My grandfather recommended this company to me, as he has been going threw them for years. Ken has done a handful of service calls over the years at my home and also installed a new system. He has NEVER let us down, or tried to scam us. They have ALWAYS done HONEST work at a FAIR price. You can trust these guys and don't have to worry about being scammed . Highly recommended.

Household Heating and Cooling has treated me very well. They always make time to help me out. Ken recently was here to fix a strange noise coming from my less than a year old furnace. After taking the furnace apart and replacing the motor, at no cost to me, the sound was gone. John and Ken are courteous and professional, and always clean up after they are done. I highly recommend them.

I was overcharged by this company and they led me to believe that I needed another furnace. They went out to a store to get a new control panel. The panel part was listed on the receipt as costing $395.00. With this new control panel they were suppose to have fixed it but it went out again in a few days (Total cost $530). I called then again and they came and charged me another $99 as a service call and again said I needed another furnace. A second person was recommended and when he looked at it, he said a piece from the control panel was not attached. This second person went and brought another new control panel and on the receipt the cost was $102.00. He fixed the furnace and said that my furnace was good for another at least 2 years. I was SCAMMED and overcharged. My bill was $630.00 . I am owed at least $400.00. I have used Home Advisor recommendations before and have been pleased.

I called Household Heating & Cooling and was able to get same day service. John & Kenny were both helpful and professional. They explained everything in detail and were patient with the many questions I had. They did a great job with the installation. I would definitely recommend this company. We have used them in the past and will use them again for our future needs.

I am a first-time home owner in the Livonia Public School district/City of Westland, Michigan. I didn't realize how important it is to have a good, trustworthy HVAC company, until my heater broke.

Our furnace broke on a Sunday, during a blizzard. I called several companies, most of which didn't answer and never returned my call. Household Heating & Cooling was the only company that could come for repairs within my desired timeframe, and made theirself available immediately.

When I called, the Owner answered and he even tried troubleshooting over the phone to avoid having to charge me for coming out on a Sunday, to save me money.

The Household Heating & Cooling Service Engineer/Contractor was very professional and knowledgeable with many years of experience and expertise in the field. He explained in detail what the problem was and provided solutions. He made the process easy. He also explained in advance the potential costs. He was able to quickly find the part we needed for a very old unit AND he gave us a great price. #economical

I also would like to note that in addition to diagnosing the problem, he also checked the rest of the components of the unit to ensure the entegrity of the appliance itself, before recommending replacing that part. I now feel good about our furnace.

John provided great suggestions, communicated with me throughout the process so I always knew what was going on and how long to expect the process to take.

The repair appointment was fast! They arrived when scheduled and fixed my unit in less than 1 hour. He showed me the new parts and even thoroughly cleaned the entire unit after replacing the bad component.

They even cleared our snow and ice from my front porch before they left! (A large mound had accumulated from the drift during the blizzard, and they had to chisel it out) Household Heating & Cooling definitely goes above and beyond. They will forever be our local HVAC company.

I am 100% satisfied with the service and look forward to using them in the future.

I have had household heating for at least 10 years do work for me, John is is very friendly and knowable he always gave me great service and saved me money on repairs compaired to other company's , I called for estiments. Last time he was out to fix something he did other work for me at no charge, becuse he was there and wanted everything to work properly.

My heat wasn’t working, called this place and I got great service for a very reasonable price. The two guys I spoke to, John and Ken, were very nice. Thank god they came out right away because of it being so cold. They fixed it and helped me with everything I needed. Highly recommend.
