Roby reached out to me to set up an appointment with a field service manager to check over the panel upgrade and verified that everything was installed correctly. Thank you. I appreciate the time they took to ensure that I was ultimately taken care of. It is very refreshing to see that they are willing to learn and improve from my feedback.

Hired Roby to do a panel upgrade in 2017 (from 150 amp to 200 amp.) I was told this was a standard job. I had read many good reviews before hiring Roby and thought this would be straightforward.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with their work. To sum this up -- a lot of mistakes were made and it appeared that this job was rushed.

Here is a list of what went wrong:

(1) The electrician who came to my house told me that upgrading the outside equipment/wiring was not part of the scope (which did not make sense to me because if the outside equipment/wiring where the electricity flows into the house is not rated for 200 amp, then it doesn't matter if the inside panel is...). He then called the main office who told him that the outdoor work WAS part of the scope and needed to be completed. Had I not asked about the outside equipment/wiring, this would have delayed the completion. This also indicates a lack of clear communication to the electrician from the main office/project manager.

(2) After replacing the panel/circuits/wiring and re-energizing the circuits, the circuit that the hot water heater is on was NOT properly re-set and therefore did not get re-energized. This left us without hot water for the weekend. There were also 6 mislabeled circuits (i.e. the second floor was listed as the third floor, etc.) that I spent 2+ hours re-labeling that weekend.

(3) A 220V wire that had been disconnected from the panel (before bringing Roby in) was re-energized. This wire was purposely left disconnected as the appliance it had been connected to was removed from my home and the plastic insulating layer on the wire was compromised (I did not want to use this wire for any new appliance or other future use as there is more risk because of the insulation damage). Unfortunately this wire was strung through the entire length of my home and I could not remove it unless I ripped up floors. Roby should have paid more attention to which wires were and were not energized BEFORE completing the upgrade instead of wiring up everything and assuming it was safe to do so. I know it is not uncommon in older homes (like mine) that wires are left disconnected from the panel because they are no longer in use (they are left there disconnected because it is too difficult/expensive to completely remove them from the walls leading up to the panel.)

(4) There was an electrical outlet in the way of where the new, larger panel needed to go. The electrician removed that outlet and did not tell me. My husband later noticed the outlet was missing, so I called Roby and requested that it be replaced, which it was. This indicates lack of attention to detail and possibly dishonesty.

I felt that I had to follow-up on many details and did not trust that the upgrade was done correctly. I felt that Roby was trying to get the job done quickly but not correctly.

I eventually had a generator installed, it's been in some months now. But, the process of getting it installed was hectic. I did go through Lowe's to order everything, I don't know if this was the problem. As my appts. I setup with them kept being cancelled, to not even been recorded when booked by phone. I didn't even get a clear reason as to why. I had to physically go to the office and speak with a couple people to see what was the hold up. This was also after the install was started, but not completed. One answer was "you are not on the schedule", which is one reason I was there. The installers were great, but it actually took months to install and of course that didn't take away from their prices. So, don't look for any payment adjustments or any discounts or refunds when they take a while to install something.

Anthony and Hunter came to my house today to evaluate a job. Specifically, whether they could install a new cooktop and downdraft vent system in my new kitchen island. They were prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional. They explained everything thoroughly, in a way I understood. I look forward to having them complete my remodel project.

Maddi and Aaron were both very attentive to my tight schedule for getting an estimate completed. I feel that the estimate is fair and complete. I plan to schedule the repairs early next year.

I called Roby for an after hours service request when my parents were having electrical issues and I couldn’t be happier with how professional, quick and courteous Jake was. I chatted online with Joshua who had a customer service rep call me within minutes of hearing what I needed. Crystal the CSR was great, she collected my information and had the on call electrician Jake call to discuss rates and availability. Within 30 minutes of my reaching out online Jake was on the way. Talk about customer service! Jake diagnosed the problem quickly and made sure my parents would have electricity to their main appliances before coming back tomorrow. I highly recommend Jake and Roby for electrical work.

Michael Brigham was a wonderful plumber. He diagnosed our problem, offered good advice about things we did not know regarding our water system and fixed our issue. He is quiet, patient, knowledgeable and efficient. Will always request him in in the future!

I called Roby Electric out on a Sunday and they responded in 1/2 hour fixing the electrical problem in less than an hour. The electrician who responded was both knowledgeable and efficient. He explained what needed to be done to correct the problem and cleaned up after himself. I was beyond impressed with the service and price.

Jack communicated in a timely fashion, updating me via text before he arrived and when he needed to leave and get more parts. He went above and beyond in the repair job: Not only fixing the issue in a timely fashion but even installing a few extra clips to hold a loose line in place unrelated to the job at hand, free of charge. Really appreciated his knowledge, professionalism, and timeliness.
