Wortman Central Air

Our Memorial Day 2018 ended with AEP/PSO sending a power surge down from their transformer that fried our compressor, condenser and controls. After fighting with AEP/PSO and the homeowner's insurance for 2+ weeks without any A/C at all, we chose Wortman's to handle the job. Of the 4-5 companies, large and small, that we talked with about this job, Wortman's rep, Virginia, was exceptional, being the ONLY contractor that visited our property and completely crawled over and under our house to inspect the situation and the old systems. Working with her, we came up with a plan to replace the old unit, and make improvements to take advantage of the energy savings available for improving our house. Also, Wortman's helped us in working with OCCU to quickly get approval for a loan to commence the work. Their install staff have suffered through working in the attic space during some of the hottest days in June & July, but they always maintain a professional demeanor and efficiency. I'm glad we chose Wortman Central Air for this unplanned home improvement project, and I hope we can find service and quality like this in other contractors when we're working on other home improvements.

When your tech David was finished installing the HVAC unit he said he would get the inspection set up for this morning from 8 to 12. I just spoke to Virginia and she said that we were not on the city's schedule. I have wasted my day waiting for something that is not going to happen......thanks for showing me the kind of service you provide......

Eak did a fine job. Identified the problem quickly. Called in the order for the replacement board. Made his next service call. Picked up my board and had it installed by 5:30PM

The folks at Wortman were prompt, courteous, non-intrusive, and the owner kept a close eye on the work all along. They cleaned up after themselves daily, and did the work in the time predicted, and even though they ran into a number of unpredicted snags, they didn't charge me extra.

My air conditioning went out during a long stetch of 100 degree temperature days and I needed it fixed immediately. Wortman's was recommended to me by a friend and I am pleased to say I was astonished by their professionalism, courtesy, and most of all their promptness. During what I'm sure was a busy summer for them, they were at my house across town in no time and were able to get the job finished that same day, allowing me to avoid having to deal with what would have been a grumpy, restless family all night. I've used other companies before and always feel like they're tacking on extra fees or saying the problem is worse than it is to make a few extra bucks, but Wortman's was honest and their competitive pricing left my bank account virtually unscathed (which is more than I can say about the grumpy, restless family). I will ONLY use Wortman's in the future, and I suggest you do as well.

We may be repeating ourselves because this is our second go with Wortman’s on an entire HVAC system, but we are once again so please with our new system! We finally have a system that heats up our great room that has a high ceiling. For years we have resigned ourselves to blankets to stay comfortable in this room, but those days are gone. Wortman’s delivers quality service every time!

Both of my units went out which didnt make sense how, as it happened the same day. Zack and his helper josh came out to my house promptly and very quickly was able to figure what was wrong with both. Zack was teaching his helper and seemed to know exactly what was wrong with both units before even looking at them based off of what i had told him. He thouroughly went into detail on when, why, and how it was happening and showed him exactly how to check the problems. Thank you guys so much for getting my air back on and for all the schooling!
