I decided to do maintenance of my central A/C system before it gets hotter. Today, it is now 85 degrees, and I can't turn on my AC until I go to Home Depot to get a filter to AC.
I google searched and I called on Wednesday, guy said Friday and would confirm his availability. I waited Wednesday and Thursday. No message until this morning (Friday) 3:41AM telling me the time frame of their arrival. First usually we need to agree upon each other's availability. I decided to adjust my meeting schedule to accommodate this time. Because I know it is very hard to get an appointment with AC maintenance nowadays. Three guys arrived on time and did the work. Strange thing is they pulled the filter, did not replace the filter as they did not have one. I am thinking they need to at least put it back, but they got rid of it. My husband said he does not know what to buy so we plan to go to Home Depot to buy everything possible trying to find out the right fit
Price- when I called them, I was told maintenance starts at $175 , I paid $345 for their work. I know they cleaned and pumped gas to the unit... I am sure they did other inspections. Not sure if this is reasonable or not.
