Our contractor added a door to one wall with baseboard heat and never re-hooked back up the baseboard, you can easily see this when you walk in the kitchen and was one of the first things the technician saw within 30 min of looking for the problem, he then tried to untangle a ball of wires which were not related to the issue, he said he would need to come back with two men $150/hour for 6-8 hours ($2400 dollars!) on TOP of the $411 that was charged for the 3.5 hours he spent "to identify the problem and open up a valve." Luckily my contractor came out and fixed the issue for free, it took his two men 3 hours to completely fix the issue of rewiring and fixing the baseboard. When I called to discuss the fact that it seemed a bit unfair to have to pay them $411 for "identifying the issue and opening a valve", the owner was defensive and rude. I will not be using them again, not only was their estimate way too high for the issue, but their tech taking 3.5 hours to identify an issue just seems really high.
