    Louis and his crew arrived on time to check on the air-conditioning leak I had .After informing me that I needed to have my unit replaced they were very helpful with any questions I had I've always had a good track record with a degree above and I trust them to replace this unit and and have our house feeling comfortable once again. Thank you a degree above for your prompt and reliable service.

    After giving us several options to fix or replace our old AC units we've decided to go with new units. The day of installation they arrived and finished completing the work exactly as promised. Lou and his crew went above and beyond our expectations and showed true professionalism were very polite and then did an amazing job cleaning everything up
    Leaving our home spotless inside and out.

    My unit was installed 6 years ago. I was not told to get permits. While it is written in the contract, they did the work without permits. The inspector came to my home and now, 6 years later. I had to pay $100’s for a permit. They also installed a water heater without a permit, when I contacted them, I was told we don’t have a plumber and you have to find one. I now have to pay $100’s for a permit and a plumber to settle with the town. After a conversation with Cheryl and Lou, Lou told me in a very threatening tone, “come down and we’ll settle it.” I’m the home owner, not a contractor, they should have made sure the job is inspected after the finish. Makes common sense to me, obviously, not to them. Very unprofessional. Keep in mind, they do not offer 24/7 service. If your A/C goes down on the weekend during the summer, you have to call someone else like I did. Shame on you Lou!

    The guys at A Degree Above never disappoint. They showed up in a few hours after my husband called for emergency service for our hydronic heating system. Then a few hours later the system was repaired and the house warm again. Thank you to Paul and the entire team at A Degree Above, including their apprentices. We highly recommend this company.

    Did heating maintenance, then 10 days later (during peak cold start season), boiler stopped working. Called frantically first thing a.m. Sheryl was so kind and genuinely concerned. She tried to troubleshoot over the phone but did this did not work. She said they were very booked up but promised to call back with a plan. Sure enough an hour later she called and said technician who did boiler maintenance earlier would be coming by around 2. Again as promised he showed up at 2. (To be clear, boiler was working for a few days after maintenance then we had a warm spell. Only realized once it turned cold again that boiler was not working). Turns out thermocouple needed replacing. Tech replaced the thermocouple and charged just for the part. Super impressed and very grateful at how quickly they responded. These guys are top notch. I almost don’t want to write this review because I don’t want them to be too busy for me when I need to call but they deserve success and for everyone else to know how great they are.

    We called as first-time customers with our AC fan not working and an idea of what the problem might be (having seen similar symptoms years ago), and scheduled an appointment. Later the same day we got an email and a call back asking if we were at home and a repairman could visit *soon*. Lou showed up, did some evaluation, replaced the starter capacitor, explained what he had done - with photos - and now all's right with the world. Responsive, adaptable, good use of technology and communication to stay in touch with the customer, nice guy showing up to do the work, and all working well - everything we could ask of a repair service. Count us as happy customers.

    My husband and I just got our new AC system installed this week. We got a few estimates but decided to go with A Degree Above because of their reviews and one past experience. I remember Matt Dickson was the technician that serviced our Peerless boiler for the fall maintenance 7 months ago. He was also very professional and kept everything clean when he was finished.

    For the AC project, we were pleasantly surprised the technicians brought their own tarps and cloth to cover the carpet and stairs. We didn't even have to give any of them our "booties" as they each brought their own.

    We were also surprised and happy that they sent over 4 technicians (Paul, Nick, Nick S., and Matt). They divided and conquered, working quickly and efficiently. We have had friends who used other contractors, sending only sent 2 people who work the entire day (10+ hours) on the job. Not only is this a waste of the homeowner's time, I'm sure having 2 workers working long hours is a bit overwhelming for them...which will decrease their quality of work.

    To be honest, we are newer homeowners, and we know little about heating and cooling systems. We honestly do not know whether they did a good job or not (technically speaking)....whether they took shortcuts or not. However, based on their attention to detail for "the little things" (setting down tarps, using booties, cleaning up after the job is done, communicate with us in a professional manner) surpasses our expectations, then their attention to detail for the the actual installation of the compressor and air handler will be the same.

    After the installation, one of the technician took the time to show my husband the duel safety mechanisms installed at the air handler and how to maintain system efficiency by flushing it via the clean out cap. The technician also helped set up our new Nest Thermostat and inputted their vendor code to activate the Nest warranty.

    Thanks again for sending a crew of competent professionals. If there are any concerns, we'll definitely contact them and update this review accordingly.

    I used A Degree Above about five year ago and was impressed with their professionalism and honesty. When my central ac had problems again, I didn't hesitate to call them. They were once again very thorough in their investigation into the problems my ac unit was having, explained everything they were doing and what my options were. I would definitely recommend them.

    A Degree Above is a reputable respectful company. Once they start a project they'll finish the project and if there are any issues they'll address it. Lou, is a honest man with integrity they did an advanced full installation in our 3k and greater square foot home. They paid full attention detail can't tell how happy I was to have them as my HVAC contractor. A +

    I've used Degree Above multiple times since I bought my home. I'm very pleased with the service from start to finish. They always try to come ASAP, frequently the same day. The guys take the time to explain what the problem is and your options. When they saw that I was knowledgeable and handy, they even advised me to try and diagnose simple fixes prior to calling them which showed me they care about their customers and not just making a buck. I highly recommend them.

    Lou and Erin were amazing. They were recommended greatly by Michael at Peace of Mind Plumbing. Michael was right. Erin was a pleasure on the phone and assured me all would be addressed promptly. Lou showed up about 30 minutes after hanging up and found the issue almost instantly. I spent hours and hours and day’s and day’s on google trying to figure out the headache. He immediately noticed the issue. Not only did he fixed it immediately, he checked the rest of the system for peace of mind. I’m glad I called them and had them come over without hesitation. Will recommend them to anyone. Thank you Lou!!!
