Called Vredevoogd and spoke with Karen the receptionist. After finding out they not only offer a military discount, but after her friendly, and professional demeanor she mentioned their maintenance program which would 'bypass' the service fee and include up to a full pound of freon recharge. Really, No brainer! Enlightening to know there are such professional companies not looking for quick buck and to run. In fact instead of having to wait for two weeks out for service, was scheduled the next day first thing with a bunch of wedding guests arriving to spend w/ family for the upcoming several days. Jason (pro tech) was prompt, professional and while performing my central air tuneup kept informed of each phase and upon completion informing me of potential issues with my aging system, with no upsells or mandatory need nows. My family fully trusts Vredevoogd with maintaining my central air and hvac unit fully 100% - 5 star service, affordability, and treated as a true important customer.

The crew was on time, friendly, and did the work quickly. They went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the installation. I would recommend them to anyone.

The technician did a good job. He found a part that failed on my heater and it is still under manufacture warranty. However his company wants to charge me almost $600/hr for labor to install the part. Claiming that $500/hr of that is for a warranty on their labor and they do not offer their service separate from that warranty. They want me to prepay for service that I may never need at a rate of four times what the labor charge is for one service. To get my money back on this the part will need to fail 4 times over the next 3 years. So either they think that I’m stupid or they have such low expectations for the quality of their parts and labor that this fee is worth it. Beware.
