Our ac went out late on a Friday night with thunderstorms moving into the area. Many people we called didn't even call back or declined to come at almost midnight with storms on the way.
Fosters called right back. They seemed genuinely interested in our issue and the fact my husband needed an as he'd just had surgery that afternoon. It took him no time at all to pinpoint the problem, we needed a new capacitor for the outside condenser unit. He had the part that would fit any model.
He worked quickly, lot only by our interior light and flashlights. He also took the time to do a general check and clean service since he'd have it all opened up anyway.
I thought our bill was more than reasonable and much lower than I had feared for a new part. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family!
Jake at Fosters just patiently answered a question. I appreciate the time he took and his expertise. He went the extra mile. I've always been impressed and pleased with Foster Heating & Air Conditioning.
Full replacement of furnace and air conditioner for my old house. The gentleman who came out to give us the quote was great at explaining the options and was upfront with the costs. The crew that installed did a wonderful job, every one of the people we dealt with were polite and happy to answer questions. Highly recommend!
Technicians were busy after the storm so took 2 days for them to come out to fix the A/C. Prompt and polite for the visit. Gave helpful advice about ongoing maintenance. Charge seemed reasonable.
I would caution you on the use of Fosters for your HVAC repair needs. While I cannot speak to the quality of their work, I will tell you that, from my experience, they use "scare tactics" and withhold information in order to profit.I recently had them come out and look at a Bryant Furnace I was having problems with. The technician came in, did not pull out a single tool to pull anything apart, and stated that it was the heat exchanger based on the smell. When I queried about the cost to fix it, he stated it would probably be $1000-$1200. The unit is more than 15 years old so he said it needed to be replaced. The sales rep came out and was thorough in his analysis and showed be an estimate for 3K to replace the unit. This was a Wednesday afternoon and he stated that I needed to make a decision by 3PM (it was 2:15) in order for them to be able to install it on Friday. I did not have any heat and did have slight levels of CO2 in the house.
Something did not sit completely right with me so I called the manufacturer, Bryant. They referred me another Heating and A/C company. They came out, spent about half an hour looking at the unit, confirmed it was the heat exchanger and they will be back to repair it for a total of $375.00. I paid an 80.00 service fee to Fosters for them to come out and conduct what I believe to be a scam to replace my furnace when it did not need to be replaced. Please use caution when getting estimates from Fosters. Get second opinions...
I recently had Fosters install a new Furnace and AC, as well as some ductwork to help better heat the 2nd floor of my older home. Their staff was very professional and friendly (as always), and I even got a call from a manager about a week after the work was done just to make sure we were satisfied and that things were performing to my expectations. If Customer Service matters to you, call Fosters.
Have put in calls to Fosters since September 2020. Finally got a response back in May 2021. Said they couldn't schedule anything until late June. Been a customer for 20 years. Always spoke highly about them until now. Not sure what happened there and what changed, but very unhappy with them now.
Had an 'emergency' situation with our furnace gas valve going out right before leaving for the weekend. They came out right away to fix the problem and were unable to do so. As soon as they opened today, they called and came to fix our furnace immediately, knowing that we have a newborn at home. Truly appreciate the service!
I wouldn't recommend. I had fosters come out and fix my furnace. It worked for a day and a half. Had them come back out. They couldn't fix because the first guy messed up. I was without heat for several days. They finally fixed it with the third guy they sent out.
