Quick and professional service! Kyle and David were wonderful. They were able to troubleshoot the problem and fix it quickly. The also took care of the other stuff I needed done quickly.

We called to get an estimate on a NG generator for our house and they responded extremely quickly and set up an appointment right away. Andy K showed up right on time, did a thorough job, and explained everything in great detail. They have great financing options. We're very happy with the service, and we're excited to get the install of the 26KW Generac completed!

I believe this company is engaged in fraud.
I called them to install a manual transfer switch to hook up my portable generator.
They asked for a photo of my electrical box, which I provided, and agreed to send technicians out for a $99 fee.
When the technicians arrived, they told me that they needed information off my electrical box to provide a quote. So they took a photo that was identical to the one I already provided—they did not require any other information.
After entering this information into their system, they quoted me a range of prices. The cheapest was $3500. The most expensive was over $11,000! For a manual transfer switch.
To understand how crazy this estimate was, I was recommended to their company from my brother, who had a transfer switch installed on his property a couple of years ago for around $600.
So naturally, I declined services. But, they still wanted to charge a $99 service fee to come out and take a picture I already sent them.
I think their scheme is to overcharge, knowing clients will not pay, then pocketing an easy $100 driving around and essentially doing nothing.
I got a call from one of their employees trying to collect the $100, and I asked if I could get the $11,000+ quote in writing—just so that I had a record of it.
She said she would not provide me with *their own quote* unless I paid the $99 fee. Does that sound like a company doing legitimate business?

Ultimately, I did not use the company after they quoted me 3x-5x a reasonable price for the project. That said, they still charged me a $99 service fee. The would not provide an itemized quote. Knowing enough the the project requires ~$400 in parts and is a 2-3 hour job for an individual, they quoted $2300-$4500 for the project. I believe their business model is fish for naive customers and collect $99 from the ones that know better. I should have required and itemized quote and not used them when they require $99 to effectively provide a bad quote. Learn from my mistake and steer clear.

We contacted VanderHyde to repair a sump pump that had malfunctioned and caused flooding in our home. They were able to come on time and install a new pump. However after only 2 weeks the pump failed, our basement flooded again. It was not worth using insurance again as the basement had already been cleared out. We had to fight and complain to get them to move us up priority as the pump they installed had failed and caused flooding. I had to dry out and clean my basement on my own dime. The pump was replaced under warranty but vanderhyde did not offer restitution for any of the damages to my basement. A few months later the pump they installed failed again. When I called the dispatch they told me they dont do plumping repair over non-buisness hours and that I could not contact anyone about a warranty until the upcoming Monday by which point my basement would have flooded. Needless to say I contacted a different plumbing service that responded within the hour and charged me half of VanderHyde’s price for initial instillation. I would not recommend using this company for sump pump repair.

I've been really disappointed with Vande Hyde. At this point I have spent $866 and still have a broken water heater. I wish that this company would make it right and offer me a refund for the service that did not fix the problem. Instead they say that it will take an additional $1000 to fix. Other companies are quoting the work for half the price they charge. Vande Hyde please make it right with us and refund the money. I paid you to fix the water heater and you did not do what you promised.

Do NOT use this company. They were unethical in how they treated me for service that was not completed and their technician lied on the invoice (which I never received). I will not recommend them to anyone! Tom from Vanderhyde Service was out to clear a lateral clog in our main drain to the street. While an effort was made to clear out the clog, only 75 feet of pipe was searched for a clog and was unable to find it. He didn’t have longer line to go the full 100 feet to the main sewer connection, however I was invoiced for 100ft of snaking and charged the full $632 service cost as if the work had been completed. To make matters worse, he recommended I use a different company who actually had the right equipment rather than going back to his own company to see if someone else in their fleet had 100ft line. I’ve heard good things about this company before, however my experience has not been positive. I expected more from a locally owned family business.
