Con: Their Hourly Rate is $160. When I called in, they told me $40 for a quarter hour. But I did not hear the "quarter" part for sure. Find that out when I get the invoice.
Con: They want to charge $280 for a $13 parts.
Pro: They send a crew out the same day and fixed problem right away, and do not wast time while on job.

A friend referred me to United Service Specialists when our AC broke unexpectedly on a 98 degree day when we were hosting a large party. The dispatcher was super friendly and she assured me that they would be able to schedule a technician to come out same day and fix my AC in no time. That’s exactly what happened — Carlos came to my home and was able to diagnose the issue quickly and saved the day!! He was extremely professional and provided excellent service. I will absolutely use USS again for routine service so hopefully I can prevent further issues!

A very professional job. Did exactly as committed in a timely fashion.Despite the holidays they installed the new 50 gallon
gas water Heater including all montgomery County code required upgrades and a very thorough job. We will recommend them without any hesitation.

Our extremely old hot water heater finally began leaking one night (why is it always at night?) and after a recommendation from our neighbor who also used United for their hot water heater, we called the next morning. Their customer service was top notch: they fit us in for a service call, and the plumber who responded, Marvin, agreed that the unit was far too old to repair (25+ years - it did its job well). He gave us an estimate for replacement, explained the hookup we had that required a specific type of heater, and ordered the unit. His explanation was detailed and specific, and the installation happened the next day. It took only a few hours, and the work is superb: new unit, new pipes around it, a new on/off switch for the water going into the heater, and another detailed, careful explanation of how to care for the new heater, plus instructions on draining it, and reading the different sensors on the side. He also installed a pan below so that if there is another leak it won't reach our carpeting. I highly and enthusiastically recommend United Service Specialists for hot water heater replacement and am relieved to have found a reliable and excellent plumbing company.

United Service Specialist were great, Brendan, Matt and his team were very professional and polite. They showed up on time and did a excellent job on replacing our furnace and air conditioning system with without any issues or mistakes. everything turned out the way My wife and I expected. We will continue to use United Service Specialist in the future. Thanks to you guys again, you all were great.

Our air conditioning was struggling in the midst of a nasty heat wave. The team at United Service Specialists was unbelievably responsive. A tech arrived before 8 am and stayed until the issue was resolved. The problem was analyzed, the necessary part located, and the issue was resolved. We truly appreciated the hard-working and personable technician who was careful to keep us safe during Covid. We highly recommend United Service Specialists!

United Service Specialists Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing has done fantastic work for us! We've been having issues with our toilet for about two years now; several others have attempted to resolve the issue to no avail. United Service Specialists set us up with Marvin for an appointment for the very next day! The work done by Marvin was professional and efficient. Our toilet is working better than ever now!

Marvin and Carlton, wearing masks, arrived on time. They diagnosed the problem quickly. M and C were courteous and professional. Also, Mishal, I'm not sure of the spelling, is the type of person who is needed to answer the phone for a business. Her tone and attitude make the first impression for customers. She also was friendly and professional. I will definitely recommend USS to others.

Very responsive. Came and diagnosed the leak in our French drain off the A/C unit. Plumber Marvin told us how we could fix it and connected us with his HVAC colleagues to do it for us (newborn and toddler at home make even minor repairs a challenge). They’ve made a loyal customer out of us!

Snippy and unprofessional.

We had them come out for an initial estimate for a gas conversion. Ultimately we went with another service provider whose estimate was lower. When we needed additional work done, we reached back out for an estimate which was scheduled. Morning of the appointment, we get a phone call from Bill who was very unprofessional. He definitely had an attitude on the phone questioning about our previous project. He canceled our appointment saying he is not in the estimation business. It's unfortunate because I had positive impression from our initial estimate which is why I reached back out again. I would not recommend them for anything now as their true colors and emotional instability came to view.

Definitely recommend going with anyone else if you have the option.
