We're really glad that we were connected to the team at Sol Heating and Cooling. When we purchased our home, we called the number on our HVAC system and the technician from another company immediately told us that we were leaking carbon monoxide and needed a new system. I called Dave for a second opinion, and he spent over an hour explaining how my system works, that the other company had flat out lied to me, that there was no carbon monoxide leak, and further explained what the real issues with our system were.

It's very important to have contractors that you trust, and we have that with Sol. It's not a different technician every time, Dave and his partner know our family, our concerns, and our home's system, and we're glad that we are working with them.

Dave and SOL team are top notch. It started off with the initial estimate. The cost for my HVAC unit to be repaired could not be matched. I was able to get him to even match another company's 10 yrs labor warranty for less. They installed it in half a half a day and that was even with him answering service calls along the way. He handled each of those service calls like he was in the office. Very professional and promised call backs when he had more free time later in the day. I will be recommending SOL Heating and Cooling to others going forward.

I contacted 5 local HVAC companies, 3 big companies and 2 smaller companies, to get pricing to install a heat pump with a propane furnace in my house. My house has never had a central system, had no existing duct work, and does not have a basement that runs beneath the entire house. The other 4 companies sent out a sales representative within a few weeks of my initial call, briefly review the layout of my house, and immediately starting giving prices. They all tried to convince me that their product is the best available and no one can match their expertise. It seemed like all of the companies were reading off the same script.

My experience with Dave at Sol was vastly different. Dave arrived within a week of my initial appointment, and made it clear he focuses on quality and finding a specific solution for each customer's unique situation. Dave spent a considerable amount of time walking through my house, entering the attic and the basement, and discussing potential options for the unit placement. He then sent me a comprehensive proposal with several different price points withing a few days of his initial appointment. His price was slightly higher than the big companies, but he offered a higher quality unit and significantly better customer service. A few minor issues arose after the initial installation and Dave promptly came back and resolved the issues at no additional cost.

I am very pleased with all of his work, and my monthly utility bills have dropped significantly. I would highly recommend Sol Heating & Cooling to anyone in the area who doesn't want to feel like another number at a big company.

These guys are great. I found them in the summer when my AC started acting up; they came to my house the same day I called (other HVAC companies told me the earliest they could come out was 4-6 weeks!) and Jeff did a great job of explaining what was wrong, what my options were, and how much it would cost. I signed up for a service agreement that day. They replaced my furnace in the fall and same thing, Dave came to our house to explain the options and the annual costs associated with each. The pricing both times was very fair and both times they did a thorough job. Their level of customer service is awesome and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Dave from Sol gave us a great proposal for our new heat pump system, and he and his crew did a superb job with the installation, keeping us informed along every step of the way. At all times they were courteous and considerate of our time, space, and all special considerations due to COVID. I will give my strongest recommendation to friends or family who need any HVAC services in the future.

The HVAC company that will instill your faith in humanity. Dave and Jeff are true professionals with a respect for community. They have been to our house countless times for various reasons, as we have a monthly service contract with them. They don't have oodles of technicians that don't know you or your home. As a result, they remember every past issue and all the quirks of your system. Each time they come, they are prompt, they address the issue, and they genuinely care. They hold themselves accountable for their work, and their performance is as good as it gets! What more could you ask for?

I was looking for a company to do a preseason maintenance on my oil burning boiler unit. I was expecting to see a typical replacement of the nozzle and maybe clean out the flue of soot. I did not receive that. Instead, I received THE most PROFESSIONAL and THOROUGH boiler cleaning and tune up that I had ever seen in my life! Sol had sent out a guy named Dave who knew what he was doing from the start. He pulled the entire burner apart, cleaned out all of the heat tubes, replaced the oil filter, nozzle, and reset the electrodes. AMAZING. I cannot recommend Dave enough! He explained everything in regular terms that a normal human being can understand. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Dave was here a total of about 5 hours (my boiler was EXTREMELY bad) and he didn't even charge me enough for the time he was here. Seriously, he should have charged me more for the extremely great work he did. I would have paid for it too. He is not like those larger companies that charge high dollars for a 15 minute "maintenance". Amazing. Simply amazing!

Friendly, honest, rapid service at a great rate. Dave's now done water heater replacement, attic air handler and outside air conditioning condenser replacement , and just recently came out in a foot of snow to repair my gas line. He knew we had no heat so expedited his repairs!

We give much praise and appreciation to Dave and his staff at SOL. Their work was accomplished with accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency. Communication skills are super: we had one of the best educational sessions on heat pumps, every step of the process was explained to us, and there was openness to ideas, suggestions, and requests.
