There’s no doubt that Chris Anderson, the owner, is very friendly and polite on sales and service calls. He is, and I’d be the first one to say it, just as other reviews have stated. Chris Anderson was actually an elected serving trustee of the village of mastic beach when I had my unfortunate endeavor with Anderson Air/Chris Anderson, owner. An elected official who should have “the backs’” of EVERYONE in the community. I’ll give Chris the benefit of the doubt here in the fact that maybe he was truly stumped and had no idea what was really wrong and he was maybe way out of his league here. But there’s no excuse for this — I had Anderson Air install a 3 Unit multi minsplit (up to 3 air handlers inside running in up to three rooms and all hooked up to one outside compressor in summer 2015. Had 2 mini split air handlers installed, 1 in master bedroom (15x20 sq ft room) and 1 in spare bedroom (12x11 sq ft room). Contract proposed and recommended and I signed for, called for 12k btu in master and 9k btu in spare. Chris installed 2 12k btu because “that’s what Fujitsu delivered’, as was put to me. Master seemed to work cold if you really ramped it up beyond ordinary, normal use. Spare only blew lukewarm, never ever cold (like the room never had a/c installed in the first place). Chris came back out a few times in summer 2015, issue still persisted. He came back in summer 2016 and said I can’t have the ceiling fans on while the ac is on, it affects the a/c sensors? That didn’t work. So summer 2017 came, same nonsense. Chris came up with a few non serviceable ideas when he came to the house like maybe the units aren’t able to read the remotes, when the remotes went into “sleep mode”??, none worked. Said he’d call the manufacturer and get back to me. Never heard from him again. I called about 20 times even got his cell, which the 1st time he answered and promptly hung up. He never would get on the phone or return a message left. I contacted Fujitsu and was connected to one of their certified local installers. New hvac contractor found a couple of issues - the units were electrically wired wrong, the piping/plumbing was connected wrong to the compressor. There is an a, b and c port on the compressor and Chris hooked mine up to B and C. The manufacturer requires air handlers to be connected in A B C order. Next was the air handlers btu ratings. If you put your room dimensions in the manufacturers website calculator, a 7btu and 9btu was recommended for the spare and master bedrooms, accordingly. When you put too powerful of a btu unit in a smaller room, the unit blasts on and off constantly but never runs continuously to condition the air and decrease really humid air and a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on the system kicking on and off constantly. So another $3250 in repairs/replacements to get it working perfectly now to the new hvac manufacturer certified dealer/installer. I already paid Anderson Air $8,950 for his installation/purchase. So I took him to court, he never showed —— both times he was summoned. I won in January 2018 and have a judgement for the additional costs I had to lay out to fix this. Can you guess how I am going to end this? Sept 2019, I still haven’t been compensated and Anderson hasn’t responded with payment or anything with regards to the open judgement against them and mailings by the court. If anyone would like to see a copy of the judgement or transcripts, PM me, I’ll supply a pic to support my grievance. I’m only asking for fairness here. Chris Anderson would still get the keep the $5700 of the $8950 i paid him if he rightfully reimbursed me. I unfairly got put out for the $3250 due to Anderson Air’s blunder(s). If you do a Suffolk Search for Andersen, there’s over 20+ judgements out stand against the company.
