Brent's Heating & Cooling

We've hired Brent's for numerous projects since we moved to the area. They do a good job and return our phone calls very quickly. They fully back up their work. Thanks for all the good work!

While selling our house a home inspector advised we have our boiler check for leaks and to make sure it was functioning. We called Brent's and asked them to do just that nothing else. We knew our boiler was 30+ years old and so did our buyer. When they came out to do our inspection they said our boiler was spewing carbon monoxide at start up and needed to be replaced because parts were unavailable. After getting a second opinion and talking to the gas company it was explained to us that all gas boilers expel a certain amount of carbon monoxide at start up otherwise they would not lit. When testing for carbon monoxide you wait a reasonable amount of time before testing for carbon monoxide. Our boiler was tested by another professional and the gas company and was deemed usable but old. I truly feel Brent's tried to take advantage of our situation and was dishonest on many levels.

1. I had to call the office to have the invoice read to me because it was unreadable.

2. They wrote the invoice in a way that that made our boiler sound unusable by saying it spewed carbon monoxide and was rusty.

3. When I asked for the cheapest replacement possible they quoted a boiler that was NOT the cheapest replacement per the other company we had come in AND the gas company.

4. When I asked to re-word our invoice because they made it sound like our boiler was unusable and that was untrue.. They told me that would not do that because it was morally wrong and untrue.

I guess Brent's Heating and Cooling I would have your office staff look up the definition of morally wrong because lying to sell a new heating system is "morally" wrong.

Do not call them if you are looking for an honest opinion.

Not very reliable. Mitch had an appointment at 9 am to come out to give us an estimate on a new gas house boiler. He never showed up . When I finally called to find out why. He said He didn’t know about it as he hadn’t checked his calendar.
At 4pm when I called him and said that I had been waiting all day for him he smarted off by saying no you haven’t only half a day. When I suggested that he should be checking his calendar He smarted again by saying I shouldn’t be telling him how to run his business Mitch was very rude and unprofessional about the whole thing
I will NEVER call his company again and I will be telling everybody about this experience

Super happy with how things went! Gave me a quote on new furnace verses fixing. I chose to fix the furnace, they came in price wise under their quoted price, and it works great! Happy all around!

Very nice, pleasant young man! Replaced my boiler pump & a couple valves. I was in a panic as there was water on the floor & spurting from an overflow valve... I had no idea what to do but Ethan took care of it... thank you,

In the past I had some work done with Brent's Heating & Cooling when it was still owned by Brent Belich. My experience was painful. New ownership took over in Feburary and the office manager read my review of old Brent's and called me to see if there was anything she could help me resolve. She called Brent Belich and got an ongoing issue I had with him resolved. It was going above and beyond since I wasn't even their customer.

Not sure if he was having a bad day or what but he arrived at my father's home and was very edgy/angry. He argued that our furnace is 10 yrs old 15 at best and was completely malfunctional and there is no way it could possibly ever work correctly. The furnace is the original wood/fueloil/water heat system put in in 1980 and up til recently it has worked beautifully. Nope. He would not accept that fact and therefore said it cannot be fixed but can he can replace with a new one. Taking advantage of an 80yro man with poor hearing. Not cool. The furnace is fixed and running smoothly now Thanks to a different outfit.

My old furnace was horrible and on its last leg for operating. Brent's made it a priority to get it replaced ASAP. They did what they said they were going to do! They were prompt and courteous.

I highly recommend Brents Heating and cooling from Carlton Minnesota… Professional install, courteous technicians, and very thorough!!

Had a problem with air in the lines on the heater boiler. Got same day service. Josh, the tech, was prompt, friendly and professional. Josh identified the problem, fixed it, and it now runs perfectly.
