Communication and responsiveness has been absolutely terrible. I had a $21,000 HVAC system installed 6 months ago, the thermostat died, and I've received no communication from Poudre Valley Air. I have been the one having to keep on top of everything. The service manager I spoke to on my first call was extremely confrontational and rude as if I was being completely unreasonable checking on the availability of the part that was needed. They seemed very eager to take my money for the new system, however the service after the sale has been sorely lacking. I will certainly keep this in mind when it comes time to replace the HVAC system on the south side of my house.

I just replaced my 21 year old Trane heat pump and 45 year old General Electric air handler. I had PVA install a new, more efficient Trane heat pump and matching air handler. Caleb and Damian did a super job with the install. It was pretty much a direct replacement, but they were still here all day to make sure they got everything right. They were always double-checking each other. They had to come back the next day after the electrician came and did the high voltage hookup. Caleb and Damian did the start-up of the new system and everything worked as it should. They were very courteous and helpful and answered all my questions. Hopefully I will get 20 years out of this new Trane system. I highly recommend Poudre Valley Air.

When our 33 year old furnace failed, PVAIR evaluated the repair/replace alternatives, and recommended replacement. They listened to our needs, recommended a particular unit, scheduled and completed the install quickly. Looks great, runs great. and received compliments from the county inspector.

We had a great experience with Poudre Valley Air again. They installed our AC four years ago and when our old water heater died the other day, Rock came out to give us an estimate. I also asked him about our ancient furnace that we’ve been worried about. He gave us quotes immediately and answered all our questions, got us on the schedule the next day, and Nathan and Seth came out, arrived on time, and were professional and efficient. By the end of the day we had both a new water heater and furnace thanks to their hard work. They know what they are doing and they are all super nice and helpful.

Original review: Amazing, professional, on time, and even covered ceiling repairs that had to be opened to install the A/C. This company kept us informed about everything and never changed the quote of the cost. There is a great credit card they offer for home improvements with zero percent interest. Drove 40 miles to install. Came out for installation within a week of calling for service. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Also, very cleanly and asked before they did anything that they thought would mess with the aesthetic of out home. Thank You Poudre Valley air!!! 5 months after installing air conditioning in our home. Poudre technicians found that during air conditioning install the duct work was not installed properly. Poudre charged us for install of a new motor on a 2017 furnace which was 500 dollars. Before that, they charged us for a switch and diagnosis which was 285 dollars. The owner did not stand by his technicians opinion and blamed our furnace which was luckily still under warranty. Included below is an email I sent that Poudre never responded to. Email letter I sent to Carrie in Billing: Hello, I want to mention we tried disputing the bill. The furnace (2017 furnace) went out because of errors done in the duct work from install of air conditioning This was found in the evaluation by one of your technicians. Your boss called my husband back after a week of waiting plus calling your company approximately three times to speak with him. Your boss refused to stand by the technicians findings that were written down during evaluation (I can provide this to you if needed but it doesn’t seem to matter to your boss). The reason I was not paying the bill was because I thought this was bad customer service for not standing by your technician and also telling my husband, “he (the tech) misspoke and has since been corrected”. I will pay this bill but will not be doing business with Poudre ever again. I plan on telling everyone I meet interested i

I was driving down Lemay and their driver was tailgating the car next to me. The driver moved over and started tailgating me. He was inches from my bumper. I called and talked to Shelly, and he talked to the driver. The driver provided a different story all together. I respect they want to believe their employees but if I am going to spend my time calling to say your driver was aggressive, then it was an issue.

The furnace they installed is great, the price was great. I have used this company before and always been well pleased but was extremely displeased with our experience this time. The installer failed to connect the gas hose to the heater, resulting in venting gas straight into the house which was not discovered until the tenants returned several hours later to find house and yard filled with gas. As it was after hours we called for their 24/7 emergency service and were told that no one was available until the following morning. We had to put in an emergency call to Xcel Energy to come out at midnight and shut off the gas and diagnose the problem; the Xcel man was furious and said the house could have blown up. The following morning we called PVA to repair the problem, and I specified clearly that they were to contact me when they were on their way so that I, as the house owner, could be there. They did not do so, instead they arrived without warning to me or the tenants, fixed it and left without contacting me. I also asked a manager to call me to discuss the problem, and no one ever did.

The 330% markup on parts was what finally put me over the top. Insult injury the part they supplied was the wrong part and they wouldn't take it back and refund my money. The field guys are pretty nice but not very skilled with analog systems. The management is rude arrogant and condescending. I'd rather get a root canal than use these guys again. Probably be cheaper too.

Very professional! The sales person Andy was very knowledgeable and attentive towards special needs. I am very impressed with the service I received. The professional installation team, Nathan and Chris took extreme care in leaving my home In better condition than it was. Couldn’t tell they were even here. Highly recommend!

Angry inconsiderate poudre valley air contractor with a big beard- aggressively following our family on hwy 34 today an inch from our bumper. When we graciously pulled over to let him go by, he turned his head swearing and glaring and sped by. Not a good representation of the company by any means.

Very happy with their communication skills, expertise and professionalism. Andy problem solved my issue and quickly provided an itemized estimate. He then effectively communicated the scope of work to Corey, who later performed the installation exactly to specifications. Mad Respect, Poudre Valley Air!

Waiting on clearance from city inspection. Installed 7/28/22. Several different installation problems. Very disappointed in my salesman who didn’t cover warranty/inspections/service contract. I found out all this after installation.

In need of an AC system, we called Poudre Valley Air for a quote. A very nice person came out and explained what we'd need and that we'd be billed $90 for his time, which would be credited back if we went with their service. The thing is for that service, I'd expect an actual quote. We didn't get that. Nothing about options. Just a statement of work to be done. No options for systems, nothing about the choices in SEER ratings. Nothing. Just here's what we'll take your money for. Which would be fine, I guess, but we ended up getting another potential customer's emailed quote. And I mean, it was an actual breakdown of three options complete with cost breakdown, SEER ratings, and on professional letterhead. Thinking we'd get that, too, I waited. Nothing. So I reached out to the person who emailed us the wrong quote and the response was "Call Carrie and get it straightened out." Now, why should it be that customers should be treated differently for the same kind of service. It wasn't very professional at all. When I reached out to PVA about paying the $90 house call fee, I made it clear that agreement was -- my assumption -- contingent upon them doing the actual work of supplying a quote. Crickets. So, yea, we went with Northern Colorado Air and had a great experience, happily paying $5,000 for a system that is working very, very well, and happily, the crew who did the work was clean, respectful and just super easy to work with.

The technicians, Nathan and Seth were absolutely the best! They replaced my 25 year old AC system with a new one. They we’re friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I had other cheaper estimates for doing this work, but I chose Poudre Valley Air because they’ve been here for a long time and I wanted it done right. So glad I chose them. They rock!

My AC was having a hard time blowing cold air. We had Dominik come out to our house and he was amazing! Walked me through the whole process of what was wrong. He so nice and helpful. Highly recommend him! Because of him I can not sit in my house and enjoy the cold air!

My mom had a new heater and ac unit installed in 2017. The blower motor went out and even though it covered until warranty it still cost my mom $500 dollars to get them out there and fix it. I guess no company really stands behind what they sell unless you have more money. This also gives companies incentives to install equipment that will not last long. Was told by company you didnt purchase the extra and extra warranty.

I truly feel blessed to have had such an awesome crew that completed the first part of our AC/Furnace installation. Caleb, Trey, Seth, Nathan, and Dustin were amazing. They were professional and did a great job working in a really tight attic space and snug living area. There’s a little work left to be done, a couple touch ups here and there as this was an odd retrofit but nothing I’m concerned about. I am so grateful that they stayed until the AC was totally hooked up, even though it meant a 14 hr day for them. I was also really surprised and grateful for how clean they worked. I’ve had other company crews out to the house before and had to spend most of the following day cleaning up. Not this time! A little bit of vacuuming here and wiping there but nothing compared to what I’ve had to do in the past with other companies. I look forward to having them out again!! And I’d highly recommend calling and asking to speak with Jaysen, the solutions specialist that came out to the house and guided us through the whole process.
