We were very impressed with their professionalism. They answered right away, came on time, and had great features like text confirmation, notifications and GPS tracking so that you knew when your technician was on the way, and e-signature so paperwork was painless. Troy was unbelievably nice and knowledgeable and was an absolute pleasure to work with. We have worked with so many companies to try to fix our furnace but they were rude, late, misdiagnosed problems and overcharged. We will be sure to contact Sledge the next time we need HVAC help.

This company is the WORST!!! My AC went out. I made an appt. They rescheduled my appointment several times. I made arrangements to be home and noone came. I called and they finally made it out. Then they took several days to submit the diagnosis to my warranty company. When I called the main number to inquire about the delay. He advised he left the office for the day and had no further information. I would AVOID them at all cost. Not professional and not timely ....

The technician Larry showed up exactly on time and waited patiently as we got ourselves together because you NEVER expect technicians to be on time but he was. After he enteted the house and he went right to work and he finished the job within the half hour. Because he'd diagnosed the issues earlier which made the return visit very convenient for us.

Tony, Josh and their team were professional and prompt. Love the text and link to track the tech's ETA, didn't have to wait around or call to find out when the tech would arrive. They worked with our Home Warranty company to repair/replace our air handler in a timely manner.

I recommend these guys to everyone.

Once again great service!!! Technician Patrick was prompt and efficient. Previous work done, by somebody & sons Clinton, MD, was shady. Patrick took the time to go above and beyond, redoing the the wiring previously done. Even went and got the replacement parts needed to fix the previous work that was done. Service time was longer than expected but had my system up and running properly prior to leaving. He even took the time to properly explain and show me the parts and the original problem and how it should've been fixed in the first place. Sledge total Protection was awful with the exception of being within their time frame, the service was horrible. Came in to fix air conditioning unit and then I ended up with a leak to my hot water heater. The supervisors are horrible and do not know how to talk to customers. I should say this I am very intelligent since the supervisor actually said I wasn’t. I can tell you this I know when a unit is not working properly. The worst company ever..

"[Service, Price, Timeliness, Technician] During the deep freeze my heat went down and I contacted HMS who initially referred me to a company in DC. They closed the request which was really disturbing. When I called in to express my disappointment they referred me to Sledge Total Protection. Given their schedule they were able to come first thing on Monday morning. The problem was diagnosed, the system needed a replacement part, the part was ordered on the spot. On the next afternoon (Tuesday) I was advised that the part had come in. We coordinated with my schedule and by 4 pm the problem was redolved. Bottomline: less than 30 hours, the problem was addressed to our satisfaction, through their software we were notified when they would arrive and could see the vehicle in route through another software, professionalism from dispatcher, service attendant, telephone calls to schedule a follow up with me are the areas that impressed me. When you need help and a company can provide that help in a professional manner...I take the time out to express my appreciation. Absolutely on point and highly recommended. Thanks."

The technician Larry was very professional and knowledgeable of the equipment and install . Mrs Tooks, that handled the transaction, spent time informing me of the different UV lights for me to select.

We had an issue with a furnace that was installed by Sledge. I was upset initially but the owner took the time to personally came to our home to explain and apologize for the mistake. I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend them.

They incorrectly diagnosed my problem and tried to sell me a $50 part (that I didn't even need) for almost $700. Luckily I have a friend with HVAC connections who told me I was getting ripped off. But I still wasted $130 on the service charge.

I posted this review on Yelp as well and the owner replied nitpicking the prices I mentioned and telling me I was wrong. He totally missed the point and seems like he has a poor understanding of customer service.

EDIT: The exact price I mentioned wasn't the point. It was a $50 part and he tried to sell it for several hundred dollars - and it wasn't even the right part! The owner is missing the point entirely. Also, the gas was NOT off. It was on, but the flow was bad. This company made a mistake and refuses to own up to it. The owner does not understand how to provide good customer service.
