More than once, Casey has managed to provide solutions that don't involve "upselling", when we were otherwise none-the-wiser. Instead he is swift, knowledgeable and fair about the work he performs, and won't tell you that you need something when you don't. I will continue to use Beaver HVAC thanks to Casey's trustworthiness.
FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER, I have a home warranty in which found this company. To start I was given a window from 1-3. At 4pm I called for an update. I was told I was not on the list for the day. But he was in town and could stop by. GREAT so I thought. Doug came told me freon was low but he had some and would put in to get me by as it was hot.(very grateful he did) He then called the warranty company from his truck. Warranty company told him to prove with pictures the leak. So he spent 2 hours cutting my basement unit apart to take pictures. Taped the unit back together and said he would be back once the warranty company approved service. All is well so I thought. UPDATE: That was Aug 11th. Today is 9/9/21 I am told by Doug he is unable to upload pictures from his iPhone every week I call. Now my calls continue to go unanswered, even left a message on his wife's cell that was listed online. STILL NOTHING. SO I AM LEFT WITH THIS. I don't understand why he took the job in the first place. What a headache for me.
There are no hours posted on their website. I called the first number it referred me to a man named Doug. I called Doug and it went to his voicemail which was full and couldn’t leave a message, so I sent a text message. He asked me if the fan was running and said I’ll see how my day goes for time to look at it. This was at around 8 am. At 11:45 am I sent another text saying to let me know if he wasn’t going to make it today or tomorrow. Because I would call another company to try to get someone today. (Temperature will get down to 26 degrees tonight hints my urgency) By the time afternoon comes I call another company and text Doug at 1pm to let him know I found someone else. After no communication all morning he send me a text that said, “I guess I shouldn’t have rearranged my schedule to fit you in. Sorry it didn’t work out.” I found this to be really unprofessional especially since the man didn’t make any attempt to communicate any of this to me. Doug I hope you were just having a bad day and this isn’t a normal behavior for you.
Spoke with Doug, and it was like talking to my dad - honest, helpful, and efficient. He sent his son to our home within 2 hours to fix our air conditioner. HOT week - we can’t thank you enough!!! Will be using you for all future needs!
It's never fun trying to find a new HVAC company. My A/C went out sometime this last Wednesday. I reached out to two other companies initially and was still waiting for either a call back or a notification that a service tech was in the area.
Friday afternoon a customer at work suggested Beaver Heating & Air and put me in touch with Kile. I reached out (past noon) that Friday knowing that it was a long shot I could even get a response back let alone same day service. While same day service wasn't an option (understandably so) I did get a quick response from Kile that they would be working on Saturday and could possibly squeeze me in. I'm fully aware that a "squeeze in" is not a guarantee of service, but just the willingness to try was better than what I had received thus far. Saturday didn't end up happening which is totally understandable, but the communication was very good!
Fast forward to today (Monday) and they were able to not only get out on a service call but were able to schedule it around the soonest I could get off of work. Casey came out and in 20 minutes I had A/C blowing cold again. He identified the problem, fixed the problem and explained it to me in this timeframe and DIDN'T try to upsell me on anything unnecessary! To put that last part in perspective, my unit is from 1993 (or older) and I was literally expecting to be told I needed a new unit regardless of if it was true or not.
In the end it was a simple repair that cost me under $200, but the communication and honesty involved in the repair is why I would recommend them to anyone I know. I'm very happy to have found a new HVAC company that I trust for future repairs!!
Doug was great! It didn't take long at all for him to fix the issue with my furnace. He was respectful and professional. I will be calling him for any service repairs I need. Highly recommend him.
Our A/C went out on a Saturday on a 90 degree/humid day. I called a different and larger company in the area and set up an appointment. They called back an hour later and had to cancel because their on-call technician wouldn’t answer the phone. I then called Beaver. Doug sent someone right over to evaluate the issue. Doug came back within an hour once he knew what the problem was. Rather than trying to sell a new part or upgrading my system completely he found a used part in his shop that took care of my problem and I had cool air flowing through my house within 3-4 hours of making my call. When you find yourself in a situation in which your family is hot or cold due to a faulty A/C unit or furnace and just want a fast fix with someone that will treat you with integrity give Doug a call. Alicia and I really appreciate the great service and we’ll be sure to contact you if we have any future needs with our heating or cooling systems.
We ended up going with someone else, because we had a relationship built, but heard through two contacts Beaver HVAC is great. He called me back with in an hour of texting him and was able to give me a quote over the phone that was comparable to the other company. I wanted to leave a positive review, because I’ve heard great things about his work and he spent time explaining everything to me over the phone and was friendly and professional. We will definitely keep this business in mind for future projects.
Doug was very professional and was able to fix items that other plumbers looked at in the past and weren't able to help. Examples of this include not only fixing my hot water heater, but reducing the noise that occurred while it was running. He also fixed a damper in my bathroom that had been banging every time the wind would blow from a certain direction. Many contractors cannot hear subtle sounds, but Doug can. I will for sure call him in the future.
