    If I could give 10 or more stars to A Degree Above Heating & Cooling, I would. They've been servicing our AC and heating units for the last 4 years and just when I thought I couldn't be happier with their service, they go way above and beyond. On Sunday our AC stopped working. I called them Monday morning and around 2pm the technicians were here. They diagnosed the problem, ordered a new motor and today (Tuesday) the owner plus another technician showed up to replace the motor. Mind you, it was pouring and windy when they showed up but they worked thru it and within a hour or so our AC was up and running. I just couldn't believe how dedicated they are to their customers. Lou and his team are honest, fair, knowledgeable, very professional and simply exceptional...they listen to the customers and truly care. A Degree Above Heating & Cooling is the team you want to call!

    I can't express enough how professional A Degree Heating and Cooling company is, finding people like Lou, Cheryl, Richmond was are recent tech but the others guys are so informative, very nice they are truly a gem. There guys are amazing and I also think there prices are reasonable. I am not big on writing Reviews but I had too for this company and for any family out there in need of a honest trusting company..Thank you A Degree we appreciate you so much.

    Purchasing a home can be very stressful but A Degree Aboves technician put us at ease. He was very thorough and explained every component on both the AC and furnace unit that was having issues. They were able to provide a quote to us that will allow negotiations to occur with the sellers. We will definitely be using them once the home is closed and we can proceed with repairs. Highly recommended.

    This company is truly top notch. From Erin in the office to the 3 technicians and the owner I had the pleasure of working with. I have a worry free contract with PSEG, however they were wrong in their diagnostic and recommended something that is not covered under the warranty. After contacting 7 HVAC companies, A Degree Above exhibited the most professional, kind, and was reasonable in pricing. I am glad I decided to go with them. They replaced the panel we asked them to only to find out that this was not the issue (the 1st set of technicians were hesitant that this was not the issue, but I insisted it be changed). The wonderful woman in the office, Erin, called back and said the owner would like to come out and figure out the problem. The very next day he showed up with another gentlemen and they fixed the issue (wiring) for free! Now THAT is an outstanding company for you and A Degree Above does definitely go ABOVE and beyond what is expected of them. Any other company could have left it at changing the panel, only to come back and charge for fixing the wiring issue. This company did not, and for that I am grateful and will happily refer them to anybody that needs an HVAC company in the future. Thank you so much for your kindness, helpfulness, and integrity, we are so thankful!

    We needed a new hvac system for our home and had reached out to several vendors for pricing and product. My husband and I ultimately went with A Degree Above. Their pricing was the most competitive and their employees also the most professional. A degree above came to replace out hvac unit less than 1 week after we welcomed our newborn son to the house. They were extremely respectful of our home, going above and beyond to protect our hardwood, and all areas that their team would be working. They arrived timely and did an incredible job, without disturbing my newborn. I highly recommend going with this company if you are looking for a no hassle, responsive, and competitively priced business.

    Awful. Getting them to do a simple estimate has been a nightmare. They send incomplete estimates with inconsistent info and nobody is available to discuss it. When I ask to have a conversation with someone, I am told to send emails and they never respond. Weeks after their “assessment”, after describing the problem to multiple employees over and over, they sent an estimate with a proposal to replace the system with an identical system, even though the system isn’t broken - it’s the actual setup that doesn’t work. They want me to replace an air handler and compressor when the actually design of the ducts in the home will make cooling impossible. They actually acknowledged this in an email.

    What’s worse, we originally called because our system only cooled to 73 in 80 degree weather. After their repair guy “fixed” the system, it stopped working completely. I had to call another company just to get back to where we were before Degree Above created more problems.

    No communication, posing solutions that don’t work, making matters worse, total inability to listen to the issues raised by the customer, blaming the customer for their incompetence at every opportunity and an unwillingness to work it out.

    These are irresponsible people who just want to sell you garbage.

    Stay far away.

    Great prompt service was able to get to us last minute on a really hot day just before a holiday weekend!! Guys were polite(Matt and Rich) and seemed very honest they did their job quickly and professionally! The girl (I think her name was Erin) was very nice getting us in last minute. And their prices were not very expensive considering it was also a last minute emergency did not charge any extra fee just a normal service call price $99.99 which is about normal!

    I finally found an air conditioning company I can trust. Lou is an honest, knowledgable and professional. I called at 7pm on a friday and he was here ther next morning. I am so appreciative of the service call, particularly since it's going to be over 90 degrees in june! My system froze up. Lou diagnosed the problem and got me up and running until the parts come in.

    I contacted A Degree Above to inspect the HVAC system before I bought my home and they recommended some items to do. I waited until the spring when it got hot to call them back. Their communication is top notch, which is always the hardest part. Setting up an appointment was so simple and easy. Mr.Borgonos arrived on time and was very professional. He had a mask on with gloves and also wore booties before walking into my house. He then gave me tips on how to maintain my system as well. GREAT SERVICE!

    I generally despise working with contractors and repairmen, but my recent experience with this company was great. I own a rental home in Bergen county and can't really make it out there often, so when the tenants called to report a malfunctioning AC unit, I called this company based on their online reviews. Thankfully, the reviews were right- they are very honest, hardworking, and responsive.

    They even did something I've not seen before- I figured I needed a new unit, expecting to pay thousands, but they said "we can try to get it running by replacing a capacitor". They did, and it did! Unfortunately, a day later it died again so they came back and replaced the whole unit, at a surprisingly fair price.

    I was just so refreshed that they tried to do it affordably at first, and they didn't charge me a second call to come back out, and even refunded the parts cost from the parts that didn't solve the issue. I mean really- it's exactly what I would want in a company.

    Just a great experience all around. I hope never to need them again, but if I do, I know who I'm calling.
