When we were installing a new oil boiler, we talked in detail with three companies. Apgar provided the most reliable equipment at a fair price. The installation went very well, and it has performed well. Then they replaced our 60 year old oil tank. Deliveries have also been reliable.

Spoke to Jim on Monday and they were here on Tuesday to pump out a leaking oil tank. We called several places and it seems like not to many companies perform this type of work. They were very professional and the two guys that came out were very polite and helped us in a time of crisis. If you ever need a tank drained I would highly recommend this company. Thanks for your help.

Apgar recently removed a large oil tank from our property in a driving rain in order to do the job as promised. The crew was professional, fast & efficient.
The crew practiced covid distancing procedure & wore masks when appropriate. Much appreciated. The office staff is helpful & follows thru.

We have used Apgar going on 3 years now and I have no complaints about the service. We are on the budget billing program and I think the prices are fair and we have never had an issue with our oil levels. Completely satisfied customer!

Found ourselves without heat, of course, on a weekend. Apgar's answering service contacted their repair department and a service man arrived mid-morning Sunday and we had heat again by around noon. This is not the first time we've required service outside of business hours, and Apgar has always handled these problems promptly and professionally.

This company is disorganized, not customer friendly, and tried to rip me off. I submitted an online order for heating oil over the weekend. I waited a few days for the oil, but none came. I checked my bank statement and the $ was taken out for the oil. I spend two full days on the phone with this company arguing that I had not received the oil, my gauge was not broken, etc. They never called me back like they said they would. Finally they admitted to their mistake and delivered oil to my house. No apology- just that I was right and the oil was finally delivered. Then, about a week later, their delivery man calls me up and tells me he was sent to my house to pump out my oil!!! I told him repeatedly that they made another mistake and there should be no reason to take out oil that I paid for! I think they probably got my address confused with another home's and delivered it to the wrong house in the first place, and then again, went to the wrong house to retrieve the oil. As of now I still have the oil, but who knows what will happen...

Bought a new house in Hellertown, the first year it was a nightmare dealing with a company in my same town. Always had to keep calling their voicemail and never hearing any response over the phone or through email for 2-3 weeks not knowing when or if oil was coming. Next season i found Apgar, and i will be a customer for life. Their delivery estimate when i order online is never too long and always accurate. They are also careful handling their equipment around my house.

We've been Apgar customers for generations. They kept a furnace that should have been scrap years before running for many years longer than it should have for us, replaced it quickly and reasonably when it could no longer be repaired, and always had oil in our tank on time. We will remain an Apgar customer as long as we live in this area.

Ordered heating oil online (Monday Jan 28th 2019) via Thrifty Fuel website as I have done in the past. Thrifty Fuel (Apgar Oil) delivers to my town/area on Thursdays. Friday (1 Feb 2019) comes and still no delivery. I call and ask what the issue was/is with the delivery. They explain the driver didn't want to pull into my driveway due to a little snow that drifted across from the wind and didn't want to "Risk it". Now, I live on a flat residential road and my driveway barely has a grade so I'm not sure what the driver would have "risked". Furthermore, oil delivery trucks never pull into my driveway. They just pull in front of my house and use the hose to go from the street to my house. So it seems the driver was just lazy and didn't want to get out of the truck because it was a little cold out. News flash....you guys are in the business of delivering heating oil that homeowners require in the WINTER! So now not only did they not deliver the oil they didn't even call to tell me the reason or when they would be back out to deliver. I had to call and chase them down. So I ask the delivery be sent back out today (Friday Feb 1st 2019). They state that cannot be done and next Thursday would be the next delivery. So I told them to cancel my order and I'll find another oil supplier. Thrifty Fuel operates under Apgar Oil so I will not be doing business with them in the future and I would caution anyone against using them for your home heating needs. Find another company that doesn't hire lazy delivery drivers. They obviously don't care about keeping your home warm and toasty. The delivery drivers are more concerned with keeping themselves warm and toasty in the cabs of the trucks.

We switched to Apgar for heating oil a few years ago and have been very pleased with price, service, and customer service that goes above and beyond. I'd give them a 5 star rating.
