I have used George H Burns for the past 25 years. The previous homeowner had both heater and A/C installed by them. Highly recommend, and they do honor the warranties.
I was having a problem with my A/C and called George H. Burns. I placed my call around 11 a.m. and they were there within a couple of hours to service my A/C. They fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. From the initial phone call to the service techs, everything was great.
Will not use this company ever again, I have a heat pump and air conditioning system installed by them last year 2022, had problems from the beginning , installer not willing to up in attic, heat airexchang not working in winter. Beware of GH Burns after ownership change
Scheduled an appointment with this company. They never showed up and was informed that the appointment was made but never put on the schedule (what does that even mean???) Don't waste your time. I missed an entire day of work waiting for someone to show up. Received no notification that they wouldn't be coming. After calling the only solution was to miss another day in hopes they would actually do their job. Horrible company, tell your friends.
I have been using them for many years and they have very fair prices. They installed my heater and AC. They offer and honor extended warranties without a hassle.
Driving on Lancaster Ave in rush hour traffic (1/12 7:30ish) light rain the driver of this van Accelerated and cut me off from the right lane. I had to slow down and stop from being hit. I could see him make two more aggressive Lane changes
I am very happy with this service. I have the maintenance plan an it is well worth it as I get regular maintenance on my heater and AC every year. Employees are friendly and professional.
The technician was very nice and respectful and the fee for preventing srvc on my unit was very reasonable
I was desperate. I had no heat during the winter's coldest days. They did not take advantage of me. They gave me a fair price and did a professional, workmanlike, good job in one day. The technicians even saved my mentally disabled cat when he fell into the cellar. They went above and beyond and are a cat hero as well!

Just wanted to give a shout out to George H. Burns Heating and air conditioning company. Our AC died last night and they came and fixed it this morning!! We have used them for years at our house and my parents’ home for both heating and AC and we’ve always been pleased with the quality, promptness and professionalism.... and a reasonable price! Not only did GHB replace my AC system at a reasonable cost, but the technicians were great and very professional. Mike not only installed my unit but also fixed some of my electrical problems at no extra cost. He went above and beyond. Highly recommended!!!
Geo. Burns replaced heater and air conditioner earlier this year. The guys were meticulous and did a great job. I'm so pleased with everything.
Not a big fan. They don't know what the Nest thermostat is - and blamed everything on it (despite the problem being not even related to it). If you're looking to do something related to building an efficient up to date system - I'd look elsewhere.

We solicited Burns for a bid to replace our aging furnace and whole house air conditioner in 2006. Due to the age of house (built in 1923), we accepted their recommendation to construct a return air system to help the HVAC system work more efficiently. We were satisfied with the cost of the system, the quality of their work, and attentiveness to customer service. We later retained them to maintain the HVAC system twice a year (cooling in the spring and heating in the fall). We've been very satisfied with their work, and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a competent HVAC contractor in the Wilmington area.
I called about warranty service on an American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning unit they installed. They were supposed to get back to me after checking on my coverage and prices (after a 3 day wait) and did not. I do not believe the warranty was worth the paper it was written on and I'm sure it was a total waste of my money. I will not ever use George H. Burns' services again (Just like another reviewer noted, they got off the phone after I mentioned my warranty with promises to call but did not call back). They hooked me up quickly after my furnace went out one cold New Year's eve. I bought one of their most expensive furnaces and a 12 year warranty. In the end, when I needed warranty service, they let me down big time.
