We had a geothermal HVAC system installed this May. The team that worked for us was so knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous. They were able to explain our system, answer all our questions before and during installation, and went out of their way to make sure that we were happy every step of the way. The entire company has been excellent at communicating, showing up on time and treating our home with care as though it was their own. I highly recommend them. The finished product is efficient, easy to use, and the Dandelion staff continue to be excellent resources whenever we have a question about using the new thermostat. We are thrilled with our investment and so happy we went with Dandelion.

Dandelion finished installing our Geothermal heating and cooling system in May of this year. Throughout the whole process, Dandelion was with us every step of the way. Everyone whom I had the pleasure of interfacing with has been great to work with. During each phase of the project, you are provided with details on what will occur and the appropriate amount of time the phase is expected to take. If issues arise, you are informed of any changes relatively quickly.

Dandelion finished our geothermal heating and cooling system installation a few weeks ago. Every single person I dealt with at the company was lovely, from the salesman to the installers to the account managers. The drilling process was amazing and fascinating to watch. The inside installation took longer than expected (three full weeks vs. the two weeks they had estimated) but they were very apologetic about the delay and they took the time to get it all right in the end. The system is working incredibly well. Night and day difference in comfort compared to our previous heating system, an old oil furnace. It even kept us warm during the cold blast last weekend, when it was only 6 degrees outside. I am thrilled not to need oil anymore. I can't wait to see how the AC feels in the summer.

The project took about ten months to complete, from signing the contract to being completely done. The salesman originally estimated we would have our system finished by "late fall" and that is exactly what happened. It is a multi-stage process and I believe there is a significant waiting list to get started, so if you're interested start the process ASAP!

Finished are installation in Oct 2022, we had a geothermal unit installed. The drilling crew and the installers were all great. Love the way it heats without drying out the air in the house. The system is an amazing upgrade from our old oil furnace and AC unit.

Actual service was a geothermal heat pump installation, which replaced my oil furnace and central air conditioner. The process took a long time, about a year from signing the contract, including four months from the initial drilling to the installation of the heat pump, but it was worth it. I will have to reseed the front lawn and level out the ruts from the machines, but that is a small price to pay to be done with fossil fuels. They removed my old furnace and AC condenser, the install is nice and clean and the system is working very well, keeping my house at a constant 71 degrees.

Overall happy with the system and outcome but painful process. Would recommend Dandelion to others because of the mission, end product, and cost after rebates and tax credits. So far the AC has been frigid! The local crew of Dan, Manny, Ron, Morty, and Victoria made a clean and professional install and took care of my specific requests for pipe runs and equipment location. Be prepared for the drilling and trenching to leave your yard in a very rough grade state and damage sprinklers, so factor those repairs and landscaping into your decision. The process took 8 months total and if I hadn’t been as involved or committed to getting geothermal it would have turned out poorly. These were some of the issues along the way: 1. The design layout of my home was all wrong so I had to mark it up with corrections 2. I got in writing from the account manager (AM) & designer that my air handler upstairs could be relocated a few feet away as marked up in a photo by me, but then that couldn’t be fully accomplished during install w/o a $3k upcharge so we made a new compromise plan. 3. Salesperson told me the main panel upgrade (MPU) owner’s obligation in my contract was always there and wouldn’t be needed, but then before install my AM and designer tried saying it was or I wouldn’t get Aux heat. I was finally able to show them that an MPU wasn’t needed but they still removed Aux heat from the downstairs unit and left it in the upstairs unit where it will never be needed because all the heat rises in my home. 4. AM told me the customer needs to pick up the permit, but when doing so the town said that’s not true, and then the install crew showed up with it anyway. 5. The crew gouged a spot on my new wood floors removing the old equipment (spot wasn’t protected at the time) and then Dandelion took the position of using the contract to state that they’re not responsible for damages. They did eventually resolve the issue satisfactorily.

Dandelion Energy recently installed a 4 Ton geothermal system to replace the oil boiler and AC system that were installed 18 years ago. We were looking for a way heat and cool our home that would complement the 9Kw solar array that we have. The entire experience was very professional and pleasant. All the employees from the Project Manager to the heat pump installers were a pleasure to work with and were very open to explaining their role in the entire process. We were very surprised by how the cleanup process left less damage to the lawn than we expected. We attribute this to the use of the Sonic Drill. It is truly a "lawn saver". We highly recommend utilizing Dandelion Energy to install your Geothermal System. We no longer worry about the fluctuating prices of oil or hearing a noisy AC unit while enjoying the backyard in the summer. Not to mention the savings that accompany this installation that makes this upgrade a financial must have.

Dandelion was great to interface with every step of the process. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The system works great. The cost to operate and payoff the system is completely offset by the cost of fuel oil, and we get the added bonus of efficient AC in the summer. No money up front and the tax advantages make switching to Dandelion an easy decision. Thank you Dandelion!

Not an honest company. Their equipment is very low end in quality and high in operating costs. The company need for sales is so high they have very high pressure sales and are known to make people sign agreements to not speak to any other company about geothermal for a year, up front before even getting a quote.
STAY AWAY FOR YOUR MENTAL AND MONETARY HEALTH!

Big fan of the concept, and we would do it again if we were to start from scratch, despite the so-so experience so far with project completion.

Very “white-glove” treatment till contract was signed. Heavily reliant on subcontractors since then.

Unsatisfactory level of communication once outside work completed. 220-volt electrical board for the house to replace the existing one apparently not ordered with time to spare as we are 7-8 months into contract (“supply chain” issues). At least a month in delay.

I strongly believe in the technology and its future, but execution so far has been inconsistent.

Good luck!
