Furnace went out on first really cold day of the season. I called A-OK. They were swamped with calls, but agreed to send a tech between 3 and 5pm. Korey arrived at 7pm after handling 14 calls ahead of us. He was apologetic that no one had called to notify of the delay, and he quickly diagnosed a bad ignitor and drove back to the warehouse to get the right replacement. Had everything working by 8pm. Richie (the owner) was very upset that I had not been called earlier to notify that they were behind schedule, and he insisted on giving me a large discount even though I said it was not necessary. I have dealt with A-Ok before and this just confirms my earlier experience that they are conscientious, skillful and srcupulously honest. I will definitely call them again in the future.

Ask for Rich! This man offered honest service with confidence and a joke or two. He was quick, professional, respectful and the offered the best laughs you could get from a stranger. Overall a cool guy, Rich is the real deal Mechanic at A-OK Mechanical.

Greater Lansing MI - Very reasonable in price. Professional in presenting a solution. Accomplished installation as promised and all is working well. We installed central air in a house that never had it. We recommend AOK for any Heating or Air Condition work.

They were unprofessional and incompetent.
They mis-diagnosed/didn't diagnose the problem.
Had us purchase a new water heater when we didn't even need one.

DO NOT HIRE!

After 3 visits to our home, we were told that we needed a new water heater. They came to install the new water heater (a cheaper, smaller version of the one that we had) and it still didn't solve the problem. At that point, it was determined that it was Consumers Energy (not enough gas pressure) that needed to be called. So we had wasted an entire week and taken 3 days (between my husband and I) off of work to be sold a water heater that we didn't even need. Consumers came out and we then had hot water almost immediately.

We spoke with the owner, Rich, and he agreed to let us keep the new water heater without charge.

I've used these folks a few times for electrical repair and furnace inspection. The electrician went out of his way to make some quick repairs to my basement wall (just filled some cracks) for NO charge! Yes, he also did his electrical work well.

Furnace inspection also went well, but their subcontractor did not file with Code Compliance right away, which presented some problems. Still, I have used them again, and find their rates lower than many, and service is good. Recently they've had coupons on Angie's List which have given me some great bargains. Check them out!

Air conditioner was leaking, we called and received service within hours. Rich, the owner, came out and had us diagnosed, up and running, within minutes. We live outside of Lansing, but he kindly waved the travel fee. Rich is incredibly knowledgeable, punctual, and professional. We will be recommending AOK to everyone, and will be repeat customers!! Thank you again!

They will scam any customer they can. Sent their UNLICENSED guy out and told them to shut off equipment for an apartment complex leaving over 100 people without hot water, simply so they could double bill to come out again to fix what they did the first time.

To their response WE went out in the middle of the night to fix their screw up with the apartment complex. Took pictures while we were there of the order vs what the customer wanted.

I just want customers to know the truth about the people they are bringing into their homes. Scammers.

I had the whole incident prepared to post, given it's a holiday and we are already going to suffer because of the neglect performed by the repair man which came out. I would just say this, the repairman came out was not very Knowledge, seem to have take basic steps, broke our equipment even more and now we are without for Christmas, don't hire.
