help. Would recommend him again
Steve C came out and took the time to diagnose the issue(s) to get my boiler furnace up and running. I am especially grateful he was able to help due to bad winter storm and below zero temps coming in a few days. Mikki took my call as I explained that I had three nights of 60 and below temps in my home and that I needed someone to come out NOW. She was able to meet that request and got someone out right away. Excellent customer experience all the way around. Thank you.
I used Dykstra, and KC does the best job. He was super professional, and explained everything thoroughly so I knew what needed to be done and why. The service was impeccable and I truly found an HVAC service I will continue to use and refer business to. Thank you Dykstra and KC for the wonderful service, I genuinely appreciate it.
KC was there not wasting time diagnosed why the ac wasn't working, Happened he had the part on his truck, got us up and running in no time, cleaned up everything and left us happy with the service. Thank you
