KJT removed an aging Furnace & A/C and installed a new dual-fuel Furnace & Heat pump system (re-used my humidifier). They removed old infrastructure and used all new, properly sized supply and return paths, and routed existing pipes, wires, etc to create a more compact install than the original. As soon as they walked in the door, they protected all exposed hardwood and carpet flooring and made sure to completely remove all old materials, packing, etc. Daisha was there for 2 days working alongside Ken as a great asset to Ken's team, executing all phases of the install, answering questions, and cleaning up at the end of the day. I rec'd quotes from other larger companies in town. Their young "Sales Advisors" knew how to auto-generate a proposal, but didn't really seem to understand the whole picture. And it would have been different techs doing an install later. With KJT it was personalized; Ken visited to see my home, made a proposal, visited again to answer all questions and refine the final plan, and then led the install process a week or 2 later. Overall, I received very personalized and professional service, and the experience from 1st phone call to installation completion was top-notch.
Excellent install and service. KJT Mechanical helped us with finding and install of new more efficient heat pump/ furnace system. New system needed some tweaks to deal with the wacky -11 to 50 temp swings we experienced. Ann got us scheduled between our work at home and pick up kids times. And the gentlemen who came out to install and tweak were efficient, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you.
The inducer motor in our furnace died and Ann was very helpful in scheduling Austin to come out the same day to diagnose and repair the furnace. Austin was great and even came back the following day to replace another part. He stayed late to ensure the work was complete and made sure to explain everything.
I've already left them a glowing review, but want to leave a second one. Karl and his team (Ann) continue to be amazing. Karl spoke with me extensively this week about potential issues a duct cleaning company created on the new furnace Karl installed in March and gave me some valuable advice. Thank you so much!
Our air conditioning unit failed when temperatures were to exceed triple digits. While awaiting our scheduled appointment, Karl thought it best to prioritize our AC units service due to my being disabled and on oxygen. In spite of being understaffed, he took the time to make the service call himself. He arrived and quoted the cost to repair the unit. He had the AC unit functioning in little time well under the quoted cost. We have and will continue to request, KJ Thomas Mechanical, to provide solution to all of our properties heating / cooling preventive maintenance, failure analysis and upgrades.
After deciding to replace our 21 year old furnace and air conditioning, we had several companies give us an esimate to do the job. KJ Thomas Mechanical serviced the same brand "TRANE" we already had with fewer changes required with higher efficiency and larger capacity and at a great price. Karl (the company owner) and Carlos his highly competent and able assistant, worked quickly through the first day and had the new furnace, air Conditioning unit and compressor, thermostat and duct work changes all connected and ready for testing on the second day. Everything worked perfectly after charging and testing the new system. Karl and Carlos were amazing by answereing every question asked and especially when it came time to use the new thermostat. I would recommend KJ Thomas Mechanical asn Carlos for any HVAC work which might be required.
Brad was able to fix my heat pump's air handler successfully for far less than others quoted. No new system or expensive parts needed. Brad was personable and took time to explain what he fixed to make it work again. Thanks Brad at KJ Thomas!

The technician; Brad, called so I knew the arrival time. He examined the entire system, explained everything in an easy to understand manner and repaired the furnace quickly and efficiently. Excellent service, highly recommend KJ Thomas Mechanical.
Our boiler stopped working altogether, during a cold spell no less. Anne was great...she was very sympathetic and scheduled their senior boiler tech, Brad, to come out asap and diagnose the problem. Seems there were some wires and an electrical relay that were "fried". He got us up and running just in time before a big snowstorm and another sub-zero cold front hit. Brad was totally respectful, knowledgeable, and professional. (Also, as 2 seniors, we appreciated that he was fully vaccinated and wore a KN95 mask while working in our house.) Highly recommended ...Thanks both to Anne, in the office, and Brad, the boiler tech! We will definitely use them again, and refer our neighbors as well. Five stars! *****

Brad is extremely knowledgeable and professional. We recently moved into our home, and he methodically educated us on the different systems of our home, how they work, what to do in an emergency, etc. There is no one better than Brad and KJ Thomas Mechanical.

Our service provider spent extra time to make sure everything was working correctly, and even found a filter that no one else had ever cleaned before! He not only found it, but cleaned it and made sure to add it to our report for future providers. He was very friendly, professional, and thorough. We appreciate it!
KJ Thomas Mechanical's maintenance plan is what any homeowner would want for their HVAC system upkeep (and safety) - timely and dependable - a service you can trust. Ryan, the maintenance staff who did this Spring's (A/C) service, and Brad who did the Fall service (heating) were courteous, knowledgable, and communicated well (note: I teach professional communication skills in corporate and medical settings). HVAC maintenance may seem a simply matter, yet after working with others with different standards on a series of house projects, KJ Thomas provides consistently solid service and timely and courteous communication.

Karl came by to provide an estimate on a secondary heating and cooling unit and we discussed several options. He was open, honest, and knowledgeable. We actually ended up deciding on another approach that didn’t involve his services at this time but I will definitely be looking to use KJ Thomas Mechanical in the future!
