I don't usually take the time to write online reviews, but Brien and his team at Carroll Mechanical Services certainly deserve a special mention. Our townhome needed a new AC unit. While researching replacement options and costs, I ended up speaking with 5 different local companies. I kept getting mixed information - lots of upselling and misleading statements on what would work for our home. All in all, it was a frustrating process. Of all the people I spoke to, Brien - by far - gave me the most peace of mind. Not only did he top everyone in terms of price, but he was very knowledgeable, and his attentiveness and customer service were second-to-none. I had a lot of questions because of the changes in industry standards (Jan. 2023), and he went above and beyond in answering them - even calling me at one point with a Carrier rep on the line to go over the details of the changes and units. He was true to his word - an aptly described "handshake" businessman - and just the fact that I was able to talk to the owner (rather than less-knowledgable employees at other places) was refreshing. I'd highly recommend his services over the bigger outfits in the Longmont area.

I wanted to be sure to leave a review because I’m very happy with the work and equipment I received by CMS. I had Dominic come out to look at my furnace that wasn’t working . We tried a few parts to try to keep my furnace working but it was over 20+ years old and needed to get replaced. Aj came over and gave me and my wife a fair quote and we scheduled install of our new Carrier furnace. Dario was the tech who came to install our furnace. I needed him to come a little early because I was recently in a car accident and needed to go to my doctor. He came early was very respectful and installed my equipment in no time. He cleaned up the area where the old furnace was and the new furnace was installed wonderfully and is currently warming my home in the cold weather we have been having . The front end was very responsive and helpful at getting my furnace checked out and they didn’t give me the run around as I’ve had with other companies . Nikki and Janis were amazing and worked with my busy schedule . They were one of the best company’s I’ve ever worked with and wanted to leave this review In hopes that helps you if your looking to have someone to come out and resolve your heating or cooling issue . Great company with skilled workers. I had to move an AC unit at my house and had several companies out to quote the job. Carroll was the only company not trying to quote a brand new furnace. Had a couple companies say moving the unit wasn’t possible. Would refer to anyone.
They were all very professional honest and affordable Fred the technician and both gentlemen he brought were great! They even cleaned up and hauled away all the unneeded equipment. Not to mention Janis and Nicole in the office are very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with and Brian the owner explained everything and made us very comfortable with the services they were providing!!! We will definitely be using them again for all our future needs!
Our heater went out today and the cold was coming tonight. Chris came out in 2 hours from my call and found out we needed a part. Nikki then called and said the owner Ben could go get the part in Denver and have it put in by 5:00pm. Then Fred came and put the part in and even cleaned out the water line. They all cared about us and having heat tonight. They went the extra mile for us. Thanks everyone at CMS. Cherilyn Ashley
I just tried Carroll Mechanical for the 1st time and had a great experience. I am a property manager and have recently seen some HVAC companies being misleading and trying to rip people off. It was a very refreshing change of pace to work with Carroll mechanical.
These guys installed a new furnace and AC in my place three years ago. It was a good experience and what I think is a fair price. What really sets then apart is the service. We just had our board go bad in the AC and it feels like they worked day and night to get us up and running again. Critical for a 100 degree week in June. Seriously-- people at my house 30 minutes after calling. Amazing service.
Friendly prompt and knowledgeable service! Repaired our pilot light quickly and at a reasonable price.
They did a great job doing a temporary repair on my old furnace and then gave me great quotes on new equipment. I will be having them install the new furnace soon
Our heater kept overheating and they called me right back and came out the same day. Dominic was very nice and professional and did a great job. He even called back several hours later (on a Sunday!) to make sure it was still working.
I couldn't have ask for a better experience, my technician Fred was: prompt, curtious, professional, thorough, answered all my questions, great value. I highly recommend this company :)
After some initial issues with the service performed and cost overrun, CMS stepped up immediately and fixed the issues... highly recommended!
Our 2 story house has had issues with HVAC since we bought it 28 years ago. I’ve had several companies look at it and spent money on it and nothing changed. I heard about Carroll Mechanical Systems and i called Brien. He came to the house and had solutions for us to consider. Problem solved!!! We will tell everyone we know about this awesome company!!
We have been customers of Carroll Mechanical Services for many years and should have written this review long ago. This is a rare group of service providers who not only do top notch work on furnaces, water heaters etc., but sincerely care about their customers. During a recent health emergency our furnace stopped working and the whole team rallied in one day to get a part and come back after hours to get our home warm and toasty. Brian, the owner, should be proud of the culture he’s created and the old school personal service he’s offering. Big thank yous to Janice, Nicki, Chris and Andy. You will not find another service provider with as much expertise and heart as this group. CMS are our heroes!!

Excellent service provided by Carroll. We've tried previously several different local vendors with limited success. Carroll is prompt, knowledgeable, able to work with insurers, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. We now trust them with all our heating/cooling repairs and/or installations.
I was lucky to find CMS. Thanks to all the reviewers that alerted me to them. I have a high tech boiler that other outfits would not work on without the caveat that the money I would spend would be good after bad. They usually wanted to sell me a new one for $$$$$. Andy Mount arrived to save the day. After a brief diagnosis he set about testing the many internal and external components with the confidence only someone with 35+ years of varied experience could. After an instructive and entertaining hour or so the boiler was purring and roaring and the DHW and heating systems were up and running. Since it was summer, I inquired about some AC tips and in a matter of minutes had multiple tips to follow up on that has allowed sleeping upstairs for the first time since we moved in 5 or so years ago.
