The guys were nice and helpful. Cleaned up after themselves and did a good job.

As a rental property owner in Baltimore City this company came through for me when I needed it most. My AC unit went out on me during the dog days of August right when a brand new tenant was about to move in. They had a new system up and running for me in 2 days. Excellent customer service and very reasonable prices considering the work being done.

Maryland Heating & Air sent out Bill and he was amazing. I apprieciated the way he communicated with me on his arrival time. Once here he was very professional as he listened to my issue and concern. He was able to solve my problem and provide me with helpful tips in order to keep my system up and running smoothly.

This is a totally professional (and friendly) outfit from start to finish. My heat pump was over 25 years old and the control board and transformer inside died. A technician (Dan, I think) came over on Mothers' Day morning and confirmed the problem. There was no sales pressure (like some of the bigger names) - he was willing to look for a likely hard-to-get part if I wanted to go that route.

I knew the system was due, and asked them to go ahead with a quote. The next morning, I had a reasonable quote and told them to schedule me.

The crew arrived yesterday morning. Three guys, and the name of the lead escapes me. They were friendly, professional, and respectful. Those poor guys had to custom fit the new system into a tight space, and I heard not one complaint from them all day.

They encountered an odd problem, not their fault, and they stuck with it until I had cold air blowing out the vents (it was warm and sticky yesterday). It was easily a 10 hour day for two of them. Even though they finished in the evening, the lead took the time to show me everything and answer all my questions.

The install work was a piece of art. Piping and cables were run cleanly. The ductwork was well fitted and taped up well. They strapped the pipes from the heat pump against the house to prevent rattling. These guys had an eye for details while installing.

The next day their manager, James (remembered his name!) came out to inspect his guys' work, see if I had questions, and topped up the refrigerant in the system. Again, he didn't leave until he was sure everything was good and my questions were answered.

I am completely happy with everything and will recommend this company to everyone -- especially those who are concerned about sales pitches and being taken. These guys don't do that.

Maryland heating and air is a extremely professional company. Seth the salesman/tech who came to our house was very knowledgeable and friendly. We’ve had problems with our air conditioning and heating for past 20 years. Clean air who originally installed new ductwork and air conditioning did a horrible job 20 years ago. We were basically “heating and air conditioning our attic for past twenty years” Seth said. Five different companies came to our house for quotes for the job. Seth from Maryland heating and air was the only one that went through our entire house thoroughly and addressed every problem/issue. He also listened to us and suggested exactly what we wanted, which was a 0° heat pump and AC to get off buying oil. They installed all new ductwork and Bosch heat and air conditioning 0° heat pump system. Everything is high-tech and automated so we don’t have to do anything. System is very efficient and wonderful! The entire installation team are also very friendly and professional. Big thank you to James, Trent, Galbert, Pong, and Seth! We also signed up for their service plan which is very affordable and I highly recommend using this company to anyone.

We had put off replacing our system for a few years. Our neighbor used MD Heating & Air and was very happy with them. They met with us soon after we called, returned an estimate with a very good price almost immediately and scheduled work soon after that. They were very responsive to our questions and concerns. The installers were very personable and respectful. We highly recommend this company.

UPDATE: After a long, annoying battle with my home warranty company, we decided to forgo getting the work done through them because we decided we would rather go with quality work than settle for cheap, low quality work. So we got the replacement of our entire system through Maryland Heating and Air. They were, of course, still wonderful. Very professional, thorough, and hard working. They even found another, unrelated problem with our sewer line while in our basement and pointed it out to us so that we would be aware! I'm less happy that I have yet another thing broken in my house that needs to be fixed, but really grateful that they pointed it out so that we could take care of it before it gets worse. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate Maryland Heating & Air. I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to complete my repair/replace with them because my home warranty (1.4 star rated) company required we use their contractor (2.6 star rated). Maryland Heating & Air were really just wonderful for what we did do with them. They deserve every 4.9 stars that they are currently rated. They are punctual, professional, they care about really making sure they have fully investigated the situation to know exactly what the problem is, if there is one. They showed to me and explained what was wrong with our air conditioning after an exhaustive 3.5 hour dedicated investigation. Contrast this with the 20 minutes the home warranty contractor took to poorly investigate and determine there was NOTHING WRONG and no mechanical repair needed. Then when my claim was subsequently denied by my home warranty, Maryland Heating & Air were kind enough to send me a report of their findings and estimate of needed repairs so that I could submit that as a "Second opinion" to my home warranty company for an appeal. I don't know the outcome of the appeal yet, but the trouble I have had with my home warranty company and the contractor they sent to me just emphasized to me even more how wonderful Maryland Heating & Air are. I feel like they care about people, about work ethic and hard work when it is necessary, and about being good, reliable and knowledgeable in what they do. So I wanted to make sure that was said. We received estimates from several HVAC companies for a new Heat Pump. Maryland Heating & Air did not only have the best competitive price, but they were super friendly, HONEST and had our new yet installed within a week of placing the order.

They were also the only company who told us that our old unit which we purchased 13 years ago was installed incorrectly. We had several companies out for maintenance over the years and no one ever informed us that it was not installed correctly, which is why it was not functioning properly.

We will definitely be using them for now on and highly recommend them.
