Matt came to our house and not only fixed our heating issues he made us feel like family. His prices are very reasonable. His work was top quality and I continue to refer him to my friends and family. I was told he is going to have a class to help people understand how to determine when you need to call an expert like Matt. He also explained how to know a good contractor. Thanks Matt. I'm often skeptical of reviews that are all 5 stars. Well, I decided to put my cynicism aside and trust for once - and am I ever glad I did. Matt is a complete professional. Highly knowledgeable, honest, happy to explain the situation, and incredibly conscientious about ensuring the system is working right. The pricing is very reasonable - but on top of that, he did everything in his power to save us money and do the least expensive repair necessary. Plus, he's just a great guy. I have a new go-to heating and cooling company. Simply cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you to the previous reviewers for making the time to post.

I have used A-1 for years and love the prompt services and fair prices. Matt even helped me out with a water heater replacement when the home warranty service wasn't offering much help. He intervened and was able to obtain and install a new water heater for a very fair/reasonable co-pay.

He does my twice yearly checks on my AC and furnace and I feel that my systems have been well maintained. I know if I need to replace either one, I would not go any place but with A-1.

This is an outstanding company. Matt just came to my house to look at my furnace and was able to quickly fix it and give me advice on water heaters. I can not stress how easy Matt is to work with. Our furnace stopped working on a Sunday morning this winter (and we have three small kids) and Matt dropped what he was doing and rushed to figure out the issue to make sure my family had heat. We recently had our central air conditioner stop working and called Consumers Energy to come out since we had the Appliance Service Plan. We did not get the news we wanted...our compressor was bad and we needed a new unit. The company Consumers sent out quoted a ridiculous price, so I got 2 more bids. After searching Google, I called Matt at A-1 and he was fair, prompt and courteous. He worked hard to make sure our new unit was in place as soon as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about his service and great work ethic. I will be referring my friends and family with HVAC service needs to A-1. Thanks Matt!

Matt come out to diagnose an issue with our A/c unit and quickly discovered it needed to be recharged. Very up front and honest about everything without eye gouging prices. He even came on short notice ( within the hour) which is surprising this guy isn't always busy! The best! Would highly recommend him to anyone
