Hi, I live in California and have a vacant home for sale in Flint. I called Terry Allen to have a tec. go out and check the thermostat because it was difficult to for my agent to operate. Tec. was on time and very helpful and showed my agent how to adjust it. Then checked out the heater. He found the heater burners were clogged with a lot of dust, hairs and debris. He did a super job on the cleaning. He was very professional and only charged me for the cleaning on the heater and waved the trip fee. How great is that! When I called to have the stems replaced on my tub faucet, so they knew it was a pluming call. The service guy showed up and had no pluming parts on his truck. He was at my house for a total of 10 minutes, said he had to run back to the shop to see if they had the parts. He was gone for about an hour, when he got back he said it would be $446.00 to replace the stems and handles( you can get a whole new faucet for $100) . When I told him no thank you I was charged a $90 service call. My question would be what service did I pay for. The guy was there less then 10 minutes, . So I paid for him to drive back to his shop when they knew it was a pluming call, and not have any pluming parts on the truck and then to give me a ridiculous price. I DO NOT RECOMEND EVER USING THIS COMPANEY !!!
I called Terry Allen and within 4 hours they were out to my home. From the moment I called Miss Danielle was extremely kind hearted, the technician Joe that came out was very informative he made me feel knowledgeable about what was wrong with my furnace and what was needed to fix it. He even checked it over with a fine tooth comb to make sure there was nothing else. From waking up to no heat, & from beginning to end, the manager on duty, both of the ladies that took my call, and the technician made a sad situation, a not so bad one! I am grateful๐ # This was my 2nd time using them. I'll be back! Well not too soon I hope!๐๐
We are so very happy with Terry Allen. Not only did they come in a short window of time put included the trip charge with their service. Another company was going to share us 475.00 more than they did as well as replacing two parts not need. If you want the best service ever call Terry Allen!
Tech came out and said he couldn't take care of problem. Charged us $89 service fee and recommended American Sewer. American Sewer came out the next day and fixed the problem but also said Terry Allen Plumbing could have fixed it. Urgg. Only fortunate part is that when confronted, they said they would tear up our ck pmt.
Total rip off, had them out to look at a heat issue at a property of mine. $69 service call is reasonable, so I expected the service rates to match. The issue was simply a bad thermostat on the wall. They wanted $150 to install a cheap $5 thermostat.
Simply put, service rates are outrageous and they lure you in with reasonable service call.
This company is very unprofessional. After repetitive calling I finally received my quote. (1st RED FLAG.). I hired them to do some plumbing in my home. I went & paid them the down payment immediately. My check was cashed in April & the communication was delayed. They were denied the permit because it was for rough plumbing only. This company didn't call to tell me this. (2nd RED FLAG) The Building Inspector called to tell me. I called to see how we could move forward. I was told by Walter oh we can do the finish. I would just need to know the items we would be installing just email it to me. I asked what exactly would I need to send you? He stated the fixtures. I sent an email with the dimensions of the tub the type of sink & toilet & shower. Never received an email back after asking if it was correct. I called every other day & would get the same spiel. He's not in would you like to leave a message. I left several messages still no call back. I called on 5/12/21 & was told to call him in the morning around 9am he doesn't have anything scheduled til 1pm. So I called & was told he was out. I became frustrated because now I feel like I'm being lied to & being spun. Walter calls about 45min later & tell me that they can't do the finish plumbing because I didn't fill out the list correctly. What list? You didn't tell me about a list. Oh yea we need the item numbers that you want installed. He said no such thing. He lied because I told them rude females that was answering the phone that this is unprofessional he's not returning any of my calls or emails & have my money. I said that's totally fine. When can I pick up my check. He said it's ready now call & someone will bring it out. I would not use this company.
Had terrible experience with them. Got a quote and eventually went with them to replace my boiler. Every step of the process was botched. They didn't have all the necessary parts for the installation. They forgot to install some parts. First night the boiler did not work. They never had the installation inspected. Had to have another contractor come out to inspect their work. Other contractor gave me a long list of all the issues wrong with installation. Had Terry Allen come back out, they still did not fix all the problems. Had to give up because of the cost. Never use this company for boiler installs.
Been going there for 35 plus years. Doors were lock, Sign on the door requested that you call with specific parts for pick up. Only found a nice lady that was walking out back who worked there whom also informed me that it was phone order only and there was no plumber on hand for advice and that I needed to have specific parts that was needed. I understand we are under Covid precautions, however there are many other places that were open that day during the week and was more than helpful with resolving my issue. I thanked them and told them I appreciated thier willingness to help, their reply "That's what we're here for ". They also had heard from other customers about Terry,s not letting people in. They also acknowledged that everyone isn't a plumber and sometimes need help. I give one star for the nice lady that tried to help.
Done business with Terry Allen for a few decades or more. Always did what was expected. Always cleaned up afterward and got the job done. Not sure what OP are reviewing, but I've never had any problems with them and I've had 2 ACs installed in 2 houses, a sewer line/tiles replaced, and sewer line fixed inside (not to mention a few small jobs) Cost is high as with other plumbers, but competitive. Customer support has been good to great the few times I needed it.
