I am indebted to Al-Don! Our heat went out and they were fast to respond and did excellent work. They were honest and were able to fix rather than replace our boiler. Alex even took the time to show me how to properly look after the radiators and boiler. I can’t recommend these guys high enough for the wonderful work they do!

We have been using AL-DON for 17 years. They have always been professional and reliable. But recently, they went above and beyond!! We had and issue with our furnace and between Leslie, Lisa and Alex the matter was resolved, at an affordable price in less than 72 hours. AL-DON Is On It!
No hot water from my tankless water heater on Monday... serviced and repaired with a smile on Tuesday morning.
The service team is always respectful, professional, and has smart solutions for any HVAC issue I've had over the years.
A special shout-out to Leslie-- the smiling voice who answers the phone and gets the wheels rolling when a service call is necessary. She gets bonus points because she laughs at my 'Dad jokes' too! The communication is always excellent-- helps everyone manage expectations.
Needless to say... I am 'tankful' to work with AL-DON. Highly recommended.

As the positive comments suggest, Al-Don does provide quality service and workmanship. However, the negative comments are equally valid. Their mark up on parts should be illegal price gouging. The commenter who mentioned being charged $650 for a $100 part actually got a bargain. I was charged $650 for a part that I could not find anywhere online for more than $20. Also cost over $200 for 15 minutes of labor.

Our AC stopped working yesterday afternoon and I reached out to a friend for the Al-Don info. It was a great decision! Alex was at our home, as promised, by 10:15. He found the issue and gave recommendations on aging parts but didn’t try to put pressure on us, just honest evaluation. He made the fixes and got us up and running really quickly. With such amazing service, we decided to ask about maintenance plans and signed up!! We highly recommend Al-Don and will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

I've been using AL-DON for my heating and cooling maintenance for a couple of years and am always pleased with their service. Technicians are always pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends! They also installed a dehumidifier and a humidifier in my home. Both products were so worth the money spent. My home is so much more comfortable now!

I called Al Don the Saturday before Christmas. I was able to get a technician at my house within a few hours and he was able to diagnose the issue right away. My issue came with price that was going to be charged and the speed of service. The technician wasn’t sure if they had the part at the shop and could not guarantee that the part would be available within a week. Not acceptable when you’re without heat. He was also looking at charging $689 for a draft induction motor. I didn’t proceed to with service with Al Don at that point. I found the part on Amazon for $88 and received within two days. Also, I was able to install it myself in 10 minutes. I wouldn’t suggest these guys for any HVAC services to my friends.

My experience with Al-Don was exceptional! I had them replace my furnace and AC with an all new Hi Efficiency system. Due to my busy work schedule, they agreed to come out and install on the weekend. They were in and out in less then a day. The crew was right on time and did a very good cleanup when they were done. I noticed very small details that were done that went above and beyond our agreement. I would recommend them for any of your heating and cooling needs.

My last experience with Al-Don on 8 Jan 2021 for my HVAC maintenance was totally disappointing. I've had an ongoing furnace maintenance contract (MVP Maintenance Plan) for over 15 years. This time, as the maintenance tech arrived, she wore no COVID protection gear and carried no tools for checking the system. Looking at the furnace she immediately stated "this doesn’t sound good" without any further testing or evidence. To my surprise, she declared that the main blower motor needed replacement, costing $630.00. Based on past trust, I paid the money and shortly thereafter she left without providing a signed inspection and safety report as required by the MVP contract. As I thought about this overnight something didn’t make sense. Firstly, the maintenance was scheduled to be done on the air conditioner not the furnace; secondly, no report was provided and thirdly, I checked the motor and found no problem. I felt I was being ripped-off and scammed, so two days later I canceled the order for the motor, which was refunded. Later, I had a reputable HVAC company check the blower motor and found nothing defective; it’s currently running without any problems. Here is the point: I trusted Al-Don for 15 years and after declaring I replace the blower motor for $630.00, when in fact, nothing was wrong with it, I feel they are untrustworthy to do any further work for me.
In summary, as based on my experience, the maintenance tech:
1)Disregarded St. Louis County guidelines that identifies COVID-19 protection using approved facial masks and associated PPE equipment, as well as Al-Don’s own policies. This put us at risk and potentially endangered my health and that of my family.
2)Was incompetent in identifying properly operating furnace components i.e. blower motors.
3) Refused to leave an inspection and safety report at time of inspection; the inspection was also incomplete.
4) Disregarded and ignored my concerns and refused to honor MVP Plan.
I've provided this review so that you don't end up with a similar unfortunate experience I had with this company. Thank you Al-Don for sending me elsewhere.
