We've been quite pleased with Residential throughout the entire process of installing a heat pump, from estimate to installation, to walking us through the rebate process. They have been timely, transparent, and responsive, and we would recommend them wholeheartedly.

We used Residential Heating & Air Conditioning to replace our 50 year old gas furnace with a heat pump, so we can have safer & more efficient heating, and enjoy cooling in the summer as well. This company's quote was competitive, and they were very easy to work with. Their crew (Abel, Ray, Nick, Noah, Tyler) always arrived within their promised time window, they kept our place clean, and they installed everything exactly as promised, with no surprise extra costs. Though I'm no HVAC expert, the quality of their installation seems to be very good, and we had no trouble with the city permit inspection. I also appreciate that they followed through to work out some small adjustments/kinks after the installation was complete. With this unusually cold winter, we've been very happy with our system's ability to keep our (poorly insulated, old) home warm, and we're looking forward to a more comfortable summer as well!

If you are building or remodeling a new home or a HVAC system(s) and Residential Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. ("Resi") comes up in the quoting and bidding process, choose "Resi". If "Resi" are not on the quoting and bidding list, add them. If someone tells you that you could save money by going with one of their other "trusted" but unlisted resources, get multiple points of confirmation you're not being lied to (otherwise, chances are, you are). Pay now or pay later; but, one way or another, you will pay (see below). Given the chance and choice, I would strongly encourage paying NOW to work with Cathy and her "Resi" team. They'll get it right--the first time, you'll delight in working with them in the process, and they'll be there for you when and if you need them in the future for regular service and scheduled maintenance. Like anyone worth working with in construction-related trades in today's world, they are busy, but they are worth the wait. We built and completed a new home in Fall 2017 with the design and installation of other resources. The design resources were quite capable and designed and delivered specifications for an HVAC system of quasi-commercial level. However, the installation resources, unfortunately, we only learned later were not trained and certified HVAC technicians and, most certainly, were not trained and certified Mitsubishi Electric (our HVAC system brand) technicians. The general contractor had promised these experienced and well-trained and -certified installers would save us thousands and get the work done on schedule. But, even as we worked toward HVAC system commissioning and bring-up we had issues with the HVAC system that we escalated with the general contractor and the subcontractors that went unresolved. Eventually, the general contractor and subcontractors went bankrupt, closed up shop, and we were left with an ill-performing and often-broken HVAC system. Left holding the bag, we began the search for a reputable, trusted

Cathy, Patrick, Jim and team have been great. They fully supported their AC work and equipment even after a part went bad. We appreciated their attitude, knowledge, and responsiveness.

Kathy Haire runs a tight ship and they are the best HVAC company! Here's just one story: Our existing high-efficiency furnace unit broke. It was installed by another company that, (surprise!) went out of business. I read the installation manual and discovered at least 4 installation errors. So I started getting quotes to “fix” or replace the furnace. The first 4 HVAC companies that looked at the furnace failed to notice more than one of the installation errors. Kathy Haire found all 4 errors and also noted some other issues. She was also the only company to measure the airflow to the furnace (this is important). Then she sent her engineer to properly size the new replacement furnace and AC unit. The installation went very well. Since then Kathy's team has installed another furnace and AC unit, and serviced others for me. I can't recommend them highly enough!

We have previously used this business to replace an old AC compressor with fast, professional, and excellent results (Timo is a gem!). Then yesterday, during the Labor Day Weekend heat wave with temperatures in the 90’s, our old AC thermostat stopped working. We called the office just before 5pm and the owner, Cathy Haire, picked up the phone and patiently talked us through how to reboot the furnace and the thermostat. This completely solved the problem and saved the rest of our weekend. What amazing service and customer care!!! This business is outstanding!!!

Our AC thermostat stopped working on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend during the heatwave with temperatures in the 90s. I had previously used Residential Heating and Air (their technician Timo was excellent) and immediately called them. The owner Cathy Haire responded and talked us through how to successfully reboot our thermostat —which was a godsend. What truly amazing customer service! We highly recommend them as an outstanding company who do exceptional work and care about their customers.

I am updating my review after a quick and professional response from the owner, service manager, and service tech after I called to let them know about the issue. They responded with a quick evaluation, but when I tried to get a call for start date and how long it would take I could not get a call back. I gave them 2 chances all without return of phone call. Apparently, there were missed messages from the customer service rep to the service tech. The owner offered reasonable solutions to my issues and I appreciate the follow up from the owner, service manager, and service tech, but I choose to go with another company due to the delay.

Wonderful experience with Residential. We just completed a replacement of our air and heating system, on time and on budget. Since we're on a hill, the install was a bit more complicated, yet the Pro's at Residential were undeterred. They've maintained our system for years and we are so pleased now that the new system is up and running in time for winter. So much better. We'd like to give a special shout out to David, Andrew and Matt, Jessie, Nick and Noah. 2x for Noah for painting the conduit to match the house paint.

We've used Residential Heating for almost two decades now, and they are truly a cut above the rest. Here's an example: technician Hassan just left our house after our regular scheduled maintenance today. Most repair guys sort of mumble “everything’s OK” as they’re slinking out the door. Hassan’s customer communications with us have always been Way Stellar. First a top line view ("Everything looks good."), and then a bit of a window into the future ("As the systems get toward their end of life we’ll do a cost/ benefit analysis if something bigger fails in the system.") and then an actual parting note ("Well, I’m headed out, and obviously if anything happens in between our regular maintenance visits, give us a call. Have a good weekend."). Owner Cathy Haire runs a company with motivated employees with a great service attitude and a drive to both inform customers and keep them happy. Bravo!

I had a recent terrible experience with this company. My main issue is that their rep came to my home and insisted that I needed a full replacement of my system. When asked why? "He explained, " Because your system takes R-22 and that coolant was phased out in 2019" I asked if there was any left to be purchased. He stated no, I quickly fact checked that info only to find out that R-22 will be phased out 2020 and is still available and it the cost online was 17.00 to 33.00 a pound. When I showed him the information on my phone he backed up and then stated that they could get R-22 but it would cost us $80.00 a pound and it would take 4-6 hours to find the leak at $150 an hour. So I would be better off with a new system. That is at least $5000 installed. There was no mention of environmental issues at all. I was by that time Irate! I caught this rep dead to rights in at least 3 lies. I was lucky enough to find another HVAC professional who was able to locate my systems leak immediately as a loose valve cap. He recharged my system for a total price of $500.00. I am sure we will receive some response from this company to the effect of taking the high road regarding environmental issues etc. What they fail to be able to explain is the core issue. Their rep lied about R-22 phase out in 2019, and then lied about the availability and cost. Only upon being presented with alternative facts did he back peddle and change his stance to the extreme expense of repair. which was also another lie to manipulate me and make me fearful to buy a system from their sales team. So anything that is a response from this company can be expected to be at best only partially true based on the out right lies told to me at the beginning. So all these wonderful reviews.. Are you sure you needed a new system? I would recommend never working with any company who has a "sales" team and fancy trucks they need to pay for. Better go local with honest mom and pop shops.

My first encounter this company was when I had a leak in my furnace. They responded promptly and the representative was very professional and attentive. Then I went shopping around for an AC, it seems to be hard to compare between Residential and other companies that came by for the estimation. The representative (Nick) was professional, thorough and honest. The professionalism continued when they came to install the unit, with great attention to details by the crew. Later on they followed up sending their representative to assist passing the city inspection. My experience with Residential was awesome and I will definitely come back to them for all my HVAC needs!

Worked here for a number of years. Working for Residential really changed the way I had previously felt, in regards to the HVAC trade. Previous companies I worked for were terrible experiences, they were pushy, and would prioritize quantity of the jobs sold and the speed in which they can get them finished vs. The quality of the work being performed. Working here was the opposite. Quality work was first and foremost. Taking the time to install each system the way they are designed to be installed and work at peek performance. We installed equipment with a high level of craftsmanship. Prioritized the manufacturers specifications related to each unit and following the instructions. We all took pride in the work we did. Aesthetics was very important to us all. The entire team would compete against each other, to put together the best looking installation possible, something you'd see in a home improvement magazine cover. They have loyal and phenomenal men that work as a team still till today. I do the best I can with my hvac business by trying to follow after Cathy's leadership skills. I don't know how she does it, but it's harder to be the boss than it looks from the installers point of view. She's a phenomenal leader and contractor. I'm not to prideful to admit this, but I do try to mimic her style of how to run an HVAC business, but those are some big shoes to fill.

We had an electrical issue that damaged our furnace. Even during these strange times. Jim was dispatched within an hour. Very appreciative for his professionalism and commitment to customer service. The team in the office were great too. Will definitely use them to upgrade our HVAC equipment. If you have problems, call them ASAP!
