We were interested in Geo Thermal for several years but didn't see it as feasible until we discovered Dandelion. The project was complex and took time to complete but was well worth it. All parties including sales, drill team, and install teams were professional, courteous and clean. House is healthier and more comfortable than it was before and our energy costs are down in total year over year so far. Financing and federal rebates are definite pluses and with equipment removals/replacements (boiler, oil tank, old water heater and air handlers) we have more room for storage.

My experience with Dandelion Energy has been and continues to be stellar. My system produces efficient, toasty heating and hot water, as well as super cold cooling. I've been curious about geothermal for years, but always thought it was beyond my affordability. When I saw that I could easily finance my Dandelion system I realized that clean energy was within my reach! Each person I've been in contact with at Dandelion has been kind and attentive - their mission is clear at all times - customer satisfaction and commitment to ensuring this, and integrity in their production, installation and maintenance of the Dandelion system. I do believe that Dandelion is forging a new path for all those who desire a cleaner, better energy for health and the environment. I am so grateful and highly recommend!!

I had been interested in installing geothermal in my house when I first bought it a decade ago but the cost at that time was prohibitive. When I heard about Dandelion almost two years ago I was immediately interested in learning more about their offering. After about 6 months of getting a site survey and working out the contractual details I had my geothermal system installed by Dandelion in December of 2018. The new system replaced an oil fired air handler and central AC in a 2,400 sf home. After having used it during a very cold Winter and hot and humid Summer I can say I've been very pleased at its performance and have had no issues keeping my home comfortable. I have a state of the art air filtration system attached to the geothermal system so the longer run times actually helps keep my indoor air quality at a pristine level. So far I estimate having saved $1,500 net between my current system and old system when calculating all expenses that go into heating and cooling the home including the electricity costs which went up about 50%. I love that I don’t have an oil tank in the basement any more and not contributing to climate change as much as when I was burning fossil fuels. There is no onsite combustion and therefore no emissions of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide or other greenhouse gases. It is safer for the family and the planet and this is what drove my decision to get geothermal. As in some other reviews the drilling and digging did take a toll on my yard so this is something to consider and be prepared for. Will likely have to re-seed parts of your lawn. But all in all, I'm happy with the decision we made and can recommend Dandelion to others who want to save money and also contribute to saving the planet.

We had our system installed in March of 2020. While we did have a few issues with the install (the heat pump water heater leaked and we had water coming in from where the loop came into the house from rain) both of those have been fixed, without question. We also have one other issue with noise while the system is on and Dandelion is in the process of taking care of that as well. Customer service = A+, Professionalism = A+, Support = A+, and best of all, the system itself is amazing! Using our solar panels we now have heat, cool air and hot water without needing any fuel sources. I can't say enough how great this company has been.

Dandelion Energy installed a 4 ton and 3 ton unit in my house. I had relied on the Google Reviews of the experience to make my decision. So here's my contribution back to the community. The process through COVID was smooth. The process of estimating the system, planning, getting the necessary permits etc. was seamless. I also did not have any surprises regarding the installation, price etc. in a negative way. I had a pleasant surprise when the state of CT increased the rebate amount (although I am yet to find out what impact it will have for me specifically).

We did have some challenges post installation that I want to point out to other homeowners to be aware of. The Geothermal system moves fluids around - a lot of connections. While I was concerned about leaks underground which is handled well by the Dandelion approach, I did not appreciate the challenges of leaks inside the house.

There is a ground flow loop, there is a hot water loop and there is a condensate pump all moving water (With 2 systems we had 6 places where leaks can develop). We had leaks in 3 of them. Also, there is no sensor to detect water on the base or ground or inside the unit itself. So unless the homeowner is vigilant about watching out for leaks this can go undetected and I imagine leading to rusting and premature failure.

Figuring out the source of the leak is a challenge - the ground flow liquid is oily to touch while the other two are just water. Dandelion to their credit has been responsive in addressing the leaks as they happened. But 3 months after the install, I still find small amount of water under one unit - that I hope is from the most recently addressed leak. I have dried everything up with towels and will have to monitor over the next month.

If you try to sell the house the inspectors will likely use a device that can find trace amounts of moisture under these. So please pay attention especially in the first 2-3 months of heating season and 2-3 months of cooling season to make sure that leaks do not form.

We did have one more issue where the compressor stopped working and it was traced to the plug for the compressor coming out of the circuit board popping out due to vibration. I don't expect that to be a common occurrence - but figured I'll mention in case it happens to someone after the first year.

I would conclude that Geothermal is still a good idea - it makes a lot of sense if you have to replace aging equipment anyway and Dendelion makes a difficult project easy.

We installed a Dandelion geothermal system in 2018 and have been extremely happy with the performance. It has performed to the specifications we were provided. The heat is strong and even and the summer cooling is excellent. The energy usage is in line with what we were told it would be which is important as we have solar panels on our roof to provide electricity for our house including the geothermal system. The installation experience was painless and everyone we dealt with at Dandelion was professional was knowledgeable.

I found Dandelion through a FB ad in 2017 while considering a replacement for a 30 year old oil furnace & air conditioner (2000 sf house). We wanted to be free of oil deliveries & do better environmentally. Our house's location prevented us from going solar. So, with the State & Federal rebates, & the great pricing offered by Dandelion, the decision for us was a no brainer. It was a process, & we were aware from the start that this was a push to add affordable geothermal for homeowners in NYs Hudson Valley region.
Via Dandelion, we met many professional & considerate people throughout our installation, from Sales, Installers, Drillers from different parts of the US, NYSERDA, etc. The house originally had lackluster hot air ductwork - returns where registers should have been & vice versa - So kitchen & family room temperatures were hard to maintain at comfortable temperatures. We agreed to modifications & additional ductwork so our system would work optimally.
Now in our 3rd year with the geothermal system, it has been everything Dandelion claimed it would be - cleaner than the oil burner, quieter operation, the heating & cooling are even throughout the house, it costs about half of the old heat/cool systems (depends on yearly price of fuel oil), & the humidity seems better than the oil-fired, hot air system.
Any questions, concerns, issues that we had before, during, or after installation were handled quickly & effectively.
We have the system serviced yearly & change the air filter about every 6 months.
No regrets, love our geothermal!

I'd known about Geothermal technology but never thought it was something that could be installed residentially (at least on our budget). After buying a new home, which needed both a new furnace and air conditioning, we discussed what an amazing solution Dandelion presented to us. Everyone from the sales team to the installers could not have been more helpful in addressing our questions and concerns at every point along the way. We're so happy with the outcome, both financially and environmentally.

We own a home in Ithaca and have 3 acres of property. We purchased a horizontal loop ground source heat pump system from Dandelion in 2019 because they offer a great financing and system package that has made it financially feasible for us afford. Dandelion works with local installers to install the ground source heat pump systems. Working with Dandelion was always a pleasure and they are a top-notch company. We did have a few hiccups with the local installer, and Dandelion immediately got more involved to resolve the problems. They have been extremely communicative and more than fair in resolving any issues as they arise. We love our system and Dandelion has maintained a good relationship with us to help with collecting our energy data and maintaining the system.

We were looking for a way to use excess power generated by our solar. Dandelion was recommended by friends and we also attended an open house. Dandelion was able to schedule us quickly so we could take full advantage of the tax incentives.
They were able to drill where we requested ( because of compact drill ).
Work was completed in professional manner, all the workers were courteous. We are happy with the unit and expect a 75% savings on our heating bill when combined with our solar.
