Ray was dispatched to us through HWA. His company is very unprofessional and is not responsive what so ever. His company never answers any calls or return voicemails. Ray, himself, rarely answers and is constantly dodging calls. I had to use a different phone number to call for him to answer. What kind of company does that?

Eventually, we got an appointment for him to come between 8-10 am, but he never showed up. I called him and he actually answered! He seemed like he totally forgot about the appointment and made an excuse and said he had sent out another technician. He said he'll call the technician to check his ETA. Never got a call back from him and he never answered my calls again. I thought, oh he might be busy, and waited the entire day. No call back. No technician showed up. No answers. Nothing.

I called HWA the next day for a different company. They talked to Ray, and he actually dare to say that they only service my area between 10-2. He personally set my appointment between 8-10 that day. If he doesn't want to come or can't come, just let us know. We'll gladly ask HWA to find someone else instead of wasting days of useless wait and missed work.

Fantastic SERVICE , all-around. From explanation of problem with our system to installation of new, including follow-up afterwards, everyone associated with Cavin AC were courteous and exceedingly professional. Came to us through our home warranty service (HWA) but would not hesitate to call them again. Thanks y'all. !

This company was assigned to us through Home Warranty of America, the company we purchased a home warranty through when we purchased our house in August. The end of October our heater went out after turning it on for the second time. Long story short, the guy was terrible with communicating. We thought it was the home warranty company causing the problems and hold ups, but it didn’t take long for us to change our mind. In January the part was finally replaced, but then they found we needed ANOTHER part. They insisted it shouldn’t take as long for this to come in. Fast forward 7 months and the heater STILL isn’t fixed and the AC went out. We requested to have someone else assigned to the AC bc we could not get a return call from Cavin’s updating us on what the hold up was for the heater. Any time we did get him on the phone the answer was always “we are waiting on the part.” I was not about to have to deal with going though an entire summer with no AC like I had done through the winter with no heater.

This is the second time this company has said they would show up to our house between 10-2 and no showed! This is after weeks of trying to get phone calls returned. He installed a new unit in our home and one whole side of our house doesn’t heat/cool. Which are my toddlers and newborns room. This company is an absolute JOKE! Anyone who has a bad experience needs to complain to the warranty company and report them to the BBB. Can’t believe they haven’t been sued out of existence by now. They do not stand behind their work and are extremely shady!! Beware !!

Great Experience! I used Cavin's through HWA. I contacted HWA after 4pm and got an appointment with Cavin's the next morning. HWA kept me updated on his arrival time. Ray arrived on time and greeted me professionally. He was quick but very thorough with the evaluation and repair of the problem. He explained the issue and how to handle any further leaks. He also answered any questions I had about home warranties in general.

Read your contracts and do your preventative maintenance (PM). PM is NOT included in your warranty, however most companies will let you schedule PM through their dispatch system.

Steven came and troubleshooted our A/C and found the faulty thermostat wire. He was very thorough and would definitely recommend this company.

The absolute worst interactions I’ve ever experienced. I was given these people by my Sears home warranty to inspect my heating system. I waited a day or so to see if I’d be contacted by them and no one called me. I reached out to them and this guy asked where I lived and said he’d be out the following week. He even had the ordasity to suggest I LEAVE MY DOOR KEY so he could come into my home if I had to work!! This fool was crazy. Well, day he was to come no reply from him; I called and he said the weather was bad and he’d call me later that afternoon once it cleared up. Now I live in Slidell and weather was perfect yet he obviously was referring to his weather in Denham Springs. Why on earth would Sears have someone that far away to service my unit?
I called back repeatedly and NEVER got a response from these people. I was totally disgusted and called Sears immediately to report them I told them I’m not paying for a policy to receive this unacceptable service. They asked if I paid the service charge of $100. I told them no as he never came to my home. Sears then sent me another company that was within 20 miles of my home. I called them and the service was impeccable. Cavins is garbage and should not have an occupational license to service a gutter!!

I too was given Cavin’s Through our home warranty. The claim was submitted on the 20th of June. It is now the 26th and we have yet to hear from them. This is after repeated unanswered phone calls and several messages. I called our home warranty company and asked why they would use a company with a rating of 1. There was only one positive review and I can only guess it was a family member. Every review was like deja vu. Do not use this company.
