Best option in New Orleans

Coolmaster is the best air conditioning and heating company I’ve found in New Orleans, and I have tried quite a few. I’ve been using Coolmaster for all my heating and a/c needs---both for my own home and tenant units---for about five years. These are the benefits: extremely competitive prices; professionalism; great communication and reliability; and last but not least, they are authorized dealers/servicers for most, if not all of the best brands (e.g., Lennox).

It was tough finding a good a/c company here. New Orleans is hot. And when the a/c goes out, it’s a household emergency: you don’t have time to get quotes, comparison shop, and carefully weigh your options. So for years, I either paid too much or received terrible service from companies that knew I needed the problem solved immediately. I tried a number of companies which I won’t name, but there was always a problem. Some offered great prices, but they were completely unreliable---didn’t show up when they said they would, communicate with me to let me know what was going on, or they weren’t authorized dealers. Others provided decent service, but their prices were much too high. Some—and I don’t say this lightly—completely misrepresented the problems and tried to sell me repairs (and even products) that I didn’t need. So I kept looking for the right a/c company.

After years of frustration, I finally discovered Coolmaster. I can only speak to my own experience. But Coolmaster has been significantly better than the other companies I tried. They provide what every customer should have a right to expect.

1. Professionalism: When Russell at Coolmaster says they are showing up on Monday at 10, they show up on Monday at 10. Leaving work isn’t easy for me. I need to plan for it. He returns calls, does what he says he is going to do, and keeps me updated regarding what’s going on, how long things will take, etc.

2. Competitive prices: Coolmaster’s prices are consistently competitive. I’ve obtained quotes for several repairs and replacements. The only places I’ve found with lower prices are places that take literally days to respond to calls and/or aren’t authorized dealers.

3. Coolmaster is an authorized dealer on top brands: This is essential to me. Don’t get me wrong. I love hunting on the internet for great deals on well-reviewed products from no-name brands and trying them out. I’ve discovered amazing bargains that way. But I would never do that with A/C equipment. I personally use equipment from Lennox. Why? Living without a/c in the South is horrible. And all a/c equipment needs service and repair, eventually. I need high quality equipment manufactured by a large established company that stands behind them. (A Lennox mini-split unit failed recently that was still under warranty. They replaced the entire unit and gave me a new warranty). Replacement parts are available. Servicemen know how to repair them. And you don’t have to call somewhere in China to contact the company. For me, it’s a no-brainer. Coolmaster is an authorized dealer. So your unit will be repaired using oem parts and hiring them won’t threaten the validity of your warranty.

Bottom line: Coolmaster will give you good service at a fair price. And that can be harder to find that it you might think.

When our A/C unit died we decided to get a whole new system. We called COOLMASTER as usual. We were so satisfied with the whole process, including all the people involved. They were all so knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. Russell went beyond to get the job done efficiently. They did a great job. We were very happy with their work.
