Aire Serv replaced our home furnace last February. At each step of the process, the competence, care and professionalism of each of their employees really stood out.
I'm updating this review because I've since discovered that this Aire Serv franchise closed without notice, but not without first taking my payment for an annual subscription for HVAC maintenence. Despite repeated calls/emails to Aire Serv's corporate office, I have not yet been given a response or refund; their only action has been to subscribe my email to corporate promotional communications. I'm out time and money, but you don't have to be -- don't give this company your business!
I e used Aire Serve for the last 6 years and have had relatively good experiences until 18 months ago when things began to fall apart…staff quit, they lost records, would t return calls, etc. Now, they have abruptly closed without telling their customers about it. I found out by calling their number and hearing a voice recording saying they have closed. It’s too bad because I just had to pay $1200 to another company to fix something Aire Serve installed 4 months ago for $1,800. It should be warranty work but you can’t get ahold of anyone at Aire Serve - what a bad business practice to leave their customers hanging like that.
Aire Serv of Fort Collins is no longer in business, which is very unfortunate for us. The company installed an HVAC system for us about a year ago and now the AC system no longer functions. A diagnosis reveals that the problem is a blockage, which is an installation error. Lion Home Service is taking over Aire Serv's previous customers, but they are essentially charging us the price of an entirely new system. It is highly unacceptable that customers are left with absolutely no protections in this regard.
Aire Serv was the HVAC sub-contractor on our basement remodel and they were quite incompetent. During a walk-thru inspection with our GC I noticed that they had cut off 2 HVAC lines to vents that heat our living room above the basement. I asked them why they did that and their response was "I didn't think you needed those anymore". If someone like me, who knows very little about HVAC systems, was correcting their mistakes that is unacceptable. I would use any other HVAC company in town other than these guys. They have no clue what they are doing.
Our heating system was "acting up" last season. This season it was working only intermittently. Air Serve was the 3rd company who had come to solve the problem and they were the only one who was successful. Garrett, the technician was fantastic. He had to come several times to trouble shoot the problem. I truly felt like he cared that it get fixed and persevered to get to the root cause of problem, His communication was beyond my expectations and he followed up to make sure it had been working properly before billing us. I highly recommend this company and can not say enough about Garett, his technical ability, concern for the customer, and communication. Thanks for a nice warm Christmas!
The technician came to evaluate furnace and chimeney. The gas chimney smelled like gas. He had no idea what the problem could be. For the furnace, he insisted that it should be replaced rather than fixed. I ended up replacing it with his company. They offered a two year free service of tune ups (later I learned others offer 10). When they came to install the thermostat, they took the manual and the box with the codes for the thermostat with them, I had to call them and request them. Not only that, their thermostat installation messed up the doorbell and it never worked again. Furthermore, they never came for those free tune ups, or call to schedule those or anything. Never. Stay away if you can. The furnace is working fine, although I can't really say that the 2 phases make any difference at all, the temperatures between the two floors still vary widely.
had new furnace ,air conditioner .humidifier. after a year the humidifier quit working. struggled with this for 5 years .was never right. now they say out of warranty, they don't have records of me calling they say? manager was going to call me back in a few minutes. did not happen. I had to call them. fixed the problem my self. there are better shops out there. workers are one of the best. management needs to work on people skills.
Well it started out well when we needed a new HVAC system in May. The sales rep was very nice and knowledgeable. Service was scheduled quickly and we thought all was well. When winter came around and we started using the heat instead of AC we began having condensation on vent pipes and leaking from that pile through the ceiling. Our first thought was a roofing issue and so we called the roofer first. After everything had been resealed we were still having issues with condensation on the vent pipe and in the attic space. We called Aire Serv and they came the next day. The tech walked in looked at the pipe and said it was not to code and he would not fix it. When asked how that was possible since the entire unit was just replaced he just said it was not his problem. We pushed him and said it is his problem because he installed it. He got fired up and told us he did not install it and it was not his problem again. We returned fired up ourselves with yes it is your problem and while you were not the person to install the unit your company did. He got mad and walked out flipping me off on the way. After an immediate call to the manager they were in our office the next day working on the vent pipe. After paying for more repair charges for something that should have been part of the install we assumed it was finally fixed. Next day more leaking and now it was spreading. We ended calling another company as we did not feel confident Aire Serv could help us. With in 5 minutes the tech from the new company found our issue. During the install the vent pipe and the air intake pipe had be reversed. So all of the condensation was because for months we were venting into our attic space and not outside. Scary to think of what might have gone wrong breathing in carbon dioxide for months. We emailed Aire serve to let them know of this issue and never heard a thing. No email no phone call. Nothing. I don't normally leave bad reviews but we forked out A LOT of m
I had a new Air Conditioner, Furnace and Humidifier installed by Air Serv. Deon Wilson (Sales and Service Manager)work with me from start to finish. He is a great representative for Aire Serv. He managed the sale, installation and follow up during the entire process. He was extremely helpful, fully knowledgeable about the products, responsive to my many questions and demands, passionate about the products and patient with my process of determining the best supplier for my new HVAC. After installation was completed he took his time to instruct me on how to use the system and to insure that I was satisfied. I heartily recommend Aire Serv and Deon Wilson for your HVAC needs.
I have used Aire Serv for years and can unequivocally say they are not a business that holds up to their good reputation anymore. The last two encounters with them were unbelievably unprofessional. Three weeks ago an employee entered my house without knocking to assist another technician on an install. The technician who needed assistance did tell me someone else was coming over to help but it was still very off putting to experience a stranger loudly barrel into your house. (He was shouting on his cell phone while coming in the door). The equipment installed is not working properly so I asked for someone to come look at it. They sent over their service manager named Shawn, who ended up being the same person who came to help before. This time he was disrespectful in another way, he did not have a mask on or wear protective footwear into my house - even though we are in the middle of the biggest spike in cases thus far in a global pandemic. On top of refusing to wear a mask, Shawn also did not solve the problem and said two completely contradictory reasons for why the equipment is not working. It really seemed like he had no idea what he was talking about but I just wanted him and his smelly cigarette unmasked breath out of my house so I had him leave as quickly as possible. I have called another company to come fix the issue and Aire Serv has lost a long time customer. To say I am unimpressed would be quite the understatement.
I really appreciate Aire Serv's professionalism. Always respectful of our house, by using shoe covers to keep our floors clean. Let us know when they are on their way to our home. Always easy to talk to. They answer our questions quickly and are always able to help us with a Furnace, A/C issues. I would recommend you check them out if you need service or repair!
Michael Dimas was our technician! He came out and took care of our furnace that went out when the temp was 1F. He was so kind and so friendly! He was honest and didn’t do anything that wasn’t needed! He came back again when we called! We would definitely use this company again and use request Michael because we love doing business with companies that care about their customers! Way to go Michael!
Have had Aire Serv out a couple of times for air conditioner issues and have been very impressed . . . professional and courteous - right down to the shoe coverings they put on before they came into my house! UNFORTUNATELY my A/C is on its last leg after 23 years - FORTUNATELY, they have a good selection of new units and I'm sure they will do a great job on the install.
Michael was great!! He did a great job and taught me some things along the way. He was so thorough and professional; great customer service too. I highly recommend Aire Serv to anyone seeking HVAC services.
We have had Aire Serv come out several times to inspect our A/C unit and furnace and to do a repair on our furnace and now a repair on our A/C unit. Elijah came out today and as always was very professional, thorough, and provided quality customer service. I would highly recommend Aire Serv to my friends and family when needing HVAC services. Thanks so much Elijah!
Elijah was great. We had spoke on the phone before our appointment. He walked us through disconnecting our humidifier so no damage would occur until I was able to get an appointment. At the appointment, he explained what he did and answered all of my questions! I have never been disappointed with the service I have received with Aire Serve!!
Aire Serv responded to a claim placed through my home warranty company, and even though they received it very late in the day, they called me to see if I needed them to work it in before the weekend. This "Can do" attitude carried through to the very end, and was GREATLY appreciated!!! I realize that many home warranty companies are hard to work with, and sadly, Choice Home Warranty is no exception. Still, it is clear that Aire Serv puts their customer's needs FIRST, regardless of any complications which they feel they may face.My furnace posed a small unexpected challenge to David, the repair specialist, because without any warning at all, multiple limit switches and a faulty motor had failed all at the same time. No guess work was involved, and after isolating and testing with temporary bypass methods, each individual cause was identified. The parts were quickly placed on order, and a new appointment scheduled. Now for many companies, this might be where they end the service call and leave with an apology that we would be spending the freezing winter weekend without heat, but not Aire Serv.David was not aware that while he was explaining to me how I could run the system under close observation to heat the house during an emergency condition, my mother-in-law was being diagnosed with pneumonia, and my infant and toddler were being diagnosed with respiratory infections. In addition to preparing for an emergency need with the existing furnace, David set us up with as many loaner space heaters as we thought we might need, at no extra charge, and provided us with contact information that we could use if we encountered any other needs while the repair was being approved and parts being received.Even before the parts were available, Aire Serv patiently spent time battling the home warranty company's attempts to keep from approving the claim, and did not give up until all parts of the claim were approved. Wow!The moment that the parts were available, an appointmen
We used Aire Serv of Ft. Collins 4 years ago to replace our furnace. We were very pleased with the service. They worked with us on paying for the furnace. Our air conditioner hasn't been working very good. Fearing the worse of having to replace the air conditioner we have been putting off calling. Elijah came out a very polite guy and very knowledgeable. It didn't take Elijah very long to figure out the problem. The blower motor was running to fast pushing air to fast thru the coils not allowing the air to cool properly. He slowed down the motor. Also the wrong air filter was installed restricting airflow. Elijah explained everything in detail, and how everything worked. He checked all equipment for proper operation, washed out the air conditioner. We learned a lot. Looking forward to have Elijah back in September for fall maintenance. A huge thanks to Elijah and Aire Serv for the honesty and saving us money, not trying to sell something we don't need.
Had two different opinions and prices from $900-$3000! Aire Serv came in and in about 10 minutes decided what was wrong, a weld had broken and freeon had all leaked out! He left to complete a job he was on and returned within the hour as promised! He fixed the weld and filled it with the coolent in less than an hour so the house would be cool for a very hot weekend. It cost less than$400 and he was kind and personable! He explained the issue and made a customer for life! Thanks guys! You were great!
