Extremely wonderful experience having Randazzo install a new furnace and AC system. Prices were very competitive and everyone was a pleasure to work with. The installation crew, Dennis, Joe, and Wayne, were extremely knowledgeable and I could see the care they put into their work. Thank you! Highly recommended!
Our old furnace and A/C system were 30+ years old. We found Randazzo to be very professional and compared well out ahead of the other contractors (2x) we had look at the job. Starting with the quote, right through to the new HVAC system installation, they were well organized, on time, prepared, and did everything that needed to be done including cleaning up after themselves. Township inspection was a breeze. We've been running the system now for over a month and we are very happy we spent our money on a system from Randazzo.
Johnny Kelly and his team did a great job installing my new furnace and a/c unit. They were on time, professional and did a great job cleaning up. I appreciated the fact that they walked me through everything after they were done including all of the preventive maintenance I should perform. Thanks again!
If I could advise anyone not go replace their old AC and Furnace unit for the lennox “Smart Hub Icomfort” POS I would. However, I’m not an HVAC guy so what do I know.
What I do know, the old furnace and AC unit my parents had in their home for 20+ years didn’t require half the up keep the “new” units do. The combo units were purchased in 2020 and my mother has nothing but problems with BOTH. Every summer there’s been an issue with the AC. Whether the AC is set too low (<68°) resulting in a “freeze”, the coils need to be cleaned, or something going on with the thermostat (which had to be replaced already).
My mothers heat had some problems this winter and they came out ~ 5 times ultimately to remove the GFCI(advised by a manager). We were told the humidity was too high in the basement and kept shutting off the furnace and this was their only option. To my understanding, that GFCI is a fail safe? In the event my mothers house burned down because of this decision. I’d imagine this is some sort of liability for randazzo.
This leaves me wondering, what happens when the service warranty is up? After having nothing but problems with these units it’s going to cost $10k in service calls. I wish it were better but over all terrible experience with Lennox and I’m indifferent about Randazzo. My mom feels like she’s being held hostage by these units. In order to get someone out to service these units it takes a day or two, sometimes a week. Imagine it’s the third week of July and it’s 90° not a great time to come home without AC… although manageable she didn’t pay $10k for these inconsistencies.
I get the feeling that if this weren’t under some sort of service warranty my mother would be SOL.
I’ll be reaching out to get copies of her service records.
Brian Bennet was so professional & handled work in a timely manner. Definitely took time to figure out the problem & had no hesitation to get the job done. Again his service was perfect & immaculate.
The person visited my house was very unprofessional. He ignored what I was saying there were some problem in the AC. He could not diagnose anything about AC system.
Today I had Randazzo out to install a new Mitsubishi Mini-Split system in my home. Justin showed up this morning exactly when I was told he would. He introduced himself and his team members and asked permission to walk the house to get a lay out of everything. Before they did any work they laid down floor coverings to keep all my hardwood and carpet clean. They got down to business and didn’t look back. Talk about hustle. I have had a lot of work done in my home over the years but nothing like what Randazzo did for me today. Justin went above and beyond what was asked of him to ensure my Mini-Splits would look the best they could. My main concern was the outdoor unit and the lines running on the side of my house but the way Justin installed everything it’s honestly hard to even notice everything is there. After the install was complete Justin and his crew made 3-4 passes to make sure everything was cleaned up and to my satisfaction. That was, for me, the most impressive part. Working with Justin was Jacob, Andrew, Keith, and 2 Dans. Every last one of them treated my home and family as if it were their own. After everything was done Jacob took a few minutes to show me how to clean my filters and how to control my new system. I don’t even think I’ll need the instruction Manuel after his help. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to hire Randazzo for this job. The only bad thing they did was set the bar unattainably high for any company that will come and do work in my house in the future. No company will even get close to their professionalism, expertise and attention to detail. Truly impressive.
From the salesman Mario to the 2 installers Pete and Geoff they were knowledgeable and informative. They walked me through the details of the the furnace, air unit and the digital thermostat. I was very impressed with everything from the sales to the install they made it very easy. Definately would recommend Randazzo to my friends and family.
Very poor customer service. The sales person came to my house for an estimate for A/C only. He was very aggressive in pushing for both Furnace and A/C and promised that he will match price of other installer. He aggressively wanted to see competitor quotes before he submitted his own quote which I reluctantly agreed to. He provided 4 options and made an effort to reduce price. Subsequently, I called him and asked for a few efficiency improvement features on the A/C option and he quoted a price over the phone. Subsequently, he increased the price and when I asked him for the reason for price increase, he replied back that Randazzo does not negotiate and if I wanted to cancel the contract. He seemed very anxious to cancel the contract and the sudden "we don't negotiate" attitude.
Also, he missed including some of efficiency improvement features quoted by other installers and made a point of talking down other competitors.
I had a difficult time trying to go back to another installer since I had missed earlier installation dates from that installer. I would have given Randazzo 0 stars, but decided to give it one star since the salesman spotted a water leak in basement while he was in the house (not related to HVAC installation).
John Kelly and Geoffrey’s basaj from Farmington worked so hard for hours to replace our furnace and new A/C unit. They were very professional and worked extremely hard all day. My family and I are very pleased with these two guys from Randazzos.
