Our A/C went out on us yesterday. After the first place we called had the on-call tech tell us we had to call for an appointment, we called this place which said they would come out for $189 fee. That was fine, I didn't mind paying to get my air working again quickly, especially as I currently working from home and have pets. Tech comes out, tells us there are a couple of things he can try to get it working, but it would be $4,500 to replace the parts it needed or $7,500 to replace the unit and they could do it the next day. We asked him to try to at least get it working for now. Over $400 dollars later he has it running but as he is getting in his van to leave it stops working again. He leaves. Doesn't do anything else. My husband calls a friend who used to work in air conditioning repair and who was the state license holder for his company - he drives an hour to us with a spare part he had at his house and this morning we still have a running A/C system. So either the tech had no idea what he was doing or choose not to fix it probably for the upsell in parts/new unit. Either way he left us without air in the middle of the summer.

Oh, part of that $400 was to replace a part that had a relay on it that the tech said he'd never seen done before and he didn't think was right so we replaced it. According to our state certified friend - it was completely normal.

I have Air Master to service my heat pump every year for about 15 years and have always gotten great service from the the Tech's until this year. The young man was Phillip and was new but that shouldn't matter, when he went outside to service the unit he did check the electrical but when cleaning the coils he didn't take off thee panels to thoroughly clean after putting in the solution and the didn't check the pressures as he turned off the power and never had it running while outside. He came inside .hanged the filters but never cleaned the condenser coils or pan as they gave always have done in the pass nor checked the electrical of the fan motor. We was told they would do a air quality check but the only thing he did was made sure the heat and air worked. My concern is how does he know if it was low in refrigerate if he didn't check the pressure. This is the only time we have been disappointed in the service which cost $89.88, I could have done the task that he did for free. I will ask for someone else next time that I know will check properly.

I had a new furnace and central air unit installed less than 4 years ago by Air Master. I had problems with the heat 3 times since installation. They were great about coming out to fix it, but after replacing the same part each time, they decided it was a manufacturer defect and replaced the furnace free of charge. I would definitely recommend them!

I had a complete replacement of my entire heating and cooling system done two months ago. Went with the mid range Carrier 90% gas furnace/13 SEER AC, replaced all the duct work, and had a vapor barrier installed. Price was $2000 less than the other local certified AC shop quote. I can not say enough about the quality of installation. I am a DIY guy, I was in the attic and crawl space enough with the installers to buy a second set of knee pads. Time and again, when the easy way to get things done appeared, the installers went the extra effort to install this system right. Just amazing in these times of slap things together and go.

Frankly, installation of a heating cooling system is what makes a system work for twenty years or die in two. These guys know what they are doing, if you want a honest skilled inexpensive AC/Heat repair shop ... they have my recommendation.

Terrible customer service. I called in to try and schedule a techician to come fix our blower. The technician called and said he'd be there in 2 to 3 hours. He called a couple hours later and said he couldnt come today and would come tomorrow. Well today is tomorrow and it was 1 PM and we still havent heard anything. So I called back in and they said that we needed to replace the entire system since it was old. I said ok, can we get someone out here today and look at the system and give us a quote. She said yes. So i waited and didnt here back for 2 hours so I called back in. She then tells me, theyre not going to come out because we needed a new system. I said ok but how are we going to agree to a new system without someone coming out to give us a quote. It's ridiculous that she said someone would come out but then basically brush us off and not let us know that they weren't planning on coming out.

Yes, it's memorial day and yes, it's being of summer, but if they're not interested in doing the work, let us know so we can find someone else who can.

Great company use them all the time

Air Master Technologies has been in business for 30+ years. The quality of the work sure does show - not to mention the professional staff. I had so many issues with my Heat Pump for years until they came out and performed a Tune Up - come to find out I was missing a cap on one of my refrigerant lines that was causing a slow leak of freon. Since they have starting doing maintenance on my unit I have had no issues and it runs great and I have a 17 year old Heat Pump. Air Master is the way to go!!!

Customer service was excellent from start to finish. My ac was low on freon, and had a leak. They performed a safety check and cleaned the coils. Runs like new..👍👍🥰

Poorest of service one could imagine. And although they were able to revive my 21 year old relic (kudos to you guys) , they needed 2 attempts (first "tech" couldn't fix it), and never finished putting the unit back together! Had I not taken the time to crawl under the house to inspect the work, this would have gone un-noticed for who knows how long. Could never imagine a situation in which I would ever call again for service.

I had major problems with Academy Mechanical in Concord, NC. I could not use the A/C that they had installed, due to leaking and flooding in my house. After months of trying to get help, I called Air Master Technologies. They were so understanding of my situation and sent one of their technicians to check things out. They found out that the owner of Academy Mechanical had tightened a bold too tight when the unit was installed, causing a crack in the condensation pan! Condensation was leaking from that crack and causing the flooding in my house. Ron Vickers was very knowledgeable! He ordered and replaced the cracked part and the A/C is working fine. I am so thankful for the help I received from Air Master Technologies. STAY AWAY FROM ACADEMY MECHANICAL! They do NOT know what they are doing and are very unprofessional and uncaring.
