All Week Air Conditioning

I called this company to take a look at my central air conditioner which stopped working. They told me it will be a $95 service call which will be used for any parts and repairs if I decide to do it. The technician came and found it was a blown fuse up in the attic. Without asking for my permission he replaced the fuse and then told me it was $275 for parts which is a $6 fuse.

He then told me that I need to replace my thermostat as well which was still working and tried to install a Honeywell thermostat for $450 which is a $150 thermostat and requires plugging in 3 wires. When I questioned why it was so high and that I'll do it myself he tried scaring me into saying what he did won't be covered if I do it myself. I then asked if you install it you'll will you guarantee it won't happen again and he said no so obviously just trying to rip me off.

I then told him I'll go get a Nest because I already have 2 controlling my heating system and he tried telling me that the Nest doesn't control cooling and only does heat so I should get the Honeywell from them. I went and bought a Nest thermostat from Home Depot and installed it in 10 minutes which does control cooling and works perfect with my other 2 Nest thermostats. All in all they'll try to rip you off every step of the way so beware using this company.
