Purchased a complete system in 2015. New water heater. Heater. Ac. First use of humidifier basement flooded. Came out to fix. Next use. Basement flooded again. Then we go issue free for a few years. Paying the ridiculous monthly fee for 30 min of their time twice a year. If you can even get on the schedule. Water heater blower fan went bad just out of warranty wanted over $800 to fix (loyal customer price). Got fixed by another local chain for less than 1/3 of price. Next summer compressor failed on ac unit. 6 week wait to get installed. And $1500. Again got done by local chain for half the price the same day! BEWARE STAY AWAY. Very overpriced and overpromising sales pitch with no results delivered.

I'd recommend potential customers to demand seeing a quote before letting the technician do the job. I tried to replace my furnace igniter on my own, but I purchased one that was too tall. Before I knew it, the technician swapped out the one I installed with a shorter one, and my furnace worked great. I was relieved it was only the igniter because I feared the burners needed cleaning or replacement, and who knows how much that would cost... So, I gave the technician the igniter I installed the day prior, thinking they could use it for someone who needed it, and the technician went back to the truck to draw up my bill.

After less than 30 minutes of time, I was billed a total of $513.20. I was charged $165 for the person to come out, and then I was charged $348.20 for the new igniter, for it to be wired on, and for it to be tested to see if it worked. I wrote the check and changed my attention to a sofa delivery I was receiving at the same time, but later I decided I would call to speak with a manager to better understand what I was exactly charged for. I was worried I had been charged the wrong amount for the igniter, since, just the day before, I went shopping for exactly that part. It cost $50. I was very upset because if I knew that would be the price of the job, I would've asked the technician to please leave, I'll find the shorter igniter myself, here is $200 or whatever the amount would be for coming out.

About a week later the manager called me back, and they explained that the $348.20 invoice item which reads, and I quote, "hot surface igniter. Installed and wired in/tested/workin As it should" - includes the cost of the part, labor, insurance, education for the employees, having $1 Million on hand at all times in case something happens, truck expenses, cable bills, phone bills, gas, paying the person who answers the phone, and other charges associated with running a business etc. etc. That explanation comforted me in knowing that there were other expenses making up this invoice item which weren't evident on the paper, handwritten invoice, because I would've been really upset if I received an approximate 673% up-charge for an igniter. After explaining to the manager how shocked I was at this price and how disappointed I was that I didn't have the opportunity to decline service, he told me he would make a note on my file for $50 off my next service. So, again, my advice to potential customers is to demand a quote before the technician just does the job.

I'd also recommend the company to produce more detailed invoices so that customers know and understand exactly what they are being charged for. There should be individual line items for any parts, a line item for the labor, one for any flat fees for showing up, and that really should be it. If they wanted to include a line item for gas, that would probably be fine these days, too. It isn't good to lump everything into one big charge - it's confusing, and in some cases across the region it can be purposefully misleading just to charge more.

I have been using this company for all my plumbing and electrical needs for 8 years! They did my oil to gas conversion. In a very timely and clean manner. Also helped me to get set up with financing and rebates. They are very professional and will always come no matter what time or day it is. My most recent service was a boiler flush. He was in and out in N hour and arrived on time! Very friendly staff that will answer any questions you may have. All in all a good local contractor!

I found this company's information on our heating system and I am glad it was there. A tech was at my home within 2 days of my call (not an emergency) and was beyond helpful, professional, and genuinely nice. He answered all my questions and gave great advice. The owner, Chris, completed a follow-up call to check in, which is rare these days - they seem to truly care about the customers. He too was super easy to talk to and I am actually looking forward to my cooling service in the spring. Highly recommend.

We have been a customer for more than 10 years and in that time I've had no problems with any of the service technicians being unprofessional. RPHCE had installed a Heating and Air Conditioning system a few years ago to replace the original unit for the house that was at the point where it was no longer cost effective to fix the various problems. All the work was outlined in as much detail as I wanted, and the work was done to meet that expectation. They have come to our house within a few hours to fix the AC when its > 95 degrees outside, on a weekend when an asthmatic family member couldn't go somewhere cooler due to a recently broken leg. When I asked them to come to my house to consult/review/check my own plumbing work, the plumber was very knowledgeable and had a good attitude. If we ever move again, we are taking them with us.

We were assigned to Runnemede by our Home Warranty Company after the first company they provided us could not come look at our nom working heater for almost 48 hours in February. Runnemede had someone at our home within 2 hours of being contacted by the Home Warranty Company. The tech quickly determined the issue was with the motor on our furnace and submitted all the paperwork to get the part and installed it the next morning. The company went above and beyond to assist us during a stressful time of not having any heat the day before our daughter’s birthday party that was planned at our home. We will be requesting them again if we have any other issues. They truly care about the customers they serve.

Had a bad experience. To be fair they tried to make it right. I got one price on the phone doubled at the door. So I understand that they have a certain billing structure but to be laughed at when I said I wasn't told was the moment I knew I would not give them any more of my money. They installed a munchkin boiler and it is super junk. I have to replace the spark plugs 2 times per year. That isn't their fault but it adds to my frustration. So I bought the part and installed it and I saved over 1000 dollars on the quoted price 1600. The part was 400

I have gone through the various reviews of Runnemede, and while I cannot comment on them specifically, I can say that I have never had a negative experience. In my prior house, they were the only company that could fix a four-zone heating and cooling system that was installed by a different company. When we purchased our new house, we had a dead register and Runnemede was the only company to identify the source of the problem. As of May 2017, I would highly recommend this company over most others and trust me, I've had many others come through both homes I have owned.

I needed their services twice in the past month to install 2 toilets. I saw them on Angie's list and gave them a shot. I met Mark on the first visit. Professional, friendly, and thorough. It took about an hour to remove the old one and install the new one. He cleaned up without asking and was on his way! Great job! 3 weeks later I asked them to send Mark back for the second one. Another great job, and a well satisfied customer.

I'm looking for a heating company to replace our oil furnace with a high-efficiency gas furnace and to replace our old gas hot water with a high-efficiency unit as well. I just wanted to let the owner know that making kind of nasty comments about customers who complain really doesn't do a lot to promote your business to potential customers. I actually had a good experience when I got a bid from you guys, but your responses here seem so rude and annoyed, I decided to go elsewhere for the actual job. In the future, you might want to sound more customer-friendly in your responses.
