Wortman Central Air

Our family purchases Wortman's annual service contract, have done so for many years. Its service personnel come to our house twice a year, servicing our HVAC equipment, preparing it for use during the next season.

One night this week, we began smelling a most foul oder and hearing some "popping-type, static-type noise." The fire dept helped us determine the noise was probably our TV going out. But we still couldn't determine what was causing the foul oder. After determining it was not an electrical issue, we called Wortman at 8 am and asked that our HVAC system be checked out.

One of our favorite Wortman service people, Ahmed, was at our door within 30 minutes. We explained what happened and what was still a problem... the foul oder! Carefully, inspecting, our equipment and the attic, it was suggested that the humidifier was either going out or had some other problem. We decided to turn off the humidifier. Since doing so, we have not smelled anything unusual or foul. We're going to give it this test a couple more days, hoping that the problem is solved.

All this to say that we are most pleased with the response and the service we received from Wortman, and especially Ahmed! Because of our past experience/history with Wortman, we listen to the suggestions offered by the service staff, and they are good to listen to and work with us. Every one at Wortman is courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient! We recommend calling Wortman for your HVAC needs.

We have had recurrent issues with our 4yo AC unit that no one has figured out. Eak did thorough troubleshooting, discovered the source of the problem, and fixed it. He was knowledgeable and explained what he was checking for and why. We will definitely use Wortman for our heating and air needs going forward!

Bobbie on the phone was kind and informative talking me thru the process. Eak the service tech was fantastic! I have a tiny bit HVAC knowledge and Eak was kind enough to check several things I thought might have been the problem before installing parts. Didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't really NEED. A great experience all around.

Great work done by the guys on our job. Our maintenance agreement is worth every penny as they check our system twice a year to keep it running properly and efficiently.

Wortman came on a Friday early evening and it was determined a part was defective and needed to be replaced. Instead of leaving us in the cold till they could get another part on Monday they chose to open the bad part and see if they could fix the issue. For that I am appreciative. It was 9pm on a Friday night when they finally left with my heat working.Thanks Eek and Benji for customer care.

The guy who serviced our house was knowledgable and honest. We had used another company a few weeks ago that charged us a ton and even tried to sell us freon when we didn't need it. Thanks Wortmans for being honest and providing superior consternation service at an affordable price!

Josh phoned after answering service contacted him regarding a problem with our AC on a Saturday. He was on a job & called again when he was on his way to us. Our thermostat had been showing 75 degrees for over 12 hours & system was on constantly trying to reach the 72 it was set to maintain. Josh went to work & discovered that the capacitor was not working & even showed us a new one compared to what he took out of our unit. He replaced the part & then stayed to make sure it was working. Told us to call if any problems. The house is cooling down nicely & it was a pleasure having him in our home.

A fairly major project that included install of a mini-split, insulation and crawl space encapsulation. They estimated 5 days, finished in four. On time every day, brief breaks and clean job site at the end of each day. Everything worked first time and a noticeable difference in comfort. Willie, Keo, Eak, Roberto and Josh were all awesome - friendly, talented in their areas and all with an excellent work ethic! The president of Wortman stopped by twice over the four days to check on progress and my thoughts.

I am so grateful to Hugo for going above and beyond to fix my air last night. He arrived at 10:30 pm and didn't leave till around 11:30 pm. My AC is working great again!

We had Wortman Central Air install a multi-split system two weeks ago and it has been the perfect solution for our situation. Kao, Vinset and Eak were friendly, knowledgable and professional every step of the way. The same can be said for Virginia who evaluated the issue and gave us our estimate. We will use Wortman for all our heating and cooling needs from now on. Thanks!
